  1. Hi, I’m Filippo, i just received my 1 year MLT membership. Thanks to Diana for the gift. I hope this year will be great for everyone. Ciao

      1. I discovered MLT on youtube because I love The Beatles and I often like listening to Beatles cover. I then started listening to the other songs too and appreciating them. I play piano as a hobby since I was a child and I love music.

  4. I watched the Livestream again last night and must say the music sounded even better the second time around. I also took down a few notes from the chat. There were 36 U.S States represented in the chat as well as 35 countries including Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Russia, Nicaragua, Gambia and get this, Antarctica. I’d say you were being heard all over the world, amazing. Also, I did not see one negative comment. The most requested songs were Hallelujah and Flight of the Bumble Bee. And as of today there have been more than 36,000 views. I don’t know how to determine success for a livestream but I think you were close.

      1. Thanks Bud, I took my time scrolling through the chat but still could have missed a state or country but I know I got most of them. Some countries there were multiple viewers and Germany, England and of course Canada had many viewers. I think they did well.

      2. I also just realized, because there was a viewer from Antarctica, all 7 continents were represented, pretty cool.

      3. I once had a high school Music student whose dad worked as a scientist in Antarctica one-month a year. There can’t be many people who do that!
Thanks again for keeping track of all the countries! I find it hard to listen to our twins while trying to read & post Chat, but it was fun! — Bud

      4. Bud, I’m not sure how life works in Antarctica but I imagine a team of scientists sitting in a tent doing research, only Sunday they were taking a break and listening to the twins.

      5. Tim, I have to admit that my eyes popped when I saw you report that the livestream was being viewed in Antarctica! I wasn’t even sure that the internet was available there due to the logistical difficulties there would be with both fiber and satellite connections. I found this article that explains how it works:

        https://www.pilotfiber.com/blog/antarctica-internet

      6. David, that’s an interesting article. I didn’t give it much thought, I just assumed there was some sort of satellite connections. It’s kind of funny that internets speeds are actually faster on the moon than in Antarctica. I’m glad to know that with internet time being an extreme premium there that they use it for only essential matters, like watching the MLT Livestream.

      7. Yeah, I didn’t understand why it would be faster on the moon than in Antarctica, unless they’re assuming the same Mbps for the moon that they described for New York.

The trick with using satellites for Antarctica is that a so-called geostationary satellite that “hovers” at a fixed point in the sky has to orbit over the equator, meaning it would always be below the horizon as viewed from Antarctica. So they have to use a network of satellites with highly tilted orbits, each of which is over Antarctica for only a few minutes at a time.

    1. Thank you, Tim, for analyzing the chat! I knew that there was good global representation but had no idea that so many countries participated. And all 7 continents – wow! What a demonstration of a very positive use of the internet AND the extraordinary power of excellent music + beautiful souls for good in this world!

      1. Thanks Jeanette, it is amazing how the internet can connect us and a YouTube video can reach all corners of the world. Bringing together 1700 hundred people from all walks of life to enjoy one thing we have in common, the love of good music.

    2. Thanks for pulling the stats Tim. Truly international indeed, 35 countries nice. I did post some MLT videos a while ago at a Korean music forum site, maybe it worked. 😁

      1. That’s a good idea to try Korea. I posted their cover of Rodriguez’s Sugar Man a while back at a South African station. Since that was so popular there when it was released, I figured they’d love it. I never heard from them.

  5. The livestream to the general public was a huge success it appears. I worried that the chat part would too chaotic for the ladies to keep up with since they had over 1700 viewers at the time. It’s a great way to give the folks who are subscribers to them on YouTube and Facebook a chance to see them more like we do on the MLT club and wow what a great source of additional funding for them. That was quite a well paying busking gig I think. Even they seemed surprised at the donations. I’m just hoping the word will get around to a larger audience and they can build on that and also get the members of the MLT Club up over 1000 steady paying numbers. As a small business it’s a comfort to be able to rely on a solid steady stream of income to help them budget the cost of their content and maybe we’ll get the next album of original music sooner that 5 years since WHY?

You gals are really naturals I think when it comes to the Livestreaming format. Just tell people more about yourselves and your music and play them music and let those delicious harmonies soak into their ears and minds. The rest will happen on it’s own.

    Stay groovy.

  6. Another terrific livestream! I really do hope the it has the desired effect on membership and exposure for the girls and their wonderful parents!!!
Diana I cannot say enough about your generous gift to 5 very fortunate people, that was above and beyond!
I had some reservations as I mentioned before, but all in all the respondents were very well behaved. And I hope the requests for nuptials brought smiles, though it was to be expected I think. If I were single and 30-ish it would certainly be foremost in my mind….. although it would be a very difficult choice to try and make should either one of them accept (haha).
Great way to ring in 2024!

  7. IDEA – Mona and Lisa, you recently issued a questionnaire.I can’t remember the exact context, be here is a super idea in which you arrange and play songs requested by the MLT Club..

    It could work like this:

1/ The MLT Club asks its member which songs they would like Mona and Lisa to arrange and play. We all respond with a list our favourite classic numbers yet to be performed by the groovy girls..

2/ The fab 2 pick about 10 songs from this list which they would most like to apply their special magic to.

3/ An official questionnaire is issued to all MLT Club members asking everyone to select their favourites from this shortlist.

4/ The top two most voted for songs are then arranged and performed by Mona and Lisa to the delight of their adoring club members 🙂

I may have missed something and there may already be a formal process, but if not, please consider my super idea 🙂

  8. I was out of town and on the road most of Sunday, so I missed the live show. 🙁 After a 19 hour day, I was just going to watch a minute but of course wound up watching it all. It was great seeing commenters tracking attendance as it ticked up–1300, 1400, up to more than 1700. Seeing the donations was heartwarming, just knowing there’s a larger audience out there that loves the MLT.

Here’s hoping this is just the start of a tremendous 2024 for Lisa and Mona and Michaela and Rudi.

    1. Back when we were voting on whether to open the Christmas livestream to the larger YT audience, I think most of us were of two minds: yes, we wanted a chance to have the Twins to ourselves and yes, we wanted to give their music as much exposure as possible. I know it was extra work, but I think the two Livestream approach really was the best solution. I hope coming out of it there’ll be lots more members for the MLT Club, lots more sales of CDs, and just lots more fame and fortune for team MLT. I don’t think they’re at risk of getting spoiled by it just yet. 😉

  9. What a great show! I had my doubts that it would work out this well but it really did. We watched on the TV screen for the live show and only checked the computer for the chat a couple of times, so I had to watch again later to see all the messages. I also found out just how bad our TV sound system is when I listened again on the computer with the earphones in.

    Nine songs – a new MLT record for a live stream – that’s a mini-concert.

The YouTube “busking basket” worked out great for you guys. I’m interested in going back and seeing how all the different currencies convert to pounds and dollars, but that is certainly a Twins “busking” record.

Finally, a big thanks to Diana for the big giveaway – 5 new members.

  10. Just one point to watch out for in livestreams. Not everyone is in sync, i.e. YouTube shows ads which interrupt the live broadcast so some people can be between 0 and many seconds behind. Only an issue with the giveaways though as they rely on good timing. For example, YT put up an ad for me just as the pick-a-number start was to be announced! And the chat was clapping for the end of a song while I was still watching it being played. This might be because I use the pop-out chat window on my laptop which is ahead in time compared to the live video on my TV. Just a few observations for next time.

    1. I had the same problem Allan. My video ended up 7 minutes behind the chat by the end of the show. It was ok for me as I didn’t plan on playing the numbers game and stayed out of the chat for the most part. I did enjoy reading the chat though, especially the new names from all over the world.

    2. You know, I don’t think my stream was interrupted by ads even once, which is strange given how often YT sticks those in. Maybe because I couldn’t watch it live. At any rate, I remember having a time or two in early Livestreams where things got out of whack for me with the chat. Re-loading the page got everything back in sync. Not a great solution, I know, but if you find the chat is out of whack, I think a quick reload will set it right again.

      1. Yes, it’s always worth a try, plus you can scroll the time bar to the right to try and be right up to time. Still annoying sometimes though.

      2. Agreed about refreshing the page, I have had issues with the Chat not starting, it seems to eventually, but I’ve had times where the whole works just seemed toasted, not working as a whole whatsoever, and refreshing seems to get it sorted pretty quickly. Not immediately though, sometimes patience lets it resolve its issues on its own even faster.

Refreshing should get things sorted though, it tells the site to download everything again, so you should get current state on the server delivered to you.

As far as ads go, it’s my understanding that creators have some control over them, although I’ve also seen where YT changed that last fall as well. Not sure what if anything MLT might have been doing with that though. I don’t recall seeing any ads either.

      3. I only got one ad at the very beginning but my video kept freezing up and running behind the chat. I had several windows open following the football games and chatting with friends about the games. Plus, I was trying to figure out how to leave a tip. I eventually figured that out. I’m sure refreshing it would have helped, I remember doing that once during the Christmas livestream and it reset everything to normal.

  11. And yes, Diana that was a fantastic idea…. A gift to five new people…. And a gift to Mona and Lisa. Excellent!🤓

  12. I did not get to watch it live, but I just finished it a little while ago! It was awesome! Very professional as usual! 🤓

  13. What a wonderful performance, live stream today. It really felt like I was at a concert. One question. Was the live stream anything like you hoped it would be? Was it MORE than you hoped? (What a turnout there was). Please do so again when you can. (I missed almost all of the Advent streams live, because, of course, I went back and watched them all, because of my work schedule, so seeing you ‘live’ was very special for me). Here’s hoping you have a whole new gang of fans here at MLT. Thank you, girls, very much.

  14. That was really amazing today. The livestream was truly international, people from all over the globe represented. This is just a glimpse into the future as MLT music proliferate to every corner of the globe. What an incredibly generous awesome idea Diana, great way to introduce new fans to the Club. Absolutely loved all the songs today Mona and Lisa you played it all so wonderfully! Again was so magical to hang out with you both my friends, and the MLT community. This is so special. Thank you. 💖

      1. C’mon, you both are! I didn’t get to watch the Livestream as-it-happened, but watching it later I saw you both donating and participating in the chat. You’re great ambassadors for the Club.

  15. Congratulations on another successful live stream. Wow, that was a good turnout. Marlo and I were listening from the car on our way back from a weekend at our son’s place. You sounded crystal clear. We love the acoustic Politician. You two never cease to amaze us. It was really interesting to listen without watching, although we can not wait to watch.

Thanks to Diana for that awesome prize! Is she groovy, or what?

Thank you ladies for sharing so much with us. The musical portion of this was a true testament of your talents. Bravo! We had a funny moment when Marlo mumbled,”Gee, it is a hazy shade of winter!” as we drove under a grey sky listening to you cover Simon & Garfunkel. (maybe that’s a you had to be there story? we had a good laugh)

Your performances were second to none, and the rest was tons of fun!

    Love,

    Marlo & JP

  16. That livestream was amazing. I seen over 1,700 at one point from all over the world and many donations. I think it was a very successful first livestream. There are many nice people in this club and Diana is at the top of the list. I’m going to re-watch it the first chance I get.

  17. Awesome (I know I keep saying that)
    But wow!
Amazing the effect your music has on people.
Over 1700 at one point, from all over the world
I only saw love in that group- no hate
    That’s what you can do-
    Awesome!

  18. I sure enjoyed ALL of your songs that you performed LIVE today. Very well done! On a future Livestream I would LOVE to see you play “ANY OTHER DAY!” Your performances keep getting better and BETTER! They’re “Getting Better all the Time,” as a matter of fact!!

(You don’t have to do “Flight of the Bumblebee” though. We all know what it sounds like!)

And thanks again for doing “Hazy Shade of Winter!” That could be another great video as was your “Walking in the Air!” It was impossible to keep up with all the Chat, but still fun to try & read SOME of the comments!

It was nice to see so many familiar Club Members names & comments today!!

    ROCK ON!!!! — Bud

  19. That was fabulous! Over 1700 people watching at one time and 1500 likes! Hopefully that will help with the YouTube algorithm.
You were just fantastic! Thank you for making this a SUPER SUNDAY!
A BIG THANK YOU to DIANA for her generous contribution! 🙂

      1. Thank you for the kind words Diana. It’s the people like you that make this the best club in the world! 🙂

  20. That was AMAZING! BIG CONGRATS! The donations were WONDERFUL! A shame YouTube gets 30%. Your song choices were perfect! ‘What a Wonderful World’ sounded even better than in your backyard full of dandelions in Austria! Mom and I both got chills and goosebumps during ‘Hazy Shade…’! You better be careful, tho. You may inspire a multitude of wedding proposals if you keep singing ‘Dream a Little Dream of Me’ and ‘Tonight You Belong to Me’! Both Beatles’ songs were amazing, and I can’t recall hearing you perform either of them before. ‘In it For Love’, a definite fave, always pleases! All 9 songs were EXQUISITE! THANK YOU!!!!!

  21. That was fun, thank you. I’ve thought for a long time, that while people outside the Club can hear your music and see how wonderful it is, they don’t get as much of a chance as we Club members do, to see how charming and wonderful the two of you are. This livestream sure helped with that.

The highest number of people I saw was 1775. That’s an awesome number for the first livestream!

  22. Well, that was a great success! Great Job Ladies! Both songs from my MLT Cover Bucket list have now been crossed off. It was great to hear “Hazy Shade of Winter” again and “We Can Work It Out” sounded even better than I could have dreamed!

Anyone else have a MLT Cover Bucket list song they are waiting to hear?

    1. I sure do Stephen. I really would like them to play the 59th bridge song allso love morning has broken and starry night as covers

    2. Stephen, I would love to hear them cover Simon and Garfunkel’s song “Only Living Boy In New York”. I don’t know of any one that has tried covering it and I think Mona and Lisa are the only two that could touch those harmonies. I’d also like hearing more originals as acoustics. All About Falling In Love comes to mind.

  23. Delightful show! I hadn’t thought of the potential of the “superchat” as a fundraiser for MLT. Sort of like high-tech busking.

    1. I know a few artists that do regular livestreams as a way to make money. A lot of people don’t like committing to a regular monthly payment of even $13.00, they see it as another bill. But the same people will give up $20.00 on a livestream once a month.

  24. CONGRATULATIONS on your very awesome and successful 1st public Livestream!!!!
You were absolutely Wonderful. Hoping you will get lots of new Club Members from this. And, Thank You Diana for such a generous sponsorship!

    1. Eric and Stephen, I love you guys and everyone in the club. It’s so amazing to have this MLT beacon of light in this crazy world and that we all get it!

  25. That was great fun. I estimate approx 1760 peak viewers and 1.5K likes!! I felt Mona and Lisa were a little bit nervous at the start but it went very well! I only spotted a few silly comments so great that everyone was there for the music!

  26. I really enjoyed your Livestream just now! I hope you get lots of new Members as a result! Get some rest ladies, you sure deserve it! WELL DONE!!

  27. After it’s over I’ll gently check in with my posse that I sent, and get reactions.

If any of them missed it, like they had a really good reason – abducted by aliens who didn’t have internet access – I’ll tell them they can see it after the fact too.

I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, I love it.

  28. How will the livestream be publicised? Obviously you can tell us here in the club easily, but how will you reach the 3.5 million who watched When I’m 64?

    1. They have posted on X, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. And they told us. Idk what else, maybe the clubs around the world, but there are a lot of people in social media land that could be there.

      1. I was just on those sites talking it up a bit. Not a lot of traffic there, maybe most people are trying to burn their lunch like I’ve been doing, to get ready. Can’t believe I burned it all.

This is a 1st public livestream, so I don’t quite know what to expect, but it’s a starting point. It’s a process. Subsequent livestreams can help build momentum more.

  29. cannot wait counting down the minutes cannot do with hours tooooooo long everybody in my address book UK and USA have been invited will be a cracking show once again

  30. Hope it all goes well- which I’m sure it will. I’ll catch up with it tomorrow because I’m out gigging with my Big Band tonight for the first time in 2024.

  31. This will be amazing, I’m sure! Been spreadin’ the word far and wide this past week! Friends, relatives, coworkers, even my chiropractor, etc. and several who liked my ‘Orange’ shirt over the last few wearings! I’ll send out some reminder texts as the time approaches. Hoping for a large turnout of viewers and many new members! Now relax and ENJOY, confident in the fact that we all 💕 these livestreams!

  32. Hi, hi! I won’t be able to join the live stream tonight. Toi, toi, toi for Mona and Lisa and lots of fun for everyone!! Looking forward to watching the upload later 🙂

  33. Mona & Lisa,

I sincerely wish that your Livestream tomorrow is a huge success, & that all things GOOD come as a result of all your efforts! I’m looking forward to seeing you & hearing which songs you’ll choose to sing! This will be so exciting!

    — Bud

  34. Can’t wait, counting the hours now to the big public livestream. Wow, the photo is stunning! 💛❤

    1. C’mon Jung! I have never seen Lisa and Mona NOT be stunning! Even while gardening or playing with racoons! (But don’t try that at home….)

      — Bud

  35. Greetings,
The Livestream sounds terrific. All the previous ones have been super. Besides watching on my laptop computer, where I can join in on the chats, I’m going to try to also see it in my TV (being I have YouTube there also).
So I’ll have surround sound in my room lol.
BTW – I received my 5 Year MLT Club Anniversary Pin. Now in my third year, I feel lucky to belong. See you all on Sunday.
    Cheers,
    Bobby S. 😎🎵🎵🎵🧛‍♂️
