I Should Have Known Better – Duo Session

Whouohu, I …..

Why is this song so much fun to play?

The whole “A Hard Day’s Night” album is filled with songs like that. High-energy, cheeky and fun tunes! The perfect song to wrap up a week as beautiful as this last one. Here in the UK we had an unexpected late-summer heat wave which prompted a road trip filled with lots of music on the car rides. Of course, the Beatles were part of the soundtrack and songs like this made cruising through the British countryside a holiday in itself.

We hope you’ll like our take on this Beatles classic ♥

Thanks for listening and for being groovy,

Mona & Lisa

  1. Mona singing Paul’s part and playing George’s lead guitar part. Lisa singing John’s part while playing his guitar and harmonica part. Bravo! Super performance of another Beatles classic. I could almost see the train rocking you back and forth as you did the song. Back in the summer of 1964 this was the B side on the “A Hard Day’s Night” single… and I always loved this one better than the A side.

  2. Mona & Lisa, Excellent job on this, one of my favorite early Beatle’s songs, (along w/so many others!) I’ll never forget the scene from Hard Day’s Night on the train when the Lads sung this one. Such a positive song in every way! — Bud n’ Boots — (the cat.)

  3. That’s a special type of Beatles song for me. I was 8 years old when it came out. Beatles albums were in the house and my older sisters played them all the time.

So I immediately recognized it as a Beatles song when it started, and even remembered some of the lyrics, but had no idea what it’s name was. lol. Okay, it was printed on the screen, so that was a clue.

I Should Have Known Better? Well, maybe I should indeed have known better, but if you had told me the name first and asked how it goes I would have had no idea either. I’m learning all kinds of stuff here.

And of course you nail it like always. It is definitely a very fun song.

These early songs are the kind I used to stick in a party tape; everybody knows them and loves them – and usually they start singing along with it. At least that happened at my parties. Thanks!

  4. I loved that! Gee, what a profound statement on my part haha.
For the life of me I will never understand why some Negative Nellie’s have such a dislike for old Beatles songs and music. The harmonies and melody lines are so pure and clean. And of course the two of you do such a wonderful job of putting them forth for us all to enjoy.
I still find it hard to believe that my parents, Aunts/Uncles, and the “adults” of that time period found the early 60’s rock and roll so trashy and distasteful. Lots of them and my family members were musicians themselves so they should have been far more open minded I should think.
Now, these little snippets of various pieces of gear in your recordings and videos is such a cruel tease to us music gearheads. When are you going to come straight out with the goods and show us all your gear? That little Wazinator stomp box just piqued my curiosity again. I can see the Vox behind Mona (I’ve seen that countless times before) but I just know there is so much more. And of course the many guitars you both use always make me drool, especially the Rickenbacker and the Gretsch. I have PRS, Yamahas and Seagulls, but I love them all no matter what my personal fav’s are. I’m just dying to see more of what you have and use!

  5. Very nice job ladies.
But i have a priority interrupt.
There is just this week a BROAD consensus of opinion in the club that
it’s high time for Gord’s Gold to get a spin on WOTT.
There is somewhat less agreement about which nugget of Gord’s Gold to cover.
The top two dozen choices seem to be….
Oh hell why don’t you pick one out and try it when time permits.

Gordon Lightfoot will be greatly missed by all of us.

    1. Great idea Tom. I’ve been a fan of Gordon for ages. I do Sundown and In The Early Morning Rain myself, although rather poorly I’m sure. Reckon the Twins could do a really great job of many of his hits. I know they have a 12 string (Breedlove I think?), which was kind of his signature throughout his career.

  6. Ihr Lieben, das ist überragend gespielt und gesungen. Alle Lieder der Beatles mit mehrstimmigen Gesang und Mundharmonikabegleitung sind meine Favoriten, z.B. Little Child
    Danke!

  7. Die Beatles-Songs mit mehrstimmigen Gesang und Mundharmonikabegleitung mag ich besonders gerne. Ihr habt das gut drauf, einfach große Klasse.

  8. Beautiful Rickenbacker!!! The ladies bring such a refreshing cover to this classic Beatle’s song. Didn’t realize that Lisa also plays the harmonica. If it has reeds I am usually in. Woodwinds, harmonicas, accordians, oboes, squeeze boxes, B3’s, kazoo’s and Pipe Organs all have a special place in my love of music. All the way back to the Spencer Davis Group with Winwood playing the B3 on Gimmie Some Lovin, Procol Harum, The Doors ,ELP, Jimmy Smith, Paul Butterfied, Steve Miller and Booker T. Dylan, Donovan, Sonny Boy, Little Walter and James Cotton putting the harmonica into play. Astor Piazzolla and bandoneons, John Sebastian with wonderful harmonica playing (his dad was a Classical trained harmonica player recorded on several albums), Jim Kweskin and the kazoo and all the Classical Organ music that’s been coming to us for many centuries.

Here’s a little Bouree on a Home made pipe organ!!

  9. Hey Ya’ll, I just noticed something in this video. Not only is this one of the best covers of a Beatles gem but, Miss Mona is playing a Rick made in the USA. Imagine That! A German girl living in the UK playing a guitar made in the USA and singing a song that is timeless. Is the world coming together or What?

  10. Mona on lead Lisa on rhythm and harmonica, what’s happening? Seriously both you girls have the talent to play whatever part you want, I just love Lisa on her Gretch with her wonderful little break in her voice on many lead vocals with the hard working Mona on rhythm and drums providing faultless harmonies so I was confused but this song is just a perfect version showing how good you girls really are.

  11. What a great rendition of this classic Beatles songs I love it your harmonies are fabulous and Monas lead guitar and vocals are spot on
    Well ladies
You ve done the Beatles proud

  12. OMG! what a perfect cover of the song. I went to the theater in ’64 to see the movie and we could not hear a word because the girls were screaming through the entire movie. Now here we are today with two beautiful women playing this music and I’m screaming!
    This is just Too Cool…!!!

    1. As did folkie Jim McGuinn……..watching George play that 12 string Ricky during the “train scene” implanted the idea of forming a rock band built around the instrument. It worked out pretty good.

The future Mrs. Harrison (Patti Boyd) can also be spotted staring at the boys as they sing/play cards.

  13. Always one of my favorites. I bought the 45rpm of A Hard Days Night but ended up listening to the flip side more often. Great job ladies!

  14. Great cover of one of my all time Beatles songs , you sing it so well and Lisa is so good at the harmonica. Hope it will be on Duo Session Vol, 2 with Junk, Vincent Starry Starry night, and others. Merci.

  15. I love the versatility you both have! Such good musicians! And I love the sound of a Rickenbacker! I never owned one or even played one but they are so cool! Thanks for sharing!

  16. Hi. I can’t find the Duo Session video or audio recording of “I Should Have Known Better” anywhere on the site or YouTube. Can somebody point me to it please as I’d love to hear/view it. Thanks. ????

    1. Hi Maureen: I found I Should Have Known Better, right where it should be. Look in Club Music-Duo Sessions, And enjoy! Cheers, Len

      1. Thanks, Len. I found that but (on my Samsung phone, my only internet) it only contains a screen shot of the duo session video which won’t play. Have you managed to get it to play anywhere on the site, please? ????

      2. Yo Maureen: This would appear to be a technical issue, for which I am no help. I don’t have a smart phone, and you don’t have a desk top. Are there any other MLT tunes, Duo Sessions, or otherwise, that you cannot download, or does this appear to be a one of? Perhaps Rudi, the techno wizard can help. Cheers, Len

      3. Thank you, Len.???? Problem solved with your suggestion that it might be a glitch with my phone. It was! Samsung Internet (which needs upgrading!) was only showing a non-activating video pic but when I switched to Chrome, the video played perfectly well. Thanks for your help. Warm regards. Maureen ????

  17. I think Mona and Lisa should just go ahead and cover “A Hard Day’s Night.” Not the song, but the movie. Sure it might be a little tricky boiling down the different storylines and they’ll have to bring in someone very clean to play the grandfather, but if anyone could pull it off, Lisa and Mona and team can!

  18. I know I posted on this song but listening to it again and again? 1964 never sounded so good! The blend of your voices is amazing and the harp and lead guitar on the 12 string is spot on. Wow
    Love it

  19. you girls are so amazing & talented. I feel so blessed to have found you guys. You always seem to put a smile on my face & heart
    Thanks

  20. WOW very nice. Great Job. This is one of my many favorite Beatles’ songs. I always liked to sing it. It has such an upbeat & “feel good” sound to it. Looks like you both had a really fun time playing it. Thanks for playing this music. I love it.
    Bobby S.

  21. Thank You!! One of my favorite Beatles songs and the first of their songs I heard. Your versatility is just off the charts. This was a very different take on instruments. Mona on electric and Lisa on acoustic and rocking that harmonica, and that harmony sends chills up my spine. It is such a joy to hear you do your thing with such great enthusiasm and musicality. Thank you.

  22. I have always liked this song. It reminds me of a simpler time and I was about 10 years old at the time. It made me wonder about the mysteries of kissing and stuff……the usual pre-adolescent stuff. I like the guitar work you all did on it…..Mike.

  23. Wow, that was fabulous, it gave me goose bumps. I was around to hear the beatles sing this. I feel yours is a cleaner version. Again wow.

  24. The Duo Sessions were a big part of why I became an MLT Club member! Love all the songs and the fun you always look like you are having makes my heart sing ????????#GrooviusMaximus

  25. Why do I see the Beatles playing cards on a train? Well done! I like the way you handle the singing/harmonica at the same time – tricky!

  26. I have enjoyed this song since it came out, in my mind it is from the Beatles peak as far as rock goes, after Hard Days Night, their music went down a different path. I love the Twins rendition of this. First “pop” music I listened to was do wop when it was current, love how the Twins honor the integrity of roots. of rock.

  27. That was always one of my favorite Beatles songs. It was also one of the first I remember knowing was the Beatles. My dad had A Hard Day’s Night on cd which I listened to a lot & then we got the movie for Christmas back around 2000 & we used to watch it more times than I can count.

  28. It’s funny! Before I’ve watched the video I was thinking of seeing Mona playing the harmonica. Lisa did it and Mona played the guitar solo. My world is upside down (just kidding). The first time I’ve heard this song was with a Brazilian band called Renato and his blue caps. The lyrics had nothing with the original. It was different from today, It took some time to the foreign albuns beeing released here and, who had the change to listening to an imported album, took advantage. Great cover (yours), in a good mood

  29. Well done ladies. The first Beatle song I learned on the guitar. It was in the key of C which was perfect for me as it was one of the 3 chords I knew at the time.

  30. Hey Mona and Lisa!

That I such a wonderful version of a great song! And the smiles on both of your faces as your were singing the song made the performance 10 times better! I could probably watch this video 10 times straight without a break (I’ve just watched it 3 times). It’s truly a joy to watch! Thank you so much for the duo session!

  31. Great cover & sounding better than the original.
When are we getting a new album from you two great MLT’s.
Keep them coming . I would personally like some David Bowie covers .
    ????????????????

  32. Wow, you’ve just out beatled The Beatles. One of my most favourite of their songs and your duet blew it out of the sky. You get better.

  33. Your Beatlesque harmony gave me the chills… it’s so precise! As I remember, it was the HARMONY that really nabbed me when I first heard these simple songs, and I was hooked!!! You have perfect ears when it comes to capturing all the elements!
Today of course is 9/11. Twenty years ago I lost my friend and classmate Bill Weems, who was aboard that second plane that hit the WTC. Your beautiful performance cheered me up when I needed a lift… THANK YOU! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  34. YEAH, YEAH,YEAH! We love you too! This was my favorite song in my early teens and one of the first I learned to play. What a great song, and what an upbeat, happy rendition. I love it. Love the instrument “swapping” too, though it’s par for the course.
    Have it on repeat!

  35. I LOVE this song!! It was my introduction to the Beatles. I used to sing it at the top of my voice. Very badly I might add, but you young ladies; were fabulous, and look like you had a great time! You two are incredibly talented. Thank you for this. You brightened up a otherwise terrible day here in the states. You. Are. Groovy!

  36. First of all, Im really glad you had a great week in the UK, but here in the US, tomorrow will be the 20th anniversary of one of the darkest days in recent history, which is of course 9/11. Ive been watching documentaries for hours. Literally, I thought “this is friday and I haven’t checked my MonaLisa clubhouse”. As soon as the clubhouse opened and this song was on youtube … well, i had to watch the video several times and began to smile. You two beautiful young ladies, beautiful voices and a really fun song. Sincerely, this was the best medicine for me personally after being so depressed of re-living a very bad day. You two quite literally brought me out of a depressed mood and gave me a smile and a happy heart. Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us and making the world a better place.

  37. What a fun song, a song that chases away troubles that might be lurking in one’s mind. As usual, another surprise with Lisa on the harmonica – I wonder what you’ll come up with next?

Two great smiles say that you really enjoy doing these – I hope so, because I love the Duo Sessions!

  38. It takes a lot of air, eh Lisa? That was great!! Mona the Fireglo and lead, really, really awesome! As always you
nailed it with one of my favorite songs. You guys really made
my day!!!!!!!!! It makes me laugh to see you laugh!! Really good session!!! Congrats!!! Stay Groovy!!!!

  39. This is one of my all time favourite Beatles songs & Mona & Lisa have nailed it, I wouldn’t expect anything less with the talent these girls possess, fabulous harmonies & musicianship as always take a bow ladies this is awesome. ✌️❤️❤️

  40. This is one of my all time favourite Beatles songs and this is stunning absolutely nailed by Mona & Lisa, with the amount of talent these girls possess I would,nt expect anything less, the vocal harmonies are wonderful & sublime musicianship as always, FAB ✌️❤️❤️

  41. Just love your duo sessions. As always, another quality rendition played with your usual flare and musicality. Great to see Mona on lead, backed by sublime harmonica from Lisa.

  42. Thanks for posting another song guys.
It was great to see a reversal of the usual roles.
Great saves at 0.52 and 2.09 Mona 🙂

    1. Hi Darryl….I noticed the 2:09 save when I first watched the vid….when I read your comment I went back 3 times with stop watch and my eyes didn’t see anything out of ordinary with the 0:52 but that one at 2:09 looked like Mona was just momentarily mesmerized and Yes a great save….I love these girls… so talented.

      1. I see the one at 2:09, but I don’t know if the one at :52 counts.
I would love to hear Mona do her best Peewee Herman voice and say, “I meant to do that, hmph.”

        JP

  43. Without reading anybody else’s comments “What the hell Just Happened “…LoL…Lisa on the harmonica and Mona picking out the lead notes…you should have swapped hair color and seating arrangement and just completely fooled us….I loved it ..it just shows the versatility of your talent….we’ve all seen Mona pick out the notes on occasion but I’ve never seen Lisa with the harmonica….my favorite Beatle songs are 1-Please Please Me. 2-Hello Goodbye. 3-I Should Have Known Better…..I’ve been waiting for this song because ever since the Duo Sessions started I thought this would be a perfect fit…Thank You for this song as it brings back many memories…when I was a teenager in the 60s us kids would go to Green Lake State Park…just east of Syracuse NY…the bass player and drummer never came but Felipe our lead singer and (little) John of Little John and The Paragons and myself would go to the nice sandy beach and the girls in those wonderful bikinis would gather round and swoon over the very handsome and beautiful voice of Felipe….John would get some attention as he also was a singer while I was NOT a singer and a very poor musician on lead guitar I never got any attention…although there was one time I caught a girl looking at me …she winked…she must have had something in her eye…LOL….I Should Have Known Better was one of the songs we would always play at the beach….THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES ❤️????

  44. This is probably my favorite Beatles song and this cover gave me goose bumps. It was so good! I can’t get enough of your beautiful harmonies, just hope you two keep on keeping on for many more years. Still hard to believe I stumbled across a “band” that makes me so happy to listen to as during my days of youth back then. You’re a blessing to my life. Thank you!

  45. Wow. If performances like this don’t cheer you up or just make you feel good about life (despite everything) then I don’t know what will.

It is not just their talent (immeasurable) but their persona and charisma plus the sparkle of eyes and smiles. From time to time I have a week or so off from watching or listening to MLT so that I keep in touch with the real world. Each time I come back to something like this the thrill is nearly always the same. In this instance it was greater. Thank you MLT

  46. Love this so much, It took me back to the magic of “A Hard Day’s Night” the movie.
Which btw needs to be remade. Do you ladies want to make a movie?

  47. I have been looking forward to Fridays ever since I joined this club! This week has another perfect cover of the Beatles. You both are having so much fun playing this. Great job girls!!!

  48. No matter what you two seem to be doing you always have so much fun. Nothing like enjoying life and all that’s around you. I envy you ❤

  49. Wow! Just wow! As many others have said, I wouldn’t have believed it if you told me who was playing what if there weren’t video to prove it. Totally had my brain flummoxed watching it. They are as versatile as Jethro Tull. What a great way to start my day! It’s too bad I’m 8 hours behind them. I always wake up to these and think, “Wow! I could have been listening to this for the last 8 hours and all I was doing was something stupid like sleeping!” LOL.

Also, it seems like maybe the debut of Politician on YouTube has added many new club members to the ranks?

  50. Talk about some energizing, upbeat, fun music! Definitely much needed and gratefully received by this old boy on a sunny Friday! Very well done!

  51. I’ve been waiting for you to do this song. Probably the best Beatle’s for group sing-a-longs. It’s a favorite of ours on football bus trips, with beverages. Mona taking the lead and and Lisa cutting loose on Harmonica. It doesn’t get any “better”.

  52. VERY groovy, ladies! And very fun to see Lisa playing rhythm guitar while Mona takes a turn on lead, especially on the Ric 12 string! VERY groovy! I can hardly wait until the next Duo Sessions becomes available!!! And here’s something I was thinking of this morning, maybe you girls could do a version of Bad Boy, also a very groovy, upbeat little song which I personally think would suit your voices well!

  53. I was listening to this song(Beatles Channel on SiriusXM) on my ride home form work this morning, and thinking how cool it would be for you to cover it
.And what to my great suprise do I see when I login to The MLT Clubhouse?
Definetly one of the best versions I have ever heard, although,in my head, I pictured Mona playing the harmonica(great job Lisa),and Lisa playing the Rickenbacker(great job Mona).
Just seeing those smiling faces, and the obvious joy in playing it,made my weekend get off to a Groovy start.

Love and Hugs to Team MLT????????????

  54. Perfect! This is my 2nd favorite Beatles song behind I Feel Fine. The harmonies were great, Lisa on the harmonica and Mona on lead was great. The energy and joy you had while playing it is infectious . Are those Beatle boots Mona is wearing? I am glad that I was one of the first to view what will be seen over a million times. Although will probably account for 100,000 views by myself. Any song off this album is a great one. Thank you Mona and Lisa.

  55. Whouohu, I …..
WOW!! The only thing I love more than a MonaLisa Original is a New MonaLisa Duo Session, and I am totally blown out of the Universe by this cover. You just put me in such a good, happy place with that bright, energetic performance. Awesome, Awesome job!!
You switched things up on us with Lisa playing Harmonica and Mona playing the lead on her Ricky. Great job by both of you and you both look stunningly gorgeous!! Fantastic Video!!

  56. Ah yes such a great tune to play on a Friday Afternoon and a great way to end the week! The harmonies are spot on and bravo ladies for the switch up of parts. Did not know Lisa can play the harmonica and Mona wow what a great job on the lead, George Harrison is smiling right now! Again Lisa did a great job on the harmonica and keeping it going with out missing a beat. So as usual, I am sitting here at work swaying back and forth and I have a smile from ear to ear listening to this song and playing the air drums and my co workers look at me and laugh and now they know I am not losing my mind but grooving with the Mona Lisa Twins. LOL..My little Maddie hurt her knee and is out of action for a couple of days playing Softball and this song will help her in the healing process this weekend. Like everyone else, I know the second Duo Session album when you come around to doing that will be worth waiting for. Thank you Thank you for making our Friday special and enjoy the weekend God Bless

  57. Excellent once again young ladies. Another of my favourite early Beatles’ compositions and one of my previous cover requests. I can never forget the first time I saw their movie, “A Hard Days Night” and the train scene with this song. You have once again done another beautiful Beatles song justice and brought it back to life for us all. You seem to have had almost as much fun singing and playing as I did watching and listening.

I can now relax knowing you have now bookended my other favourite from this album, “If I Fell”. Also inspiring to see the two of you swapping lead guitar and harmonica. Another nice touch. Nothing you do is unworthy of sharing! This is a cue for some more outtakes in the future, please? ????❤️

  58. Well done twins. I’ve always liked this song and every song on the Hard Days Night album. As usual, your cover was excellent. It’s fun seeing you switch up lead and rhythm duties.

  59. So, you are most certainly the new Fab Two! Or maybe, the new Fab TwoWins. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) Such a joyful rendition and I loved the fun you were both obviously having. I also enjoyed your switching some of your usual roles. The surprise of seeing that just adds to the delight.

  60. Another interpretive masterpiece.
Ladies this is another example of why you should leave Penny Lane just as it is.
    But that’s me.
    You look great. Keep fighting.

  61. Nicely done! Love it! I love all your Beatles covers. I do not know if you have been asked this before, but would you consider covering the Dave Clark Five?

      1. Tom and Paul, yes I asked that same question a couple years ago and although they love that song, they were leaning to Because off the Abby Road album. Mona and Lisa is that correct??
        Bill ,

  62. I can’t imagine starting my weekend off any better than with another superb Duo Session!
Absolutely wonderful! The arrangement and harmonies bring me such pure enjoyment.

Your Duo Sessions just keep getting better and better. Thank you for this wonderful Beatle song and as always, “Thanks for the Memories.”

  63. I loved it!! This song has energy built into it. But Mona on lead and Lisa on blues harp and rhythm and of course your beautiful voices adds to the fun. What I like the best is the subtle glances and smiles you give each other – like “ain’t we got fun.” And Lisa’s last strum confirms it. You are the best. Stay gravy (Americanism from back in the day).

  64. Spectacular Ladies! You never cease to amaze us! If you had told me Mona would play the 12 string solo and Lisa would play the Blues Harp I would have said You’re Crazy!
The Harmonies are Spot on as usual!
Thanks Ladies for such a wonderful Treat today.
    Best Always
    Rick

  65. FABulous! I love the Duo Sessions since they’re really the closest thing we can get to a live concert now. This has always been one of my favs and y’all have more than done it justice!

  66. Whoa… Totally Frikkin OMG Fab… That was meant for you to do, … Love it, Lisa doing harmonica/blues harp too, equally a a bonafide treat… Just in Awe here… sent #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified Goosebumps up my arms, listening/watching this, Kudos, made my Friday and put a positive spin for this bittersweet wknd , as Sunday would have been my late Mom’s 86th Birthday, this helped cheered me up and looking positive into the wknd and for Sunday , especially….Thankyou ????

  67. one of my Favorite Beatles songs, A timeless Classic Pop song. very nice, thank you for sharing. switching it up on lead and harmonica. your talent never ceases to amaze!

  68. Wow.. Another lovely Duo Session… and what a pleasant surprise to see Lisa playing the blues harp., and Mona as lead guitar, you guys are getting better and you look beautiful too..I love it..thanks dear girls..Stay groovy.

  69. Wow wow wow girls you have knocked out with this. It is superb great vocals from Mona and Mona onnlead guitar what more want. Well done girls I love it

  70. I think 1964 is my favorite Beatle year–not musically, perhaps, but it seemed like they were still having fun, the stress hadn’t accumulated to the point it would in ’65 and ’66, and there’s a sense of limitless possibilities. The A Hard Day’s Night songs reflect that feeling, and so does this cover.

  71. The coolest thing about this cover is that it’s in the same key as the original, so you can simultaneously play the two in different windows, and it’s as if all six of them are on stage together: the MLTles! The Beatles’ version is slightly faster, but if you quickly click on the pause button every few seconds you can keep them in sync.

As with MLT’s treatment of Till There Was You, the addition of a harmony part that wasn’t in the original makes the performance even richer.

My first Beatles experience was watching the Hard Day’s Night film, and If I Fell and I Should Have Known Better were the two songs that sold me on the group. It’s very gratifying that MLT has finally allowed the other shoe to drop!

  72. What incredible fun! So heartwarming to see you both enjoying yourselves, each other, and a great tune so much! Lisa is a ball of energy on blues harp, and Mona’s wonderfully unique lead Ricky is sublime! The joy bursting forth from you both reminds me a bit of your “Pretty Flamingo” video. Your ‘whouohus’ could melt a heart of stone! THANK YOU for this gift! ????????????‍????????????️????‍????????

  73. OMG! TGIF! MLTATB! (Mona Lisa Twins are the best!) This song is so fun to play because the beat really is in the guitars, and then add to the drive with the blues harp. Of course the melody is great but the jump to falsetto is too high for me – so fun to hear how easy it is for my favorite girls. Mona and Lisa’s version of If I Fell is so beautiful it makes me pray for a whole Hard Day’s Night cover album after hearing this Duo Session. I think next I’d hope for I’m Happy Just to Dance With You… !Getting close to a duo edition of Duo Sessions… Thanks for a wonderfully joyous start to the weekend!

  74. TGIF!
This has a very spontaneous vibe. It feels like you just sat down and one-two go. You two are amazing. Lisa did great with the blues harp and Mona’s right on with her Ricky. I love all the smiles and laughs throughout the song.

These Duo Sessions are real treasures. One of the best advantages of being in this kool club. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

    JP

  75. OMG, is that Lisa on the harmonica? Love it! So awesome to see you both mix it up like that in your music. Mona did the bass not too long ago. It’s impressive to see you both pick up new instruments and bang it out on a song so wonderfully. This is such a fun Beatles song, I couldn’t stop smiling in joy hearing you play!

So glad to hear you got to get away on a road trip and enjoy the lasting summer weather. You all certainly earned it in spades from all the new music and videos. Thank you so much for this little slice of heavenly musical joy! 🙂

  76. I love Fridays!!! You never cease to amaze me. Loved how you switched things up a bit with Lisa on the harmonica and Mona playing the lead guitar. I refuse to believe that I will never see you play live.
