I had a lot of children 45s from Peter Pan Records. My favorite as a little kid was “Puff the Magic Dragon” on the A-Side and “Sweety Bear” on the B-Side. Think I still have it.
The first album that my parents bought me was The Partridge Family’s Up-to-Date. A bit cringeworthy now, but “I’ll Meet You Halfway” still remains a good song and I still play it on the guitar sometimes.
The first rock 45 was Styx’s “Renegade” which I liked so much my first album purchase, Styx’s Pieces of Eight followed afterward.

“Make Show” explains it all. Kudos and thank you to the MonaLisa Twins for doing things in their own way.
I am convinced that Canada should be the next major market that they pursue. The country is very “Indie-Friendly” based on the CBC and the many Indie stations that are in their big markets.

Rick Beato is awesome. I have been enjoying his videos for quite a while.
I was first turned on to Bach while taking a History of Music course as a university undergraduate. The Baroque period continues to be my favorite era of classical music. My major paper for the course was a comparison of the music of Rush to the Baroque period. It was a pretty good paper for an eighteen year old kid.
Thank you Jung, for posting this. Maybe Mr. Beato can do a “What Makes This Song Great” on one of the MonaLisa Twins’ songs.

My MLT package came in today. Absolutely love the studio scribbles. Plus, the way that the scribbles were packaged was so nice!

Canada has another great one on the way! Jadyn Rylee’s “Stairway” came up on my algorithm a few days ago and…wow, she is great! This is several years ago, and now she is doing original work as well. Check out her music. Way to go Toronto!

Will never forget them performing at the opening of SkyDome in 1989. “I’m Still Searching” was done with the band at the top of their game!
I was lucky to live right on the U.S./Canada border. Had access to all that great Canadian music. Now, I live about twenty minutes away so the influence is still there. Gowan, Rush, The Spoons, Luba, Serena Ryder, and Jann Arden are just a few of my favorites. Met Gowan a couple of times and what a gentleman he is! We saw Jann Arden in May for the third time and she was fantastic!
May we never forget about the great Canadian content!

Yes, I remember that as well! The 70’s had the best cartoons. It was a great time to grow up!
You have started a great thread. You are going to enjoy the comments from the MLT Club members. They are a group of outstanding people and I have learned a lot about music and different places around the world!

Those three are my favorites as well, and I have to add “Make Show” to my initial list of go-to tunes. But you know how it is, new favorites will come up as I listen to the album again and again.
There are no B-side songs in this awesome piece of work! Some people may say “Pretty Little Thing” would fall into that category, but that is a special song for us MLT Club members who shared the “Neve Experience” in real time. In many ways, the song is for us, and especially for the Wagner family!

Definitely! I like collecting game-used baseball jerseys, bats, etc. It is like owning part of the process. The Studio Scribbles fall into that category. Shows how Mona and Lisa worked towards the finished product along with some chords, fun doodles, sticky notes, and even the tea mug ring! Just had to purchase all four! And, of course, the CD was a mandatory item!

“Wonderful Tonight” is my favorite from the first concert. If the album is consistent with the concert playlist, it is the second song from the show. Lisa seemed nervous during the first song; namely, “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”. However by the second song, Lisa relaxed and just let her talent and her hard work do their thing! By the end of the song, she realized:
“There’s nothing I can’t do, there’s nothing I’m not good at, there’s nothing I am not the pro!”
I just love that quote from the making of “I Want to Kiss You”.
Her solos were incredible!
