About the Song

The final track on the album ORANGE is a tribute to the rebel with a cause, the non-conformist, the outside-the-box thinker. While such people are sometimes considered as rude, embarrassing, provocative or even insane they are also very valuable for a society. Without them we would still believe the earth is flat, illness is God’s punishment and war is bringing peace.

Therefore the song suggests we consider them as friends not foes. Rumor has it that the Twins had a specific person in mind while writing that song and that, if you listen carefully, the lyrics might reveal who it is.

Still A Friend Of Mine was the last song written for ORANGE and it was the perfect one to end off the album. Our Dad Rudi composed and played the piano on this, as all other piano parts on this album. It’s the first and so far only song we’ve ever recorded that doesn’t feature any guitars but we absolutely love how it turned out”

Started following you because of your beautiful Beatles renditions. Turns out you also excel at originals too! Well done.

This is beautiful tune. Enjoyed it very much. Keep up the good work.

MonaLisa Twins at their best. This song is absolutely beautiful and sublime. If you thought beautiful pop ballads like these only came from Simon and Garfunkle, and Elton John, enter MonaLisa Twins!
