Christmas Smoothie! – Arts & Crafts

Good morning everyone!

Today we’ve got something completely different prepared to start your day … a cooking video … because why not?  ๐Ÿ˜‰

We had pumpkin at home. We already had pumpkin last night and the night before but the fricking thing was so huge that we still had left-overs. And then the conversation went something like this:

“There is still so much pumpkin, what do we do with it!?”

“Put it in a smoothie.”

“You can put pumpkin in a smoothie?!”

“You can put anything in a smoothie!”

“…”

“Let’s film it.”

And here you have it, our totally improvised but surprisingly delicious Christmas themed breakfast smoothie (with a touch of Halloween and Thanksgiving). It honestly turned out tasting REALLY good so if you ever need to get rid of some pumpkin … try it!

Ingredients (makes 4 glasses)

Layer 1:

– 1 – 2 cups of cooked/steamed and cooled pumpkin
– 2 frozen bananas (maybe more … it’s debateable)
– Eyeballed amount of milk
– Cinnamon
– Nutmeg
– Ginger (or get fresh one for some extra zing)
– Some maple syrup if bananas aren’t sweet enough

Layer 2:

– Frozen cherries
– 1 apple
– 2 dried figs
– Water and then some more water

You’re welcome ;-D

Stay groovy,
Mona & Lisa

Alrighty then, I finally saw the ORANGE bird, but what species is it? I know I don’t know birds that well. It looks like a South or Central American bird to me. As far the smoothie; it looks yummy and refreshing; especially for a bitterly cold Omaha night. I best avoid Layer 2 and the maple syrup of Layer 1. Very high glycemic index that even my insulin injections would have trouble with. Thanks for inviting us guests into the Wagner family kitchen. Groove on, ladies!

You two need your own cooking show. The show could be interspersed with your live musical performances along with your latest culinary delights. I know it would be a hit! I would watch every show and try some of the recipes. Give it some consideration. ๐Ÿ™‚ Love ya!

Hi again Mona and Lisa. Just loved your first cooking video so much. It reminded me of a cooking show on Australian television a few years ago by the two Kates – Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, believe it or not. They followed that show up with a morning show called โ€˜Get Krackinโ€™. Although their shows are rated M+15 (course language, sexual references), I believe it could be a useful template for something similar from yourselves. https://www.abc.net.au/tv/programs/get-krackn/

C’mon Jerry! Branch out and live a little, buddy! Black coffee? You do have hair on your chest! Vanilla creamer for me. You wanna trade me a dozen Georgia Peach muffins for a pan of Corn(husker) Bread? I will make sure that Sweet Lenore makes and bakes it so that it will taste good!!!

I would love to taste some of your sweet wife’s corn bread! I love corn bread, but I bet what I get is nowhere near as good as what Lenore makes! All I need is real butter – can’t eat the imitation plastic butter / margarine or whatever it is. ๐Ÿ™‚

lol! Such goofs! I love every video! Love how you get in front of each other so naturally. You certainly could do infomercials and kill it. Can’t watch MLT videos without smiling or laughing. ๐Ÿ™‚
– Who’s hiding in the cupboard?

THANK YOU!

That was the most smashing, mood enhancing, energy giving cooking show I’ve ever seen! You’re both naturals at it. I could watch you gals cook all day. At first I thought that monster blender might explode smoothie all over the place. That was fun. Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

Looks yummy… Maybe I’ll have to try that… Though not a real pumpkin fan… Used to eating it from a can for pumpkin pie… But perhaps would be willing to try it in this format… Will have to tweak recipe to suit my nut/soy allergies.. I love the bananas and cherries part and the Maple Syrup ????????????… And your Purple attire????????????โค๏ธ????… Great video.. Shall we all tune in for future episodes of .. . Next Up on ” Cuisine Twins Antics”… ????โœŒ๏ธ????????????????????????????????????????????โ˜•????????????????๏ธ????

Yummy, did you make the other 2 for Michaela and Rudi? Or did you keep them to yourselves?
Video was very funny too! Blender vibrating you all over the place. HahahahahahHa

Sorry, accidentally deleted my comment which was โ€œJust wonderful ladies but Iโ€™d hardly call it cooking. Did Mona actually split that apple in half with her bare hands? Brilliant! Lisa told us she was stronger than she looks.

Next you can teach us how to knit Christmas Sweaters. That will be great fun. Then we have a Christmas Sweater pageant to decide who’s is the prettiest and who’s is the not so prettiest. So many possibilities on MLT TV.
