Making Christmas Brownies – Part 2 – Arts & Crafts

Time to get fancy!

Well, turns out we probably overbaked the brownies a little bit. They tasted okay but were a little on the dry side. So we’ll do the same trick that all parents do when trying to make their kids eat vegetables (except that in our case vegetables = dry chocolate cake) … we made it look nice so that you will want to eat them anyway. We call it style over substance 😉

That’s it for the cooking videos. Next up we’ll share with you some home decor and gardening tips, some face-painting and knitting tutorials and wait until you’ve seen our “10 beauty hacks that will blow your mind”. Just kidding folks, no need to cancel your membership!

We’re heading to Mike Sweeney’s radio show in Radio BBC Manchester later this morning and will be live on his show at 10:30 (GMT) in case you want to tune in HERE. Don’t worry if you miss it as we will upload the interview here in a few days.

Hope everyone is having a superb Friday!

You are so funny and you have so much fun!!!! I have never made
a brownie, but it looks good. Don’t worry you are going to make it in the Music business!!!!!!!!! Stay Positive each day and just say your going to do it and you will, you guys work so hard at everything you do especially Music and above all keep having fun!!! YUM!!!!!!!! Groovy!!!!!!!! I’m hungry now.

Here is a nice little recipe for you to enjoy. Its called Nuts and Bolts. My moms recipe. Makes about 1 gallon
2 cups Cheerios
2 cups Rice Chex
2 cups Corn Chex
2 Cups Stick Pretzels
2 Cups Pecans chopped up to desired size
In sauce pan
1/4 stick of butter
1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
Melt and blend in pan
In large roasting pan lightly born butter mixture into cereal mixture
Stir and mix well.
Cook at 300 turning and mixing mix every 5 minutes for 20 minutes. Or until color suites taste.
Take out of oven and allow to cool.
Storing every so often to completely cool
Put in container with lid. Enjoy wonderful snack.

That sounds great Tennessee Ricky; a real Southern delight! I would want to know the calories, carbs, sugar, and sodium. Even then, I don’t know that I could eat an entire gallon without a 3-4 hour nap afterwards!!! 😉

Well, I’m not a chocolate, nor eggs fan, but I would taste a little bit of these brownies. You with this bowls on your heads reminded me a Brazilian comic book character, named The Nutty Boy (Menino Maluquinho). I’m sure you two are nutties too, aren’t you? In a good way, of course (if it’s possible).

The main thing that concerns me is what is in that jar. The label looks like it might say “Whole Smoked something something.” It looks like mustard, but surely that cannot be. Too runny and yucky a color for peanut butter. At 0:35 Mona drizzled it for the hair. Pray tell ladies; what is it???

Michael. It is Mona and Lisa’s secret special brownie sauce. They could tell you what it is, but then they would have to lock you away in the cupboard with the cute orange bird. Can’t have the secret leak out.

Ha ha, Jung Roe! I would be down with that if Lenore is! If the cupboard is in the Wagner House and is big enough for a King-size bed, we could live there. We could be the butler and the maid. Our pay would be meals and music. But I did not see a cute orange bird there, unless you are speaking about Lisa!

LOL. Yes Lisa is extremely cute, but I was referring to the cute orange bird that made appearances in 4 videos so far.
1..In it for Love acoustic performance
2..Two of Us acoustic performance.
3..Smoothie cooking show
4..First Brownie cooking episode. In the 2nd Brownie video, the cupboard is out of view of the camera. 🙂

Sorry Jung, I am so far behind in everything and not just here. I did not even know what the MLT Advent Calendar did until after the 1st week, so I have not seen them all. I know #3 and #4 are here, but where are the acoustic videos #1 and #2?

Your brownie adventure appears to be more about entertainment than cooking. Am I correct?
If so, then I’m perfectly alright with it. Entertainment is your forte anyway. Keep it up and we’ll keep watching and enjoying it :-).

Boy, for me that might be a tossup, buddy! But it might depend on how many brownies and who is making them. Methinks Lenore has a tad bit more experience than the Wagner Twins combined; lol! 🙂

Love it… Reindeered.. Rambunctious Reindeer Family… Santa may have to screencheck this crew for potential hiring… If they fail… Well just eat them… They’ll go down… Into stomach… And if you let that evil one loose… Grandma may be getting run over… Enjoyed Part 2…Culinary Creativity Reins ????????????✌️????????????????????????⛄☃️❄️???????????????????? Thankyou for sharing… Stay tune for more Culinary Creative Antics with MLT… Groovy????❤️

Cake A La Mode. Then it wouldn’t be Dry. It must have been good, you ate 3 slices???????? (only had 5 left) I bet Mona won’t eat the evil one???? I like Rudolphina. Love the show ladies. Thanks again for all the laughs

Well I don’t know how the cake may have tasted, but those are the cutest cake creatures (Rudolf, Rudolfino, evil brother etc) I’ve ever seen. Is there anything you ladies can’t do? Enjoyed both videos thoroughly, and thanks for the fun, and have a great weekend. Looking forward to the Mike Sweeney radio interview. 🙂

Thanks, Jung! We’ll be posting Mike Sweeney’s show in tomorrow’s Advent Calendar window so you can listen back soon 🙂 We too wish you the best of weekends.

Thanks Lisa! 🙂 With all your beautiful music, and everything you both do here, haven’t felt the Christmas spirit like this in a long time. It’s so nice. A very Merry Christmas to you, Mona and your parents.

Mona – “What happened to him when he was young that made him so angry”. Lisa – “he had a sister called Mona”. Did I hear correctly? Is this possibly the first time the Twins have sounded like ‘normal’ siblings!

Reminds me of a conversation my nieces had that I overheard. Maryn: You’ll probably spend the rest of your life in jail. Megan: Yes, and I’ll be there for killing you!

LOL! There’s also this one from the Twins. Whenever Lisa reminds Mona she is five minutes older, Mona replies, and you will die five minutes earlier!

Wonderful ladies. Thanks for sharing. It’s a pity you can’t send us a piece through the internet. Did I hear Lisa say the cake wasn’t very good? Well at least your artistic skills shone through. Where did the orange bird get to? ‘This bird has flown’, off the the ‘Norwegian Woods’ perhaps!

Howard, I think cute groupie orange bird may still be in his cupboard. Will have to catch him in a future MLT acoustic singing video, or perhaps another one of Mona or Lisa’s more recent “drifting in the snow around Liverpool 2019” videos.

I think you ar correct Jung. The bird’s cupboard nest is out of shot of the camera, above the flowers! I don’t need to worry anymore.

Last time I saw him he was conspiring with one of the muffs. I caught them printing out maps of Paris so just to be on the safe side he’s still locked up in the kitchen closet.

This keeps up and the Closet will be full by Christmas.
Speaking of Closets, I love how your refrigerator door looks like a cabinet.

Mona dear, I am still missing where to see this orange bird. Yes, please delete Paris on your “Places to Gig” list for at least a few years, eh? :-0
