  1. Hi MonaLisa, always great fun to see you answearing the questions, about Ringo I saw him with The All Starr Band on september 26 at Place Bell in Mpntreal great show, Ringo was in great shape and he looks so young . I love to see him playing drums. And the others were very good too like Edgar Winter, the singer of Toto etc. Tres bon concert de Ringo. Merci.

  2. Was it really too many questions to include in the previous video, or was it that Lisa was too famished to go on?

  3. Hi Lisa and Mona (maybe only time I’ll use that order – I don’t think the LisaMona Twins flows nearly as well)…
You both seemed so relaxed and happy in these videos; maybe the new album coming to completion? Anytime I get to see my beautiful favorites to learn more about how cool they are inside and out is fabulous time.
I would still love you both no matter how you looked, but having been looking at super lovely Lisa on the calendar this past month, I much prefer without the elastic. The elastic trick was an excellent way to show off your amazing fingers, by the way…
Thanks so much for sharing your lives with us!

  4. Hi Lisa, Hi Mona,

Thanks for showing us a kalimba. I love these little details that you include in your songs. Thanks for answering everyone’s questions in such a personal way.

Mona, if it wasn’t for caller i.d., my mother would not know whether it was my brother or me calling. We have similar voices. We used to have fun with that.

Michaela’s reaction to Ringo was funny. I met Todd Rundgren years ago before a show. He is not as tall as I thought he would be. It was weird.

    Marlo & JP

funny story, at least Marlo thought it was funny
Last night I was sitting outside in my car port with my iPad on my lap. I had earbuds in, so outside noises were muffled, but I sensed some motion in front of me. As lay down my iPad I was surprised by a skunk sitting at my feet. It was close enough that it brushed my leg as I leaped over it to run out the door. This is actually the third time I have seen it in our carport, but this was the closest. If it happens again I am trying to convince myself to relax and take a picture. Although I am just not sure if it would be worth the risk of being sprayed.
(I swear I jumped at least six feet in the air)

    1. Hey, JP! I’ve got a mom and baby skunk living under my deck. I put grape jelly out for orioles and robins and if I forget to bring it in, the skunks clean it up each night! Also can’t keep the deer away from my hostas. Guess I need a different brand of deer repellent. Keep rockin’ buddy!

  5. I really hope you never get tired of doing all the things you do for the MLT Club. I know its time consuming but for us, its so very special. Sincerely thank you for sharing your lives with us!! I always learn something interesting about you two and that alone makes the Club a special place to be.

  6. It makes sense that Lisa was saying “marimba” when she meant the “kalimba.” The marimba is much like the xylophone so was probably another instrument they considered before settling on the kalimba, aka the “thumb piano.” The kalimba does indeed come from Africa, along with the banjo, mentioned later in the Q and A.

  7. Back in the day, everyone had to have a favorite Beatle because, well, all the kids insisted. So now I ask myself, “Who is my favorite twin?” But it’s like “What’s my favorite MLT original?” Every day it changes. Last week, my favorite was Mona for using the phrase “Holy Moly!” Today it has to be Lisa for showing how to wear a rubber band. But in truth, they’re just both so adorable there’s no way to put one above the other.

  8. I think we all still love Lisa with a rubber band on her nose, but it’s obvious that Mona loves her even more – what a special bond the two of you have, even for twins!

  9. I absolutely love Lisa’s jazz guitar riffs on “In It For Love”, but shame on you both for not coming up with tons of things you are especially proud of from all your recordings! Too many to mention but really, your original ideas and arrangements and lyrics and killer instrumental performances are abundant throughout your work. You really are too modest! But, that’s one of the many reasons we love you so much. Thanks for another fun packed video and thanks again for being you.

  10. I really enjoy the Q & A videos! It really brightens up our Fridays’ to see you both! I really appreciate the time you take for your fans. I don’t know of anyone else that does so much for the public. It just goes to show what beautiful souls you both are! Have a great weekend, we all look forward to seeing you next week.

  11. Another ton-o-fun Q&A! I still don’t know which particular Wagner (funny to hear Lisa use the americanized pronunciation even tho I was thinking Vahgner when I wrote the Q) to thank for “Maxwell’s”, but that’s appropriate considering how your music, club and way of life wouldn’t be possible without huge contributions from all 4 of you! I thoroughly enjoyed the news clip at Ringo’s Austria gig, and it was cool to see your old original kalimba and hear that you use them on occasion. You may not realize you both glowed even more when you recalled your Australian friend Donna who gave you the awesome Abbey Road artwork. Ah, memories!

  12. I really appreciate the Ask MLT sessions. We get to see you guys as regular folks. I think that’s why we’uns luv you so much. You guys are naturally funny. Luv’d the rubber band tricks especially the face one. I too luv the jazz licks you put into some of your songs. Reminds me of some of my old jazz records (78rpms). Check out the Cowsill’s “Rain the Park and other Things” or “Indian Lake” really fun songs. Stay groovy.Peace be.

  13. Love your inspiration answers! I can see Lisa (in a rare moment of creative block), simply going out for a nature walk, clearing her mind, and the idea for a guitar solo emerges. Not to mention those difficult bridges to songs. Lisa would be singing the song to herself, trying different bridge formations, and the perfect bridge emerges!

As for Mona, words inspire words. Reading is a great way to stimulate the creative process. Also listening to words via radio and television work well. I can see Mona reading a book, processing an idea (which in many cases, can be totally different to what is being read), and a wonderful verse would be created in her mind…write it down!

And what if, through “twins magic”, the bridge would be created simultaneously when Lisa was doing the melody out in nature and Mona was writing the verse in the living room!

For me, it always was “words inspiring words”. When I was working on my Ph.D. dissertation, I would listen to The Fan 590 Sports Radio in Toronto whenever I was in the writing process. There also were instances in which I would get ideas while watching baseball at the stadium or watching hockey at the arena. Always had to remember to have a pen and a small writing tablet handy.

Mona and Lisa (or Lisa and Mona, lol) thank you for answering these questions, especially during this very busy period in your lives!

  14. Thankyou for Episode 4 of the Q&A videos for ” ASK The MLT “, Again, awesome Q s asked, loved your replies and was happy the ” Kalimba” instrument was mentioned as I happen to own 2 , one round one and a rectangle on, love the sound they make … thoroughly was fascinated, educated, enjoyed what was said, asked and what I learned and the extra tidbits you add for us to see, know ….. Kudos and again, much appreciated and immensely keen on what I heard/saw here today, Thankyou ????????

  15. Great job Ladies! I always enjoy the Q & A’s. It’s a bonus anytime we see a clip of young Mona and Lisa or Baby Mona and Lisa.
The fun facts are my favorite part, Lisa’s rubber band trick was really cool but the dad in me freaked out when she stretched it around her eyes????!
The “names question “ is one of those things I always wondered. Now I know.
I love the Maxwells Silver Hammer video, you both are GORGEOUS in it.
Now I need to think up some new questions.

  16. I think the rubber band under the nose thing could become the next TikTok sensation: “The rubber band challenge”.

  17. Whether it’s your music, or just a wonderful moment watching a video from you both, it’s amazing the affect you have in brightening my world. The clouds part and rays of sunshine and beauty descend. Loved seeing the clip of you both and Michaela at the Ringo event, and Lisa’s rubber band tricks, such dexterity with your fingers! So cool. So interesting to hear about what inspires you and gets your creative juices flowing, beauty of nature, or others creativity inspiring you to inject more beauty into this world! Also really interesting about your early fascination with music theory, and just like the Beatles you certainly don’t have to be able to read or write music notation to create masterpieces in music. Thanks so much as always for this fun Q and A, enjoyed it so much. Have a wonderful weekend!

  18. These question/answer videos are always great fun and who knew Lisa could do elastic band magic tricks! Maybe one of her guitar finger exercises? Also loved the Ringo video where Mona calls him super! Hope you showed it to Michaela. Have a happy week.

  19. Hello Ladies,
As always such a fun time watching you all answer questions. Thanks for answering my question. I guess everyone practices differently. Which makes it unique.
It was fun seeing Little Mona And Lisa and a very young Michaela.
Lisa, the rubber thingy you referred to is called a Rubber Band.
I wonder if you’ve had to make a quick fix to an instrument as you’re going on stage?
    I love the theme for your next Q&A ???? ???? ❤️

  20. Mona and Lisa!! Wow such a great video with super questions! Wow and the way you both answer is so refreshing to us. Your humor and honesty is a gem. That sometimes is lost with celebrities’ today, they tend to be way to crazy when answering any questions with the media. I also was wondering about reading music, I hear Paul McCartney does not read music. I sing in our church choir and can read a little bit but mostly play by ear to be honest. Seeing you both and hearing you both talk and laugh is so nice to enjoy. Oh and Maddie loved the answers you gave on what animals you both like. Thanks so much she really enjoyed hearing her name…LOL…Like I mentioned in the past, no other group or act or famous people ( to me your famous ) does not do what you both to for us club members, you make us feel like family. I do have another question for the next time that I will submit. But my Friday is off to a great start and can’t wait till next weeks video. Have a great weekend and relax and enjoy.
Love and hugs from Bill and Maddie Isenberg Huge Fans From Pittsburgh PA USA

  21. Well, I don’t have time to watch before I go to work, but I can’t wait to get home and find out who that is sitting next to Mona wearing Lisa’s clothes!
