I Don’t Mind – New Video

I Don’t Mind …

It’s been a few months since we have uploaded a new original song to YouTube so today, we decided to share a little tune we wrote for our most recent acoustic album “The Duo Sessions II” … it’s called “I Don’t Mind”.

A guitar, a ukulele, two voices and a little bit of stomping. … voilà – you’ve got a new Duo Session!

You can get the song on our new CD here, or check out the Download version if you don’t want to wait/pay for shipping 🙂

But now, enjoy the new video …

More Duo Sessions

Over in the MLT Club we release a new video every single week and many of them are Duo Sessions just like “I Don’t Mind”. This year we are really trying to up the ante and almost double the amount of Duo Sessions we’ll be posting over there compared to 2023. We’re VERY excited about that!

Of course, there will still be a good mix of vlogs, Q&As, reaction videos, livestreams, etc.

We are currently working overtime to plan and prep a lot of the content and we think it might shape up to be one of the best years for the MLT Club yet.

The MLT Club has given us the stability and safety to pursue this career unapologetically without having to be at the mercy of algorithms, social media, trends, record companies and publishers. It feels amazing and we cannot thank each and every one of our members enough. You help make our music possible!

If you’re ever curious to check it out, we and our community will welcome you with open arms and a grateful heart! ♥

  1. You two , are very rare…. I hate to say…. I was a great husband… both times!? I must be very lousy at picking women!? When I would tell the wrong joke…. or cross any line…. They did mind…. They did mind…. They did mind.🎶🤔🤓

  2. Regarding my Wings song selections for Mona & Lisa to try, here’s an interesting song of Paul’s from 1979.

Paul McCartney & Wings ~ Arrow Through Me (Official Music Video) 1979 (w/lyrics) [Remastered] (youtube.com)

And also, despite the sad title of this song, it has a very up, positive sound & groove to it. It’s a little-known song of Paul’s, but I guarantee, it’s one of his best!

I hope you enjoy these, & even more; I hope that Lisa & Mona see this! — Bud

  3. I wonder if Mona & Lisa would switch hair colors just for fun! (Or they could get various colored wigs and freak everyone out!)

    1. Lol…. I had asked this Question to them on one of their former predecessor versions of earlier website versions, many eons ago ….lol …. I can’t recall answer now… ( it’s been That Long Ago now , I’ve been a fan 15-16 yrs going … ) .. It’d be interesting all right … but Mona is slightly taller so it would still make it easier to tell whom was who … 😉🙃🤣😂👱‍♀️👩‍🦰

      1. Hi Jacki,

I can tell the difference between their facial features now, but when they were younger with the same color hair, it was kinda difficult.

Well, I gotta go conduct a school concert soon. Have a good day!

        BYE! — Bud

      1. Neil,

Well, we have heard “Purple Rain,” “Purple Haze,” “Deep Purple,” & “Purple People Eater.” So maybe Lisa & Mona could come up with a song for “Purple Hair!” That might just catch peoples’ attention, & of course whatever M & L do will be melodic, catchy & interesting! GOOD IDEA! — Bud

  4. Very nice song I like that you continue to use different instruments in your songs. Also Mona I like that you are going back to your natural hair color but that’s just me! Lol

    1. Dark hair, blonde hair, two-tone, streaked or whatever “hair style du jour” that Mona chooses will always be fantastic! And the same for that talented older (by 5 minutes) sister of hers! — Bud

  5. Thanks for posting this. Duo Sessions II is a great album i really love it, at the moment played every day while going from job to job in the car. Its a lovely catchy tune which sticks in your head once heard humming or silently singing the words another excellent release from the twins.

    1. Hi Neil. This song does indeed stay in your head long after it’s over. Such a wonderful tune, love it.

  6. A very pleasant surprise. Nice way to start the day. Sweet song. Now I’ll be humming/singing it all day. But I don’t mind.
    Cheers, Bobby S. 😎🎵🎵🎵🧛‍♂️

  7. Perfect genre song, another wonderful original by my favorite ’60s duo!
Warm, sweet, a little humorous — and beautifully rendered.
    Thank you, Mona and Lisa!

  8. I love this song. So cheerful and positive. And I love love songs anyways. I’m sitting here with a big smile on my face.

Thanks for posting this. Duo Sessions II is a great album, I’m glad I got it, and got it autographed too.

I’m looking forward to this year in the Club. I can’t wait to see what else you do.

  9. Wonderful Song, amazingly done. As so many songs You both did. Hope there’s an download option for the duo sessions 2 soon. In Germany ordering cds from england these days is unfortunately ridiculouly expensive, the custom fees are almost doubling the price which I had to realize as I ordered Your wonderful “Why?” CD a few months ago.

  10. I’m sensing a theme here. With “Dream a Little Dream of Me” and “Tonight You Belong to Me” and the originals “In It For Love” and now “I Don’t Mind” I’m getting strong early 1900s vibes. Maybe it’s the acoustic instruments or the ukulele (not used on In It For Love, but Lisa’s guitar has a similar sound in that one), but there’s also something innocently charming about the lyrics–a perfect antedote to stressful times.

I bet you two would do a killer version of Martha My Dear on two guitars or maybe guitar and uke.

    1. I remember a couple of years ago Mona and Lisa said they were really getting into music from the 1920’s, and asked us to recommend some songs from that era. I’m always looking for that influence in their music now.

I picture them covering Honey Pie and making a grainy, black-and-white, slightly sped up video in which they dress as flappers and do the Charleston, hand-crank an automobile to start it, etc.

    2. I’m very much a fan of the 1900s… the Era, music, cars, clothes, etc… The best thing I enjoyed was back in either my first or second time in Grade 7 ( yes, for personal reasons, I had to repeat Grade 7 ) or maybe it was Grade 8 History class, I chose to do oral project on 1920s and my dear beloved Grandma entrusted me with which I took extra care , her actual 1920s wedding dress/veil and a few other objects from tgat time period to bring to school to show as part of the oral project…. I either got an A+ or it was A++/A+++ ….Grandma ‘s authentic stuff clinched the Grade…. Nobody was allowed to touch the stuff, just looking was allowed… I guarded those items truly ….

      1. Great story, Jacki! You took Show and Tell to the next level. I bet the other kids were awestruck.

    3. I would love to see Mona & Lisa do “Martha My Dear,” and also “Honey Pie.” And/or almost any Wings song that would suit them. Suggestions: “Listen to What the Man Said,” “Daytime, Nighttime Suffering,” “Arrow Through Me,” “Junior’s Farm,” “Bluebird,”
“With a Little Luck,” “Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey,” or even “Say, Say, Say.”

Mona & Lisa have recorded an impressive number of Beatles songs, & I’d like to see them do more from Paul, or Paul & Wings. There are so many great songs of Paul’s to choose from! Also, some of Lennon, or George’s songs! “Happy X-Mass, War is Over” & “Jealous Guy,” are great ones, as would be George’s “Got My Mind Set On You,” or “My Sweet Lord.”

I know they can’t do every song that we suggest, but these are my suggestions. Even
for them to do ONE that I suggested would be wonderful! But I do appreciate the fact that they’re focusing on writing new songs! M & L have truly created some great versions of Beatles songs & other Rock & Folk songs & made them their own. That is a difficult feat in itself! But to also write a growing list of creative songs of their own really sets them apart from all other similar bands!

We’ll just have to see what the New Year brings us from our favorite Twins!!

      — Bud

      1. Great suggestions, Bud! But remember, they did cover “Happy Xmas, War Is Over” on their Christmas album. In my opinion the samba style was a great choice because the song can be played at a Christmas party without killing the festive mood.

      2. Hi David,

By golly, you’re right! I haven’t listened to their Christmas album for a few months, so I just checked it again. I’m listening to their version right now, & I like what they did with the Latin Beat!

Every time I wrote down a few song suggestions for M & L, I kept thinking of more, esp. with Paul’s songs. Here’s another one I suggested last year. Some of his songs like this one weren’t really hits, but they were AS GOOD AS the hits! — Thanks David!

  11. Behind that perfect, seemingly effortless performance is years of hard work and practice.
And this is a delightful & unusual original composition by the MLT Team!

Thank you, Lisa & Mona/Mona & Lisa, for another excellent Duo Session!

  12. You two convey some sense of happiness that is contagious. I’m always smiling after hearing you two sing. You two are incredible! 👏👏👏🙂

  13. Great song! I finally was able to send it to my 11 year old granddaughter! She’s learning the ukulele and guitar! 🎶🎶🤔 you never know!!🤓

  14. This is an Uplifter in one’s day … Truly #MLTBUZZLUVGROOVIFIED Bonafide, Share-Worthy , etc …. Yes…. to Future Bless of creating new content, creative song/album conjuring, blogs, Livestreams, and whatever gets Bestowed Upon You All to Embrace, Be Inspired With/By, perhaps new holiday/video locations adventures too….

  15. Another fine original . . . with very lovely Beatle-sounding harmonies and chord changes of the sort that distinguished their early songs. Thanks so much!

  16. A woman out here coined “sibling harmony” to me at a small gig where two sisters played. As much as your covers are impeccable, all of your originals are often impeccabler. Thank you

  17. I’m thrilled to hear you’re planning to bless us with more Duo Sessions this year! I trust you’ll proceed at your pace and not stress about self -imposed deadlines. We are all so fortunate to be allowed along on your musical journey, and ultimately want what’s best for all four of you, whatever number of new releases that ends up being. Stay healthy, relaxed, and always GROOVY!

  18. What a great song about tolerance and humour. Something that is needed more than ever in out strange time and age. Keep going girls and you will become the Anti-Snowflakes of your generation.

  19. I love your Duo Sessions. “I Don’t Mind” is such a clever love song and you have a way of creating such pleasing melodies. I’m reminded of something Sir Paul McCartney once sang…Some people want to fill the world with silly love songs. What’s wrong with that?…..

  20. I can hear some Beatles melody in it.
Time to step out of the Beatles shadow and show the world your true talents.
You’ve been blessed by God, and you can make it on your own. My prayers and blessings to you both.

  21. There’s an “intangible” to this song that I can’t put my finger on. One day it will hit me about 3 in the morning…haha.

    1. Maybe a “tinge” of Nancy Sinatra’s ”Sugar Town” ? Still, I like it 👍🏻

  22. Every song shows more and more talent. Reminds me of the Beatles. I can “hear” the orchestra behind many of your songs. Find a good producer and promoter and you will be major rock stars!

  23. I love this song, such an uplifting piece, catchy melody and great lyrics. The harmonies are wonderful, Ukelele rocks and your smiles are contagious. So true, being able to laugh is being groovy. 🎶💕

  24. Absolutely delightful! I’m so glad to hear that you are planning more Duo Session videos and selections in 2024; the first two volumes of the series are my favorite MLT recordings, and are always on “heavy rotation” in my car! I’ve always been a big fan of live music, and your duo sessions are like mini concerts, showcasing your talents on a variety of instruments and in a variety of styles — lots of bang for the buck! Well done you! 🧡🧡👏🏼👍🏼

  25. Wonderful cheery song. Lovely vocal harmonies and guitar-yuke harmonies too. Cheered up a dreary day.

Well done on hitting 100m views on YT – insane

    Stay groovy as always xx
