About the Song
Club 27 pays homage to the many famous and beloved musicians that surprisingly have died at the age of 27. The phenomenon around that particular number has intrigued people ever since, so much so that the “27 Club” has become a rather commonly known term for the group of musicians that have left us at that age, most of them in the 1960’s and 70’s. After all, some of the world’s most influential musicians are in the club. Their music will live on and continue to inspire generations to come. The band that could be formed in that club would turn every band on earth to shame.
“This song, despite the morbid subject, was a heck of a lot of fun to write and record. None of these people will be forgotten and we will continue to celebrate their music.”
Jung Roe –
One of the finest modern hard rock songs I’ve heard in a long time. Some awesome singing and wonderful guitar riffs here reminiscent of Hendricks and Santana. From the fast Rock and Roll sounds of “Club 27” to heart string pulling “Still a Friend of Mine” ballad, MonaLisa Twins incredible talent shine as they show the broad dynamic musical range they are capable of. Every time I get to the end of the album, these last two tracks remind me of just how great these girls are.
