Getting Better – Duo Session

Our prognosis for 2019!

First of all, before we get into today’s video – MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you who are celebrating today!

We know we have members here from Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Denmark, … whose Christmas is on the 24th, so we want to send a special shout out to you: Frank, Gerald, Gerhard, Gert, Isabell, Jürgen, Kenneth, Marián and Meloman! And of course to our family members and friends from back home who are reading this!

For today we’ve prepared some more music! There are a bunch of songs we have played over the years that we never recorded. Time to change that 🙂 Many of you seemed to really enjoy our last acoustic sessions from the SATB Podcast (In It For Love & Two Of Us), so we decided to film another one.

Not only is “Getting Better” a great song, we thought it’s also a perfect one for the end of the year which is speeding towards us. It’s what we wish for all of you – that every year will be better than the last one and that you and your loved ones will shine in 2019. 🙂

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves – it’s still Christmas now and of course you’ll hear plenty more from us in the next weeks, even after tomorrow’s final day of the Advent Calendar.

See you all tomorrow!

HUGS,
Mona & Lisa

What a great version!!
And thank you so much for the personal greetings 🙂
The last few days I didn’t check the advent calandar because I was so busy celebrating with my family (which of course is a good thing :-)). Now I’ve taken my time to have a look at the remaining little doors (it’s Türchen, isn’t it ;-)) and they’ve made me smile a lot!
I hope you’ve had a wonderful time with your loved ones and a great 2019 ahead!

Mona and Lisa-
Thank you for this wonderful version
I can’t decide what I like most – I could watch you ladies play guitar all day. You are so skilled and visually captivating as you perform; or is it how beautiful you both are ? Or is it you harmonize like John and Paul – your voices together are magnificent.
Doesn’t matter, the whole is phenomenal
Merry Christmas to you and your family !

I Luv it ????… I was sick last night before leaving my oldest bros… Not sure what made me sick… Too much Xmas dinner?!…..Otherwise it was a fab day spent with my immediate family… I went to work today as I felt better and checking in to see what today’s advent treat was… Well I am Getting Better… After seeing this.. Cheered me up… Going to another family gathering with relatives Xmas Day… I’ll be watching what I eat… Don’t care for a repeat… Groovy sweaters you’re both wearing… Added MakeMeSmileFeelBetter ????????✌️????????☮️????????????❤️. Thankyou for making my day and adding to making me feel even more better ????????????

Sorry to hear you were sick Jacki. What are you doing going to work on Christmas Eve, especially when you aren’t that well? Hope Christmas Day’s festivities treat you better! Yes, it is getting better. MLT are just the best and we can always count on them to bring us joy, anytime of the year! I hope their fantastic club continues to grow and prosper throughout 2019. Can’t wait for their next acoustic video and their new baby, ‘MLT Three”! They are probably working on an appropriate title right now! What do you think it might be? ‘Apple’ perhaps!

Lol.. @ Howard… I said I wasn’t exactly sure of cause but the fact that I forgot to take allergy pills before going there because of my allergies to their dog didn’t help and I probably ate too much rich sweet stuff… Guess I can’t quite handle like I used to for that and the excitement in general… I always work Xmas Eve… Why would I not?!… I work with elderly…. I do however always take Xmas and Boxing Day off????????????

As you said, there are people of many Countries in here. Maybe some are Christians, others not. Maybe some even don’t believe in God and that’s OK. All we have to do is believing in Love, that’s all we need (some one said), no matter religions, races, anything. That’s what I really believe. Merry Christmas to all of you!

Great comment, Ademir! I myself do not believe in God either (or at least not the God as described by most organized religions – I am a pantheist; and I think we shouldn’t judge others for what gods, if any, they believe in), but I always celebrate Christmas and Easter with family members – as you said, it’s all about the LOVE.

Hi Christomir! I believe in God, because I feel Him/Her, not because any religion, Everything is God, isn,t it? But I do believe in Jesus and others Masters. Their messages are so simple, “Love each other”, then the World gets better.

Yup, that is my pantheist perception too – God is everything (The Nature, The Universe, or whatever you choose to call it). Jesus and the prophets were (mostly) real people, but none of them was a god, or a son of god. But I too like their simple messages – that we should be decent people, and love each other, not hurt each other for selfish reasons 🙂
But I suggest we end the religious discussion here 😛

Well said Ademir and Christomir. We’re all “In It For Love”, and “All You Need is Love” as summed up by two very awesome bands we all love. In the end Love is all that matters!

Woooooow MonaLisa!. It is the essence of SGT. Pepper´s!. It is my favorite album of The Beatles…. and it is always very beautiful to hear it in their voices. You’re the best! Thank you and Merry Christmas to all. I love it! 🙂

Perfect song choice indeed and a great way to head into the new year! Such enthusiasm and fun! I always enjoy the interaction between the two of you during your live performances – the smiles. laughter, happy spirit….the strong bond! You were meant to be doing exactly what you are doing and through that making the world a happier place! 🙂

Well that was a treat. Thank you ladies for the great music and the video. The Advent calendar has been a great way to musically build up sentiment for the holiday season and feel like we spent some special time with the Wagner family doing what they do best. Lifting the spirits of their fans with music. Looking forward to more of the same in 2019.

Ladies this version is even better than on the radio during Sgt. Peppers 50th Anniversary Show. You sound Amazing. What an epic choice, and a dynamic gift to all of us.
Getting Better will certainly be watched over and over.
Any plans to release it on You Tube? You should consider it. IMO.
Quote possibly better than I’ll Follow The Sun. WOW!!!!
I hope you all have a very Happy Christmas. I know you have some special gifts from around the world. And that they are all very special to you.
Thanks Ladies for to days Gift!

Oh I love it, I love it, I love it!!!
These acoustic live performances just sends shivers listening and watching you both. Your performance here is just awesome, a hit out of the ball park.

It’s funny I was listening to Sargent Peppers album this afternoon on the record player and remember hearing this one and recalling your version on the radio broadcast and thinking how nice it would be to see you both sing it, and now to see it in video is just incredibly awesome! This song has a lot of harmonies, and so it is just perfect watching both of you knock off those beautiful harmonies and to see you actually vocalizing them is wonderful. Thanks so much, and another Merry Christmas to you both and your parents!!!! Thank you for the joy. 🙂

Thanks again Mona and Lisa. Just sublime! Took me back to 1967 with my new vinyl copy of “Sgt Peppers’” playing on the old gramophone while we sat on the lounge room floor singing along with the lyrics on the back of the album cover. A very special time that will never be forgotten. Yes, I must admit, it’s getting better, a little better all the time. Love all your acoustic work and that opening chord was simply a stunner! Have a super Christmas! It’s very hot in most of my country at the moment. Wish we could swap some of your cold for some of our heat!
