It’s been a while …

… since we filmed an “Ask the MLT” Q&A video so the questions have been piling up! We got through as many as we could today but still have a lot to cover, so if we didn’t get to your question yet, there is a big chance it will get answered in the next episode. And of course you can keep submitting them here. 🙂

It’s always fun to film these videos, and we hope you enjoyed watching today’s episode!

Stay groovy!

  1. Love the peanut butter cups section – hilarious (along with the alien story and Lisa’s laughing at Mona’s beauty)! I didn’t actually know that they existed, so have googled them and found that there are sold in the UK. I will have to go and buy some at my next trip to the supermarket,

BTW, I reckon that you two could also go into comedy if you wanted (and had the spare time)!!

      1. 😁

Well, David, I thought that it was about time to move on from years of American fast food (McDs, Burger King, KFC, etc.) to American junk food, and I think that I’ve made the transition quite smoothly 😉.

I personally blame Mona and Lisa for setting me on this path to total decadence 😉. If only I had some willpower though…

      2. Great to hear, Paul! Next on the menu: Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls. You can actually feel the cholesterol entering your bloodstream.

      3. We already have something smiliar here in the UK, David. They’re called mini rolls. Haven’t had any of those for a while, but it looks like you’ve just put the idea into my head. I can see the pounds going on as I’m writing this…

  2. I loved that alien story. I wish I would have thought of that back in high school. You should put out a book on your stories.

  3. Like many of the comments I’ve read, I agree that Lisa’s spontaneous belly laugh in response to the “pretty sister” question was priceless! I’m glad Mona didn’t take it as a personal affront to her looks, but instead earnestly added that she does indeed compliment Lisa “when I think you look pretty” or something to that effect. 😂 You two share such a special sibling dynamic, maybe because of your twinness, but not necessarily just because you’re twins. For reasons I can’t pinpoint, I honestly could count on one hand the times I’ve complimented my own sister on her physical appearance over the years and vice/versa. We love each other, for sure, but the sentiments don’t easily flow verbally. 🤔 Thanks again ladies for another awesomely fun video, and great questions, clubbers!

  4. Mona and Lisa, in that story about how you both led one of your school class mates believe you were both aliens, it just reminded me of a time when I was in Kindergarten, I had a friend, and I made up this story about how my dad and older brother were Batman and Robin! My dad had this big black and white 1956 Buick Roadmaster with the big fins on the back that in a 6 years olds imagination could pass as the Batmobile. So I told my friend my dad and brother were the Dynamic Duo, and my dad’s car was the Batmobile! My friend I think believed me for a few weeks. HAHAHA. I haven’t thought about that for ages, your story reminded me of that. Oh how our imaginations and pretending can run wild when we are kids.. Thanks for bringing back that memory! 👍😊

    1. I love that story of grand deception, Jung! When I was 4 a friend from down the block came by almost daily to play. That usually was perfectly fine, but one particular day my sister and I were engaged in a heated game of “Ting-a-Ling Bingo” or something similar when he strolled up our walk to our door. Sis stated “I’ll handle this” and went to the door. She informed him that I wasn’t home, to which he replied he’d seen me thru the window. Already a master of deceit at age 13, she told him he actually saw my twin brother George and I was indeed not there! He accepted this as fact and sulked home crestfallen. We didn’t understand why he didn’t ask if George could play instead, but to this day we get a chuckle when my fictitious brother George comes to mind!

      1. Hi Jeff

HAHAHA! That is funny, you have a clever and imaginative sister. If I was your friend, I would have shown up later and asked to play with George and Jeff! I never heard of “Ting-a-Ling Bingo”, sounded like fun though. I remember we use to play Tag, Hide-And Seek, Kick The Can, I-Spy, and 7-Up in school. My favourite game when I was in Kindergarten was “Little Red Riding Hood” or something like that. We played in the big school yard and all the kids would ask the teacher questions about Red Riding Hood, and then suddenly she would yell wolf and chase us kids and we would run, it was so fun. I was laughing so much I couldn’t really run. Thanks for sharing your story about George! 🙂

      2. Hi, Jung! I fondly remember the first four games you mentioned but never heard of 7-up or LRRH. Regional issue, I’m sure. T-a-L Bingo was a game with bingo cards featuring animated animal pictures and a spinning wheel that made the ting-a-ling sound geared toward preschoolers. I played it alone a lot, since my sister Jenny is nine years my senior and had teenage friends to occupy most of her time. I’ve no doubt I was a constant pest when she’d rather have been alone with friends her age.

      3. Hi Jeff. My older brother is 8 years older, and I think I was often a pest to him too, but his friends were so cool and seemed to like me a lot when I would show up, until they had enough of me and took off. He had a great vinyl collection too, I benefited from a lot.

  5. I love Lisa’s laugh. If she laughed in the middle of Yoga class, while people were meditating, it would go over like a car crash, too funny. Your Hotel California cover amazes me and always will, like everything you do. Another thing, these twins don’t cheat they practice.

  6. Lisa’s laugh at the 10:35 mark kills me! LOL! I love this video! You girls really make my day! The dog eating insert also cracked me up!

  7. You two are hilarious! These Q&A’s are always fun. We loved the yoga cat.
My handwriting is the worst. I am always impressed when someone has that kool handwriting , like old people, Lisa? Come to think of it my Mom has lovely handwriting.

Holy crap, you let the cat out of the bag. We are filled with anticipation thinking about your rendition of “Everybody’s Talkin”. Hmmm?

    Marlo & JP

  8. Vielen Dank für das Video. Mein Problem ist immer noch, dass ich die Fragen verstehe, aber viele Antworten nicht, da zu scnnell gesprochen wird. Meine Frage nach Untertiteln war leider nicht dabei.

  9. I’m hoping a future Duo Session will be the Beatles song “I Will”. I loved how you did it during the Christmas Livestream with Mona singing the lead. I too like Reese’s peanut butter cups. I buy them to give out on Halloween. I buy enough so there are plenty left over.

    1. Yes Tim, I learned to buy candy to give out on Halloween that I like. That way I can enjoy the leftovers and not get stuck with candy I do not enjoy lol.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Kit Kats are my favorites.
Do you all know that the original name of the Peanut Butter Cups was “Penny Cups”, cause they cost one cent each haha.
      Take care.
      Bobby S.

      1. Before Reeses we had Mallo-cups. They had point cards in the packs you could save and send them in for prizes.

  10. Hiya.. Hoppy/Happy Easter Wknd… ( Lol… the Wknd when my last name is meaningful…lol… 🐇🐰 ) …

Enjoyed thoroughly this round of Q&A video, and Thankyou for having answered my Pet Peeve Q I had submitted…I loved your answers for it ….
I also thought the other Q submissions & your answers to them were excellent , and enjoyed your fun trivia/fact stuff at the last …. Enlightening, Entertaining, made my holiday wknd 🤘🏻🪻🐣🍫

  11. I really enjoyed this! Of course I was really into the conversation on the Tele, and of course the video/recording compiling and editing too*. I’ve never owned or played a Gretsch, or a Rickenbacker either. Would love a “Rick” of my own, even though I’m pretty much a PRS fan in the electric world. Almost picked up a Tele a couple years ago but it fell through. I played a really sweet S2 McCarty a few weeks back that is to die for! That will be next in my family. So I always have that incurable G.A.S. thing going…
*Something I want/need to delve into in the future: I want to do some recording and be able to do some small You Tube vids of some songs I cover. Mostly acoustic right now, but I’m always working on something extra. And I dig the older stuff, mostly 70’s and 80’s rock based tunes. David Gilmour is my guitar hero, so smooth and expressive! Your cover of Wish You Were Here really inspired me, but it’s a long term work in progress.

  12. You did a pretty good job of slipping the “dates” part of the social question – if you get tired of music you could go into politics. I have seen only one picture of a Twin with a guy and that was of Lisa in a mud race from years ago. I have Googled the Twins and found the same thing – nothing I didn’t already know and some stuff that was wrong. You appear have done a better job on the Wagner family privacy protection than many have. I once commented that I thought the Twins were perhaps too open with their private lives – I withdraw the comment.

I quit using cursive and started printing in college. One night I was cramming for a test and looked at my cursive written notes and could not read them. No more cursive for me. I can write with either hand, but my signature is so bad that my right and left hand versions are equally bad. I do use short printed notes a lot, but otherwise it’s typed on my computer.

I have noticed that your English/Austrian accents come through when you sing your own songs (as in Why), but even then your singing accents are different than your spoken ones. An interesting side note from the University of Iowa is that music uses the right side of the brain while language uses the left. I think both sides of mine are wired funny.

These sessions are always fun – looking forward to the next session.

    1. I agree Dennis that the Twins do a good job at keeping the private parts of their life secret while doing a great job of sharing their personal and professional activities.

I too was taught cursive writing in school and was told on many occasions that I had really nice handwriting. However, after 20+ years recording thousands of pages of handwritten figures and equations in my early career as a hardwood lumber, Dry Kiln Operator and then working 12 years at the local military base where I swear my job was 25% physical work and 75% paperwork. (as most government jobs are). I developed carpal tunnel in my wrist and now on the rare occasions that I have to use cursive writing it is pretty much scribbling.

As far as their ability to easily sing in a different accent, especially country music, it may also be part hereditary. I believe most of the American pioneers that settled in the Appalachians, (the so called birthplace of country music) were immigrants from the mountainous areas of Europe. It seems most immigrants tend to settle in areas that are similar to their native environment. My area being German, Norwegian, and Swedish that make sausage and cheese and drink a lot of beer. Lol. So, It may be partly natural ability passed through their ancestry. Whatever causes it, it’s a beautiful thing. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents worth. Ok more like a nickels worth. Have a great Easter weekend.

    2. Hi Dennis,
First let me say that I Love the Twin’s accents. I hear it even in the cover songs. I mostly hear it with words that have the letters “ar” in them – such as “car” and “heart”.
But its okay – it sounds fine. I think it is great.
      Cheers,
      Bobby S.

  13. Thank you for answering our questions. Like David Yeargin stated I also sometimes regreate the question I have submitted, but you always answer it like it is a normal question; thanks. Please make a video about “the studio”, the instruments, the hard work behind the computer etc. ; a “behind” the “behind scenes”.

  14. Another funny ROTFL video! So much fun!! Thank you for being so open and willing to show yourselves spontaneously as you are. Funny, talented and gorgeous. It’s a treat for us.
If Mona and Lisa walk into a guitar store and start playing Stairway to Heaven, would they be banned from the store?
The color scheme of this video is so cheerful and uplifting, and groovy colorful 60’s. I love it. Lisa’s shirt says “Do not adjust your set
It is so heart warming to see how much the twins love each other, they are lucky and blessed to have that.
    Thank you!,
… I’m still laughing with these alien twins!

  15. Thanks M&L for another fun video, the perfect way to end the work week. And of course thanks for graciously answering some of my questions. What you say about the accents makes sense now that I think of it. When I’m around the house singing to my cat, I find I tend to mimic the intonation of whoever’s song I’m singing.

Another great color palette at work in today’s video, very Spring-like after the sepia tones of the Sound of Music analysis. I like the subtle gradient across the background. You two always impress.

  16. Ahhh! Aliens!!! That explains a lot about your “out-of-this-world” amazing talents!
So, do you actually know Janitor Joe? Are you close friends with Starman?
What planet are you really from, and are all of the other beings there as talented and beautiful as the two of you? Curious minds want to know!

    1. Stephen, yes it all makes sense now! That little green alien in Nothing Is In Vain video, and various cameo appearances like the Make Show behind the scenes video, in the WHY? album cover….

      1. Sorry, Stephen, but I’ve taken an oath of confidentiality. All I can tell you is that the Monalisians all have otherworldly levels of musical talent, and they would prefer to send emissaries throughout the galaxy rather than become a Mecca for hippie tourists.

      2. All right then, I guess I will have to stay here at home and enjoy the blessings they choose to provide to us.

  17. Greetings,
Thanks for another Q&A episode. It’s always great to learn more and more about Mona & Lisa. When I heard that you may already be married, I got a little nervous.
I never even had the chance to take either (or both) of you out yet. But of course, I would be very happy for you.
I just found out that there is a town in the state of Arizona, here in the U.S., called “Why”. Very interesting.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and Happy Easter to those who celebrate it.
    Take Care,
    Bobby S.

  18. Fun!– as always..
But what I want to know is if Lisa ever looks at Mona and says “When I was your age…”
And then tells her what she did 5 minutes ago 😉

  19. Luv the candor of your answers. I can tell by Lisa’s laughter on the question if each thinks the other is beautiful that the answers are spontaneous. For the record, your both are dolls. On the question of singing with country accents with JS. They were spot on. Brings to mind, Lisa’s east Texas accent on “Mercedes Benz. Peace be.

    1. Joe, I thought the accents were great, too. Really I was never 100% sure it wasn’t someone else on Darlin’ Companion because the accent was so good. Lisa’s answer made a lot of sense. I know if I’m singing some song I can’t help but sing it almost as an impersonation of the original. I’m no singer, but it’s a challenge for me to sing a song I know (like a Beatles tune) and not mimic John or Paul (in my very poor way, of course).

      1. I have found for the most part, anyone from Europe, etc, ( not in North America ) that has an accent when talking, when singing, it doesn’t show up, or if so, very faintly , that is 2 cents worth on this …🤘

  20. I really liked the question about the peanut butter cups.
I have a love , love relationship with peanut butter cups.
When I was in high school I bought a whole carton of them and ate them in a few hours !
I have much better self control now. Thank goodness.
    Enjoyable video again, of course!

    1. Hi Allen
Yes I too love Peanut Butter Cups and also Kit Kat bars.
I try not to buy them too often cause it’s difficult to not eat too many.
      Bobby S.

    2. Unfortunately, later in life, I almost died froma nut allergy that I wasn’t aware of until incident occured, after that, did get tested, confirmed indeed, that I have severe/fatal allergy to pistachios, etc, severe with walnuts…. which now in hindsight, explains why, as a kid was never fussy with peanut butter cookies, sandwiches or anything peanut butter related or Reese cups, I’d eat the chocolate part of cup, then maybe a bit of tye PB but would throw away rest of it….. bottom line, No Nuts of any kind for me

    3. But I can/ enjoy, love eating Kit Kat /Aero bars but must made in Canada and have ” Made in a Peanut / Nut Free facility ” guarantee on pkging, yes, it must be guaranteed /dedicated Nut Free, hence why I’m careful when grocery shopping, rarely eat out now…I’m also sensitive/some other mild food allergies so, it’s not easy nor fun to not bring able to enjoy things you once could and have to be fully aware/read All labels etc quite closely/carefully ….
Happy to say though there are a few dedicated NUT free bakeries in my city, that I can safely treat myself once in awhile too without worry …

      1. Hi Jacki
I was lucky no allergies to peanuts.
But is a very serious health concern for some.

      2. Yes it is…I developed mine I guess as I got older unfortunately, lucky I’m still here and got tested to confirm but as I say, it all makes sense now as to why as a kid, never keen much on peanut butter, nuts, sesame, sunflower seeds, fresh cut grass, etc. Cats, some dog breeds, etc…a girl I had known since Jr high died at 17 because of nut allergy at the time, that was sad she was the person that I’d ever heard about being allergic to nuts …certainly scary to experience …

  21. Wow, some great questions, and hilarious fun moments answering them, like the do you notice the pretty in each other etc… That’s kool you learned cursive in school, I wondered that too, great question JP. My cursive was always so messy, I only picked it up again in the last few years. Fun story in the end HAHAHA. Always love these Q and As. Thanks.

    1. Hi Jung,
I’ve been out of school for more than a few decades and didn’t realize they didn’t teach cursive anymore. I know mine has deteriorated from years of keyboard typing and banging up my fingers and such. I look back on old writing and I’m not sure I have the manual dexterity to form all those letters anymore.

    2. We learned cursive beginning in Grade 3; never was that great at it. Penmanship used to be a High School Business course back in the day when my Dad taught, and he took pride in his fluent, awesome writing. Even though my writing was not good, he insisted on one thing: Make sure that you have a clear, readable signature. Who is going to hire someone who cannot write their own name?

I instill that in my students today. Also, have developed a clean, grown-up signature…none of that illegible stuff. All letters of recommendation, bank documents, and come to think of it, everything else, is done that way.

Except for a signature, I began to print everything in University. Wanted to make sure that Professors knew what was being written with little strain. All part of “Academic Gamesmanship”…do everything possible to earn as many marks as one can (legally of course lol).

Thank you Dad. As always, you were right!

    3. Hi David, Christopher
It’s too bad they stopped teaching cursive in school. I dropped cursive in high school as I didn’t like how mine looked, and started printing everything through university and work, and started cursive again when I started using fountain pens in the last 10 years. It’s still a challenge, HAHAHA, but I like there are mental benefits to writing cursive, and even compared to taking up a musical instrument.

According to Dr. William Klemm, the “Memory Medic,” cursive can make children more intelligent. Practice writing by hand helps train the brain to integrate various forms of information at once, including visual and tactile inputs, while applying fine motor skills. Dr. Klemm suggests cursive can provide similar benefits to the brain as learning to play a musical instrument.

      1. I know what you mean Dennis, that’s why I dropped cursive for many decades until recently I got into a little calligraphy and fountain pens, and I’ve been trying to make my cursive a little more beautiful, work in progress.

      2. Now please understand I’m not judging or admonishing anyone, but I hear this a lot, and don’t quite understand, personally. People seem to think that writing just “is” and doesn’t require work or practice like anything else. Imagine Lisa said “my guitar playing isn’t just what I’d like it to be so I quit.”
My handwriting wasn’t what I wanted it to be, so instead of quitting I chose to work on it and improve it. But like anything else, unless one uses it all the time it starts to slip. So the key seems to be not going a year at a time without writing! (talking to myself here lol) or you have to go back to re-learning.
My philosophy toward writing (cursive, print, whatever) is that it’s a means of communicating, and if the reader (including one’s self!) can’t read it then what’s the point doing it? So I make an effort to make sure my writing is legible. Of course, I’ll never be a Benjamin Franklin with my quill. I wish! Since Jung has gotten me addicted to fountain pens again 😀 it has been improving a lot lately. I don’t quite foresee myself imposing the arduous discipline required to make beautiful calligraphy, though. Like Tomás, my everyday and journaling writing has become a sort of a hybrid, or “printsive.” lol.
I’m glad to hear that some of you are still seeing it taught in school. It was abandoned here long ago. There’s an entire generation that can’t even sign their names or write a check (yes, they are still used occasionally). Sad, really. On the other hand, keyboarding skills have never been as universally high, so I suppose there’s a silver lining 😀
Tomás, I do the same with Christmas (and even birthday) cards. I never thought about what a drag (pun intended) it would be to use a fountain pen as a lefty!

      3. Roger, happy to hear your handwriting is improving with the fountain pens. I always wish mine was better than it is, but I think it’s much better than it would have been if I hadn’t worked on it. Yesterday just for fun I tried to write with my left hand, and wow it was a struggle to just write within the ruling lines and it was barely legible. Compared to that, my handwriting is not bad and it even makes me feel grateful for what I can do with my right hand, so I’m even more encouraged to keep at it to add some beauty to my handwriting.

    4. Lately I have been trying to revive my cursive handwriting, in school that’s all we were taught back then (70’s). When I send out cards, I prefer them to be in handwriting to make them more personal.
I love fountain pens, but the problem I have being lefthanded is that it’s hard not to smudge it all up. So my cursive evolved into a semi-cursive as I have to move my hand so often.

      1. Hi Tomas
I notice in MLTs “Any Other Day” Studio Art Scribbles, it’s done in cursive, not print like all their previous hand written lyrics. It looks like Mona and Lisa have taken up cursive again too.

I find Pelikan Black or Blue ink is fast drying and recommended for left handed fountain pen users. Best inks for lefties.
It’s funny when I was taught cursive in elementary school in the early 70s, my parents handed me a BIC crystal and away I went. It was either pencil or BICs in class, but my good friend who is 8 years older than me told me stories of his elementary school days, the desks had holes cut out to hold ink wells for fountain pens and dip pens. It was like a totally different age in a matter less than 10 years.

My friend is left handed and when he uses a fountain pen he would use the “hook method” forming a hook with his left hand and wrists so as not to drag his hand over what he wrote, avoiding smudging.

      2. I remember Pelikan inks, we used to have them. Our desks had the holes for the ink wells, but they weren’t used any more by then. I remember going to the Parker factory on a school field trip (maybe around fifth grade, 1978) and they gave us all Parker fountain pens. I used that mostly through school, they had ink cartridges, that were easier to use and less messy. Using a BIC ball pen was seen as “not proper”.
Doing that left “hook” would make my wrist cramp, though I had a friend who wrote that way. My pinky finger was always blue.

    5. Sadly, from Kindergarten , all through my schooling, printing/cursive writing was a constant struggle for me due to poor hand/eye/brain coordination, etc, was partof a learning disability I guess I also had back then but it wasn’t probably properly dealt with, Acknowledgement properly like it can be addressed in today’s educational system of things…it was not something to be made fun of, and I also had to repeat a grade as one of the reasons for repeating the grade, not the entire reason, but a contributing factor… though it was either in the second round of the grade I repeated or the following grade where there were a bunch of us, every day either early in morning before school officially started or over lunch time, we were doing a Cursive Writing class, though it somewhat was successful for me, even now, sometimes my printing/cursive isn’t up to par but better than it once was, though typing stuff now, doesn’t encourage one to really be motivated to actually write anymore…lol… I try to maintain writing things for the sake of keeping that basic necessary skill alive, (especially if power were to go out , etc )

      1. Hi Jacki, as I mentioned to Roger, which ever hand you normally write with, try writing with your other hand for a while and you will start appreciating your normal handwriting, is not so bad, just keep using it and make a deliberate effort each time to write as neat as you can and it will improve. We are all probably too critical of our own handwriting. 😉

      2. Actually…I believe I started originally as a Lefty but my parents got me using my right hand as a toddler , I’m assuming because I do most things with left hand , played floor hockey/baseball/golf swinging all from left side… it seems more batural to use my left hand but I can write/barely with left but as I stated… I have an eye/brain/co-ordination issue all my life .. and ongoing eye pressure issues…unless one has/experience this …it’s hard to explain…can’t really understand/experience and it’s not just a matter of try using other hand, though, I have tried writing/printing /drawing with left hand…. looks like toddler Scribble efforts … I just wish I’d of not have/still have these issues but not to be so…. with me for life…it didn’t help that I was a 3 pound 3 ounce full term baby but apparently from what I found out in a letter to my Grandma or Aunt that my mom wrote.. I almost died after birth but survived so perhaps that explains some insight into my issues…. but those Cursive Writing lessons did improve somewhat of my writing/printing but not extremely nor fixed my issues, only helped somewhat…it’s better I type /text if I want folks to understand/read what I say ….believe me🤘🏻

      3. Hi Jacki,
Many years ago, parents/teachers/etc, would try to convert children who seem to be favoring their left hands and force them to use their right hands. It was said that this is a right-handed world and lefties are at a big disadvantage. The old-fashioned desks in school were designed for righties. If you wrote with your left hand you would get ink all over your hand. It was also believed by some to be “evil”.
One of my brothers, who is a twin to my sister (they are also 5 minutes apart – he’s older), looked like he was going to be a lefty, so they kept taking things out of his left hand and put them into his right hand. I think it made him a kind of mixed up person lol.
        Take care,
        Bobby S.

      4. Yes…my late parents & and grandparents , were of that belief , I think and though I cannot vouch for certainty , but am presuming that before I was 3 , I think I was originally to be lefty but got turned into a righty– …. although there is also some ambidextrous going on on both sides of family, but I can tell you, that I find it alot more natural and do in fact use my left hand for many things .

  22. As Tim said, the jamming with different styles would be neat to experience. Thanks for your generosity in sharing stories and details with us – these Q&As are always fun.

… I’d forgotten about Batic & Leitmayr’s ‘Lisa Wagner’ (she played a ‘profiler’).

  23. I love these Q&A videos. Always interesting, informative and very entertaining. I always learn new things about the MLT machine. Glad to hear you just sit around and jam sometimes trying new sounds and techniques and just having fun playing. Would like to be a mouse in the corner listening. Thanks for another enjoyable Friday.

  24. Great set of questions and answers as usual. Surprised the guitar did not have a “No Stairway” sticker on it! Loving the alien story, amazing how you turned out from that bit of lettuce! Also love the extra colourful outfits today, really matches the bright sunshine I’ve had all day. And to top it all, “Sound of Music” is on TV this Easter weekend!!

  25. Very entertaining as always. I was particularly drawn to the question by Thomas. I think, because I have wondered the same thing. I was Happy to hear your answer. Also, Lisa, you cracked me up while y’all were answering the question about thinking of each other as being pretty. ❤️
Looking at pictures of you when you were very young, I would bet you are identical, but I don’t really know anything about genetics.
Mona, I love that you engage in the business aspect of things. I majored in business and it was my passion for the kind of work I did. 💛
Thanks for the video and best wishes to you all. 👏👏👏👏

  26. Thank you for answering two of my questions! Even though the Business aspect of it all can be mundane, it is a necessary evil. Mona, this is where your “ability to debate” can come into play and am certain that you have grown to become an tough but fair businessperson.

Lisa, I totally agree with your assessment of the Telecaster; let’s call it a country twang. But it is so nice and easy to play. You made the Tele wail both in “If You Raise Your Head” and in “Stuck in the Middle with You”; abiet in different ways. But admit it, you have a soft spot for your Tele…after all, it is the guitar that you are with in the “WHY” promotional photo.

The Q and A sessions always are fun to watch! Spring is here (kind of)…take time to enjoy the upcoming good weather and enjoy life. It is well-deserved!

  27. Thx for another great Q&A video. Love the tie dyed background. Always go back to John Sebastian at Woodstock. I use to have several shirts to go with my groovy bell-bottom pants. Those were the days my friends! Your outfits were spectacularly colourful. I love the Telecaster though I don’t have one. I do have a G&L ASAT semi-hollow body with an F hole cut out. Looks like a Tele. Enjoy all the questions but the answers even better! Thx again and have a nice holiday weekend.

  28. Thanks for taking time out to do this Q&A. It’s fascinating to see how you react to the questions submitted and to what each other has to say. It’s so refreshing to listen to you being yourselves and not using the kind of bland PR/corporate language that we hear so often used on TV/radio by others.
Please keep doing what you’re doing!

  29. I’m with you on the chewing noises, Mona (actually, I seem to be on the same page as you with most everything). It particularly bothers me when we’re trying to watch TV and someone is chewing something crunchy!

Lisa, I am still laughing imagining you cracking up in the Yoga class. You would have me infected with laughter.

Why would you (or anyone for that matter) cover Stairway to Heaven? Just no! There are some things you just don’t touch (unless you’re the Wilson sisters 😀 )

I have to agree with Tim. You are both SO BEAUTIFUL! But the question was hilarious and we never look at ourselves (or in this case our twin) in the same way as others do.

I must say that you two being aliens shines a whole new light on “Questionable.” Perhaps there are a couple more considerations to address. LOL!!!

Thanks for all the great questions everyone! They were very good.

      1. Yes, some have, and a select few have done a great job. But the question remains: Why? Heart only did it to honor them at their ceremony, and with Jason Bonham sitting in.

      2. I would argue that even Led Zeppelin’s version is a very accomplished but highly inaccurate cover of Neil Sedaka’s original!

      3. ROFL!!! All kidding aside, I agree it would be great for MLT to cover. I think the best part would be seeing what Mona would do with the percussion! I think them doing any Sedaka song would be great, for that matter.

      4. I never would’ve thought it, but yes, a Sedaka song would be right in their wheelhouse.

      5. It didn’t occur to me until just this moment, but I think one of the main reasons I instantly fell in love with the songs from the When We’re Together album is that the harmonies reminded me of some of Sedaka’s classics circa 1961.

    1. Chris, just dive in. Whenever I pose a question I almost instantly regret it, thinking I asked the dumbest question on Earth in the dumbest possible way. But Mona and Lisa always manage to make it sound like a perfectly reasonable thing to ask.

  30. That was a great q+a. A lot of diverse information was let out of the Top Secret MLT Headquarters. Thank you for answering mine. I admire your discipline in eating the peanut butter cups, I could plow through all those in less than a week. I enjoyed learning how you record some of your videos by doing most of your parts separately as opposed together. Mona’s fun fact was hilarious!!! This is the kind of stuff I was hoping you would deliver when I posed the question.
Lisa, you need to take my daughter’s yoga class. She is a project manager for a major corporation by day, but she recently picked up her accreditation as a yoga instructor and plans to do that as her “side hustle “ and after she retires. I didn’t know you both were married. Lucky guys and I missed out on the weddings😆. If I wasn’t already married and 35 years younger…🥰.
Incidentally, I think “ wow she is really beautiful “ EVERY TIME I see either of you. Every. Single. Time.

    1. Best product plug for peanut butter cups since the days of “You got your peanut butter on my chocolate!” “Well, you got your chocolate in my peanut butter!”

It’s now going to be very hard to wait until the half-price chocolate sales on Monday.

      1. David, we always keep a bag in the freezer. I know my wife is super stressed when they start to disappear fast. Great idea to pick some up on sale next week!

  31. I love watching you two relaxing and laughing together! I was very impressed with Mona playing Stairway! Thank you for including us in your lives!

  32. That was very enjoyable. I can never think of a good question to ask, but the ones that do ask come up with great questions. Someday I’ll think of something. Love what you do.
I lost my wife in December, you girls always get a smile out of me to keep me going forward. Thanks. Appreciated more than you’ll ever know.

  33. Hello Ladies,
I always enjoy listening to your responses on Q And A. Such a variety of different questions. I laughed so hard when Mona said, “The noises Lisa’s mouth makes,” and Lisa’s mouth just dropped to the floor. 🤣 🤣 🤣
I love how you answer a question but at the same time remain coy and evasive at the same time. (There was a particular question)
Have a great weekend and thanks again.
    Best always
    Ruck Ross

  34. Mona and Lisa thank you again for another Q and A segment. I always love this segment and learn a lot and great questions form club members. I am with you on the Reeses Cups!! I put mine in the fridge and they taste better to me. Also love the fun facts you shared with us. I also have picked up my guitar and started playing again, I am a drummer at heart but love to sit and play the guitar. I just googled on how to play Tumbling Dice by the Rolling Stones and thought I would never learn that song. So I do have questions on the Why? Album that I am going to submit. Thank you and have a great weekend and Easter

    1. Best part of refrigerating the Reese’s is that you can bite off the chocolate top separately, kind of like taking apart an Oreo.

  35. Enjoyed that a bunch. Sometimes I have difficulty thinking of a question to ask. I take great care not to ask anything personal and you have been really open about my favorite musical topics, e.g., gear, songwriting. Anyway, I enjoy your videos so much and really like your music. Hope you guys are having a great weekend. Mike.

  36. Another great video, ladies. You keep amazing me with Your appearances, You both look so radiant!!
It allso was very colourfull today, I really like all those colors!
Thanks for answering all these questions. It gives you fans a little insite in Your dayly life. I allso love how you bypass the question of dating…. I think it is not something we should know off , You have to have some privacy too after all, greatings to Dad and Michaela
