Well – a reuse of my introduction when I joined the MLT club a year ago (app.)
As an old (72 year) Beatles fan I was searching for new forgotten parts of Beatles material. I’ve supplied an old school mate of mine with Beatles items since our 25th school reunion in 1994 (good year for the twins too!) here around Yule. Sources are drying and that’s when I tried to look for new Beatles covers. Not that I am over joyed by the normal covers I’ve heard – but MonaLisa surprised me. They use the same tunes with their own kick to it and they do it really well, so I was hooked and ordered some cd’s on Amazon Germany as the HARD Brexit is closing in. Then I saw The MonaLisa website and ordered most of the rest. Am I still a Beatles only fan today? No – as a former choir singer in the 70’s, 80’s and part of the 90’s I appreciate people who can sing. Today most singers are cheating by using autotune. I like female voices singing, so I woke up one Saturday night in 2012, when I tried out the X-Factor 2011 in Britain after following a miserable Danish season, thinking it can’t be as bad. I saw the final first and saw an adorable female group winning the contest – and they could sing – ALL of them. I watched the whole season through that Saturday night, and I’ve been a huge fan of Little Mix ever since also the new trio -that’s why I like MonaLisa music, even if I’m an old bloke. Hope you liked my story. I have a wish to the twins for future copies of Beatles music. Please make a version of the Beatles rockers Get back and I’m down – let that be my Yule wish again this year and I hope MonaLisa get secure through this hard epidemic and have great succes – they deserve it. I’ll follow the suns (MonaLisa).
Kind regards
Leif Hoergren Mortensen, Vejle, Denmark

Hello, I’m Thomas from the state of New Jersey in the USA. I’m also an older fellow and I love that all the music which I love and grew up with is so inspiring to you. Your covers are marvelous and I really love your originals. Your freshness, energy and talent are a blessing.

Hello from Tom Fones in Northern California.
We are in lockdown again.
I am bored and starving but i’m hanging tough.
I am very late discovering these posts.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all.

Hello, i am Thomas from Duisburg in germany. I am 51 and i grew up with fantastic music from the 60/70/80’s. I have 5 sisters and 2 brothers. I am also a twin and the youngest from the 8. My twin brother is 15 minutes older. So i grew up with good music because every sister/brother listen to different style of music. Hope 2 c u sometime in concert in the near future. Greets

Hi everyone, may the Christmas Spirit be with you during these difficult and challenging days. My wife, Lorna and I live in the United States in a city called Lakewood, Colorado. We are so very impressed with the talent and music that Mona and Lisa brings us. We are happy that we are now members of the Mona Lisa Twins Club. Mona and Lisa may you enjoy all that life has to offer. Best regards,

Well as you see, Im very late getting to this introduction party. I have lived in North Carolina, on the east coast of the U.S. My first introduction to MLT was on a fishing trip in 2013… yes you heard that right. A good friend had invited me to go deep sea fishing with him when I was recovering from a serious heart surgery. We are 40 miles or 65 Km out in the Atlantic ocean and he reaches for a homemade CD and plugs it into his nice sound system. These amazing girls with the coolest accent ever, were singing some Beatles tuns, and most notably was Drive My Car. When I got home, I started watching many YT videos and fell in love with the Twins. Since then, more surgery and other bad health issues I found myself at home no longer working and spending most of my time alone watching Youtube videos sometimes all day long. I followed you guys and a female drummer every day. Through one of my most depressing times, listening to your music; and hers, helped get me through my darkest days. So just know when you smile… you make others smile too. So I decided to give back to MLT by joining the club and getting some cool merch from you guys. Now, I just hope I get to see you play live somewhere. Thank you very much for making my life better and the world a better place through your amazing talents and personalities.

Hi, I’m John from Utah. I came back from a medical treatment almost two years ago and felt like I had been run over by a fleet of trucks. I had always heard endorphins stimulated by music could help with pain so I started searching YouTube. A Beatles search led to two happy, excited young women doing a spectacular version of “Drive My Car”. I was hooked, more and more each day and each video. What incredible talent! Then I discovered they were funny, intelligent and inspiring with an amazing family. They bring joy to the lives of thousands and I love that they do that! I joined the MLT club immediately and was quite active until recently. Lately I’ve had to focus on the effects Covid has had on business and my family and haven’t been here much. Doesn’t mean I don’t love ya all. It could sound exaggerated, but honestly, I don’t know how I could have dealt with the pain and stress of the last couple years without what Jacki calls “MLT Joy”. I’m grateful for MLT and at Christmas time for what I believe is the best Christmas song ever “All I Want Christmas to Be”.

Happy Christmas! Yes I know I am late to the party. While most people just get to complain about this pandemic, I get deal with it firsthand. I work in a hospital, primarily the ICU. So when I am not working, I am physically trying to recoup some energy. Nine months of this stuff has been draining. I was in the military and lived in the UK for several years back in the 80’s. My main reason for wanting to go there was because of my family roots and some little known music group called “The Beatles.” Back before it was a thing, I had my wife of the time take a photo of me going across the famous crosswalk, and Abbey Road studios is the nicest place I have ever been asked to leave. The British are extremely polite. I play guitar and discovered these two wonderful ladies one day on YouTube when I was looking for some help on playing a Beatles song. I have been in love with them and Mona’s Red Rickenbacker ever since. (And Mona, if “Rickey” ever needs to be babysat, I will gladly make sure he gets plenty of “playtime”!)

Hllo, there! Richard Knights, here, Loooong time fan of Mona & Lisa. I am 65 years old, and live with my wife, Aletheia, in Moriarty, New Mexico. (Can’t find it? Just take a left turn at Albuqurque). I recently started the first MonaLisa Twins fan page on MeWe, and just began a job working graveyard at a busy truck stop on the interstate, helping to keep those trucks rolling.
I have four children and three grandkids, whom I can’t wait to visit again.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

Hello Everyone, I’m Graham and I live in a Wigan (approximately 20 miles from Liverpool), North West England. I am originally from the Wirral but I have lived in Wigan for most of my 57 years. My youngest Daughter lives in Aigburth, Liverpool. I’ve been following the MLTs for a couple of years on youtube and joined the MLT club about six months ago. I love all of the music and video output, especially the Duo Sessions. I’ve been trying to learn to play an electric piano but I am waiting for the time when I can arrange for a Tutor to help me as I am struggling with it! By the way Ladies, feel free to call for a cup of tea if ever you are passing.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB, Mark! Thanks for joining us ♥ If everything goes to plan, we are definitely planning on releasing our next original music on vinyl again!

Hi;

A few days late. I am Michael Rife and I live in a suburb of Boston, MA in the US. I started out in West Virginia. I started playing drums in 1965 and switched to the guitar during the singer-songwriting period of the early 1970s. Now I have a few drum kits and more than a few guitars. I have been a long term Beatles fan and found MLT on Youtube when looking up some Beatles songs and Beatles tutorials. From the minute I heard them, I was hooked. I am so impressed with their technical abilities on several instruments and harmonies. They are just so good and have shown improvement over the years. Any CD they release is a “keeper”. Mike.

Hello, my name’s Glyn Owen from Chesterfield in Derbyshire. We are the town with the Crooked Spire. The story goes that the devil was flying past Chesterfield and as he was tired decided to sit on top of the church spire and made it twist and warp. I’m 70 years old and I was introduced to the twins by someone posting “ThisBoy” to FB or something. It was fantastic, so many fresh spins on music of my teenage years.
One of your videos I love in the covers is Maxwell’s Silver Hammer with I think Mona singing. Well I listened to the Beatles original afterwards and I have to say that yours a much better version. I then read yesterday that the song the Beatles hate most is that song. The group hated it because Paul was such a pain at the recording trying for perfection.
Anyway my eldest grandson plays the electric guitar and I told him to listen to some of your guitar work. I gave him the plectrum that came with my membership to remind him.
I love your original work as well. Hey Waiter being a firm favourite. Keep at it girls.
BTW, How long are you trying to get your hair?

Greetings to Chesterfield! We played there at “The Avenue” back in 2017 with Steve Harley but unfortunately we didn’t get to see much of the city (including the Spire). We arrived and left when it was dark 🙂 But it’s great to know that one of our Club members lives there!
Thanks for the introduction. As for how long we’re trying to grow our hair … well, until I have a change of heart I’ll just let it keep growing but it’ll soon be time for me to cut Mona’s hair again.

Hi merry Christmas to you and yours, I’m Eddie from Exeter originally from Essex. Found your music on Facebook earlier this year and enjoyed what I heard. I am a Beatles fan, which drew me to you, I never thought that at 76 I would be a member of a fan club, but that’s how much I enjoy your music.
Stay safe everyone.

Merry Christmas all! I’m Jim from Phoenix Arizona and a fairly new member of the MLT Club, so this is my first time experiencing the Advent calendar this way! I am married with two boys, one of whom is married to a wonderful woman who just gave us our first granddaughter this summer. I am a system engineer for an electronics company and a part time musician who grew up in the 60s learning to play music by the Beatles and many other bands myself. This year has been a bit of a challenge, but our new grandchild and my introduction to Mona and Lisa (and all of you in the club) have given me hope for a bright year ahead!

Hello Mona & Lisa and members of the MLT Club.
My name is Tony Rea and I live in Port Stanley, Ontario, Canada which is on Lake Erie, one of our 5 “Great Lakes”. I got hooked on your music when I discovered a “YouTube’ video of “My Guitar Gently Weeps”…..WOW!!!!! and not long after joined the MLT Club.
It is much more expensive for us as one pound is around $1.37 Canadian but it is worth it and has not stopped me from buying your Duo Sessions and Live at the Cavern Club CD’s
I am 73 years young and enjoy a wide variety of music but especially the 50’s and 60’s rock & roll. I was in a band called “The Trolls” in the late 60’s playing in Oakville and around the Toronto area of Ontario. Our lead singer (Dave Diamond) went on to be the lead singer of “The Kings” and just celebrated their 40 anniversary of their big hit song “This Beat Goes On/Switchin to Glide” with an induction (with his Guitar player Mr.Zero) into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. (website:thekingsarehere.com)
I also wanted to give you a big shout out for your wonderful original music on the Orange Album and look forward to your new one. You are great writers & musicians.
Keep Safe, Keep true to your roots and Rock On!!!

What a great shot! And an even better story to accompany it. “The beat goes on” is a phrase we use quite a lot 🙂
From one musician to another, thank you for deciding to join the Club and for getting our albums ♥

Hi everyone and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I’m Micky from the mountains of North Carolina, USA. I first discovered the MonaLisa twins a few months ago and fell in love with their music and them as well. They really enjoy what they do and have a good time doing it, their talent’s are amazing they seem to be able to play any instrument they touch, and both have amazing vocals. I enjoy your videos and hope to see many more as you travel your musical journey. Lots of love and good wishes from me to you !! ♥♥

Greetings. I am Charles from the Middle of America (Columbia, Missouri) and recently I had to undergo open-heart surgery to repair a faulty valve in my heart (fixing a hole you might say). They allow you to bring cellphones to the hospital so during recovery I had your music on constantly and I think it helped the healing process. Made me think of better times we all look forward to. Oh, everything went fine and I’m well on the way to full recovery.

Oh my, we didn’t expect to read a story like this in the comments today. Wow, that is incredible. We’re so glad that the surgery went well, and to know that our music played a part in your wellbeing and recovery means more to us than you could imagine!!! Thank you for being in the Club and for taking part in the Advent Calendar ♥

So glad to hear your surgery was successful Charles! So cool to have the healing help of MLT for your recovery. Wish I had had that when I had my heart surgery 19 years ago. But, Mona and Lisa were 7 at the time, so I don’t know if their voices and musical skills were quite as inspiring as now 🙂

Hello to all the MLT Club members and of course Hello to Mona…Lisa…Papa Rudi…and Michaela….I am Rick..70 yrs young…I deliver newspapers in the middle of the night…truck driver by day…former talent coordinator for a country music association in the Dallas / Ft Worth area and country music radio DJ…..I was watching some George Harrison videos and kept getting interrupted by these pesky commercials and finally I just said okay the next one I’ll watch and it was the Vol 1 promo for the album and I thought damn how long has this been going on..then it played Drive My Car and really got my attention… my favorite Beatles song is
Please Please Me so I did a search for that and damn near had a heart attack WOW WOW WOW…I was hooked….I absolutely love what you girls do and hopefully one day you’ll actually get the band back together and come to America…believe me when you come the people here will fall in love with you…I promise and guarantee it !!

Hi Rick! Everyone sends their greetings back! Haha, we’re so glad you decided to click the “pesky commercial” and now ended up here ♥
We would LOVE to play in the States one day. At the moment anything like that seems more unlikely than ever for the nearer future, but hopefully one day!

Hello! I’m Jeff from Freeport, Illinois, U.S.A. I first discovered you and your music while browsing youtube for alternate versions of Maxwell’s Silver Hammer. Fell in love with your take on that classic after one listen/view! Been equally impressed with so many more of your covers and originals. Still consider myself a newbie to the Mona Lisa Twins, but your personalities sparkle in the youtube videos and Q&As. You truly feel like old friends already!

Hi, I’m Vittorio from Milan Italy. I discovered the monalisa twins before a really really important school exam that I had to take in another city (I even used the ORANGE pen for the exam). Your music, in particular the harmonies, can in an odd way calm just a tiny bit my constant headache that is persisting for 5 years now.
me nor my doctors were able to figure out why Sid Barrett’ music and your harmonies has this effect on my headache.
i hope that everyone will pass a nice Christmas and holiday season.

P.S. I would say thank you to Michaela that helped me a lot with a couple of orders and my cursed account

Oh wow! Hearing that makes us so happy!! Thanks for the introduction and for sharing things like the story about your headache with us. We are sorry to hear that you have it in the first place but to know that our music offers some relief is the coolest thing ever.
Much peace & love to Italy and thank you for being here!

Hello !´m Ari and I live in Kotka, FInland. Kotka locates in South coast of FInland and its port is the largest port of the country. Yes, and you all know that Father Christmas lives here in Finland so you better be nice next weeks or my countryman don´t pay a visit to your house !

Hi! My name is Richard. I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. I recently retired from UPS and one day on my lunch hour in 2013, I was searching for a video of John Mayer with Keith Urban performing the Beatle song, Don’t Let down, on the Crossroads Guitar Festival-2013, when I came across your video playing the Beatle cover song, Drive My Car. That’s when I fell in love with you guys. Your musical talent, your singing, your style and energy. Since then I’ve been a big fan. I have all of your CD’s and I love watching your videos on YouTube. I look forward for your new recordings and videos. Have a great day! Bye!

We love hearing the stories of how people came across our music. We’re glad you remembered! Thanks for sharing it and of course for being here and taking part in the advert calendar fun ♥

Season’s Greetings to you both and all the MLTers. Jim here on the Isle of Wight just off the south coast of England. I am one of the 60+ age group outside and still only just16+ inside! Always loved music, spent a lot of time with local bands over the years mainly roadying, sound, lights and general dogsbody. Discovered Mona and Lisa last year via YouTube Beatles songs and am very pleased to be part of this great group of people with Mona and Lisa’s music and messages.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Kenny Daniels. After being born in the Deep South (Oxford, MS) and spending my growing up years there, I now live in Cody, WY. I love the mountains, rivers and abundant wildlife that I see just from looking out the windows of my home. I have loved music since I was a child and have played some sort of instrument for most of my life. I accidentally found the Mona Lisa Twins the first part of this year and have been enthralled by them and their music ever since. I can’t seem to get enough of them. I love to play music and sing in my spare time and the MLT original music and their covers are my first choices these days. Merry Christmas to you all!

Hi Kenny! We just did a “Cody, WY” google and it looks absolutely stunning there. Loving the wild landscapes! We’re glad you found our music earlier this year and are now here, taking part in the advert calendar challenge:-)

Hello Everyone and this is Bill Isenberg a huge fan from Pittsburgh Pa USA AND A MLT Club member so nice to meet you all and me and my grand daughter Maddie love the Mona Lisa Twins and I am very happy to take part in the Advent Calendar. God luck to you all and lets have fun!!!

Hi, I’m Charley from Louisiana. I came across MLT one day in when I was looking for the song “Bus Stop” on Youtube, I came across the MLT version and also God Only Knows and then I was hooked! Now I carry MLT wherever I go. I’m currently in Alabama turning my grandkids into fans. My seven-year-old granddaughter has a guitar, but she says what she really wants is a drum set. Perhaps I’ll get her one for Christmas.

Haha, thanks for working on converting your grandchildren into MLT fans ???? Please tell them we said hi! All the best to you and your family and thanks for being here!

Hi and festive greetings from South Yorkshire. Thanks for all the music that you play and produce. Saw you a couple of years ago supporting Steve Harley at Chesterfield (we went for you but he was brilliant as well). Keep doing what you do and stay groovy. X

Thanks Michael! Another member just posted that he was from Chesterfield and I replied by saying that we played there with Steve Harley 🙂 Small world! Thanks for being a member and for being groovy.

Hi all, Tommy here. I joined the club as soon as it opened and it’s been such a fun ride so far! I’m a 62 year old retired New Yorker, former drummer who’s now a so so rhythm guitar player. I discovered the twins while searching Youtube for Beatles videos. It was love at first sight/listen ever since! I only wish I lived in Liverpool so I had a chance to see them live. Happy holidays to all of you!

Hi my name’s Ron I live in mickleover derby I’m retired now love you music takes me back to my younger years when then Beatles first arrived on the scene

Hi. I’m Kevin from Tamworth, Staffordshire in the UK. I’m 67 years YOUNG and a regular visitor to Beatleweek where I first saw the twins in 2014 and have been proud to follow them ever since. P.S I love the way Mona says ” challenges ” !

Hi Kevin! That’s great that you went to Beatleweek in 2014 and saw us there – it’s always such a fun week in Liverpool! Also, I’ve been mumbling the word “challenges” to myself ever since reading that comment, haha!

Greetings from Holyhead, North Wales. I first heard the twins on You Tube and instantly fell in love with their music. Their renditions of some of my favourite songs was breath taking. Hope they continue for a very long time. Have a great rest of the year, see you in 2021

Holyhead was the first place we set foot on during the trip on which we decided to move to the UK. We were backpacking through Ireland, then took the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, the train from Holyhead to Liverpool, and shortly after got the keys to our newly rented home as we spontaneously decided to never leave again 😉 We didn’t get to see much of the place though, other than the trainstation, so we’ll have to come back for a visit ! Thanks for the kind comment ❤

Greetings from Lynnwood Washington. I have lived in this suburb of Seattle for 30 years. But I was born in West Germany. I am so glad I found out about you ladies. I listen to your music at work every day. Have a safe holiday season and stay groovy!!

Hi All

I hope everyone is well. My name is Rob. I am 28 and from the UK. I have loved 50s 60s and 70s music since I was a teen and I was very lucky too come across the Twins on YouTube when watching some Beatles videos a few years ago. It was so cool to see that others around my age were also very passionate about this era of music and I really cannot wait to keep supporting them for the rest of my life as they are my sunshine. On top of the great music, you girls are also lovely people so it always warms my heart to hear from you and listen to your music.

Peace and love ✌️

Rob

Hi Rob! For us it’s always equally exciting to find people our age who are into the same music. In Liverpool everyone and their grandma knows about good 60s music and the Beatles, but it was a different story growing up back in Austria. We’re glad you found our music, thanks for coming along on the journey!  ❤

Hi, ladies. I’m an old guy from Oklahoma with guitar skills way short of what you might expect from someone who’s been at it since the Beatles played indoors. So, now some of what I do is play and very slowly write songs and wonder things like why am I doing this instead of some more useful and connected activity and why, of all the music acts available in my pocket, have I become a goofy fan of the MonaLisa Twins? No real mystery and yet, a mystery. The thing that lets me think I’m sane is knowing you have 150,000 YouTube subscribers and lots of other passionate fans and MLT Club members, so I’m not alone.

Making music is as useful as it gets – if only for your own wellbeing! You keep playing, sir! 🙂 Thanks for being a goofy fan and we’ll continue to be goofy musicians. ????

Greetings from rainy Finland. Waiting for the snow and cross country skiing season to start. I’m Robert and I live in the countryside in Asikkala, southern Finland. I’ve been watching your the Beatles covers enthusiastically. Of course, that lead to ordering not only your marvelous Beatles CDs but also everything you have put on record, including the Orange vinyl.

Greetings back from equally rainy Britain! At least your rain will turn into snow very soon, whereas it will just stay wet here ????
Ever since we performed in Finland for the first time in 2015 the country holds a soft spot in our hearts and we send lots of peace & love!

Oh, you’ve been gigging here. I wish I had known that. But I think I saw your YouTube videos for the first time a couple of years later. Maybe, when the world turns to normal again – hopefully in the near future – you’ll be on tour in the Nordic Countries.

Hi from Mike, in hospital recovering from a torn ligament on my knee.should go home today????????. I’m from Sale, near Manchester, looking forward to more advent calendar things. You are doing a GREAT job. Thank you

Oh no, get better soon, Mike! With everything going on right now hospitals must be an even more unpleasant place than usual and I hope you get to go home today!

Good morning. I’m Derek from the Perth (the original one) in Scotland, we’re about 430km from Liverpool.

This is the second Advent challenge I’m involved in this year. With four friends based in Southern England and in Australia we started an A-Z music challenge, on 30 November so we can finish on Christmas Eve. We take turns on WhatsApp to pick a song with a backstory and the other four then have 23 hours to post a song by a different band or singer. I started off B yesterday and chose And I Love Her. The other four followed with the Blow Monkeys, the Black Crowes, Bauhaus and The Beat. I think you get the idea?

One of the five uses the songs as a playlist for his basement gym, where he’s locked down at the moment somewhere in Kent.

Hi Derek, what a fun idea to stay connected with friends across the globe! By telling us this you know you’re now stuck with us for the letter “M”, right? 😉

Hi! Mona, Lisa and family. I’m Bill from Colorado, USA. I’m 71 and grew up with the Beatles. I came across you like many others while looking on you tube for covers of Beatles songs. I like to hear how others put their own slant on them. You two do a wonderful job of it. I don’t remember what song I first heard, but it was from your first concert at 13 years old and was so impressed. Then I wondered if your parents were forcing you to do this, but as I watched more video’s and you interviews, I could see that wasn’t so and I was relieved. I’ve been following you for about two years and just joined the mltclub yesterday. It’s so refreshing to see your work ethic as so many your age don’t seem to have any. Looking forward to checking out the mltclub in depth.
Stay safe.

Hello and Welcome, William! We hope you enjoyed your first day here. It’s great that you found our music through one of the really early videos! Don’t worry, I don’t think our parents could (or would!) force us to do anything 😉 We’re so lucky to have their support and teamwork in all of this ♥
Thanks for deciding to join the Club, we’ll see you around!

Greetings, I am Johhnypee. I am fifty-five and half years old and I live in New York State, a couple hours north of NYC. Johnnypee is a nickname given to me in high school. It was the eighties and we added ee to everything. McDonalds became MickeyDees, so John became johnnypee. Nowadays most people call me JP.

I have been checking out cover bands a bit these past few years, and Wish You Were Here showed up as a suggested view. So I clicked. Then I was compelled to watch it again, and again.
This is a beautiful cover of this classic song.

I started watching their other videos and could not believe what I was hearing. It’s been a while since I’ve heard a new band and clicked replay immediately. So I joined the MLT Club and ordered a couple of CD’s. Orange was a true Ah-ha moment for me. I have discovered a true classic that must be listened to from The Future to Still A Friend Of Mind. I feel the same about When We’re Together.

Membership also includes the forum where there are a lot of friendly people who like to discuss great music. Groovy.

I have spent a lot of time going through the previous Advent Calendars and I am looking forward to this one.

JP is feeling groovy in the Catskills

Hi JohnnyPee, it’s always great to read from you. We’re glad you found us through “Wish You Were Here”, a song that really means a lot to us!
I’m sure we’ll see you around a lot this Advent Calendar, thanks for taking part 🙂

Hello! I’m Cal from San Diego, California, USA. It’s good to be here. I’ve followed MLT on YouTube since hearing WMGGW on a random search. I play the piano and picked up the guitar again after many years. Mona has inspired me to take up the harmonica. I keep one in my pocket now.

Camilo!! That’s the best … hearing that you picked up the guitar again makes us SO happy! And I like that you keep a harmonica in your pocket at all times. Maybe I should start doing that, too!

Merry Christmas to all! I’m Frank, a retired pediatrician from just south of Boston Massachusetts in the US. I’ve loved Mona and Lisa and their music for years since I found their Drive My Car video. Their talent and their whole family’s talent simply has me in awe every time I see/hear them. Their Christmas album is the best holiday album I’ve ever heard, and their original All I Want Christmas To Be should be the number one Christmas song every year. Hope everyone is staying as safe and happy as possible and stays that way this Advent and Christmas season!

Hi, I’m Dennis from southern New Mexico, USA. My wife Judy and I live in a desert area, but the mountains are and trees are not far away, and the desert has its own special beauty. New Mexico is a poor state, but we think it’s a great place to live with lots of public land and not very many people. I love the outdoors, and there are lots of great places to hike or just get away here (I enjoy your outdoor adventure videos and pictures).

We are retired and, like many of you, feeling caged in by the virus. Listening to music helps it all go away.

I first encountered your music in 2015. I did a web search to find a copy of “When I’m Sixty Four” to play for the 64th birthday of a good friend of ours. I ended up downloading your version, one by Judy Collins, and of course, the original Beatles version – I liked yours the best and have been a big fan ever since. I usually listen to music (mostly yours) nightly, relaxing at wind down time.

Happy holidays to you all!

We love the outdoors too! Something we didn’t think we’d say one day (we used to dread hiking but now we can’t get enough of it). New Mexico looks amazing, we’d love to visit one day!
We’re glad (our) music is keeping you company in these weird times ♥

I’m sure your list of places to visit is long, but let us know if you ever get out this way. We’d love to meet you in person of course, and we’ll make sure you get a list of “must see” places.

Hi, and seasons greetings to all. My name is Howard and I joined the MLT club when it first opened, so this is my third Advent Calendar. It is so nice to hear from other members, in particular, so many that we don’t normally hear from.

I live in Brisbane in sunny Queensland, Australia, where it is currently 32 degrees celsius with a real feel (humidity) of 36. That’s around 97 degrees fahrenheit to most Americans. And it’s only the start of our summer.

This time of year has probably always been the best time of the year for the MLT Club, and this year it is special for other reasons too.

Another reason we have to celebrate where I am is that with Covid 19 under control in other States, our State has finally opened our borders to them. This means I am now booked in for a three week holiday in Sydney over Xmas, looking after two beautiful pet dogs.

Of course the rest of the world has other reasons to be happy as we approach 2021, a year that hopefully we can recover from what has been an annus horribiis 2020!

For those of you new to the Club, you are in for a treat with the Advent Calendar.

It is so nice to see the MLT achieving in leaps and bounds this year and things are only looking even more rewarding for them in the new year. Can we possibly expect that long awaited third originals album?

Seasons Greetings back to you! We hope you are dealing well with the heat of your summer 🙂
Thanks for joining us for yet another year!
We hope you’ll be enjoying every minute of your holiday in Sydney and please give those dogs a big squeeze from us ♥

I’m Tim Tromley. (One of those troublesome “middle name” people!) A music lover forever, I wanted a “hop” for Christmas when I was two years old. A “hop” was, of course, a record player … so named because of my favorite song at the time, “At The Hop” by Danny & the Juniors. Little did I know then, but there were some teenagers in Liverpool who would be pushing music forward by a quantum leap in just a few years! Thank you, Mona & Lisa, for bringing us your interpretations of the classics plus your own original classics!

Merry Christmas Hello And A Happy New Year! This is my 2nd Christmas in the MLT Club. My favorite little corner of the internet. The next 23 days I will be getting up at 3 am CST to read a new challenge question or task.. Looking forward to it. Have a Good Day or Night Everyone.

Hi Vince!! Thanks for joining us for another Xmas season 🙂 But please make sure to catch up on that sleep you are going to miss by getting up at 3am every night ???? ! Hope you’ll have lots of fun this month!

Greetings from Utah! I’m Bibi.
I have been fan of the MLT since July 2016. I don’t clearly remember how I found out about them, but I know the first cover I remember from them was “Two Of Us”.
After listening their originals, I started leaning guitar, which didn’t end up well, so I switched to piano.

Hi Claude! Or is it Bibi? We hope we haven’t been calling you by the wrong name all this time ☺️ ! It’s always great to hear from you. Hope your piano journey is going well!

Hi, I’m David. I was born and raised in Kentucky (USA), but have lived for most of the last 20 years in North Carolina, where I have taught classes in the physical sciences at a community college.

Growing up in the 70’s I couldn’t stand most of the contemporary music on the radio. Then in the 80’s I found the “oldies” stations, featuring hit music from the 60’s plus or minus a couple of years. I fell in love with it, and haven’t looked back (or forward) since.

I spent over three decades wondering why no one could or would write music like that anymore, and then early last year I discovered MLT on YouTube. Like most people I started with their Beatles covers, which showed they had plenty of 60’s street cred, and then when I waded tentatively into their original songs I saw they were the real deal, genuinely motivated by the spirit of those times.

I’ve long envied those who grew up in the 60’s and could look forward to wonderful new songs on the radio literally every week. Thanks to MLT I finally have a taste of that sense of anticipation of great music. I’m so looking forward to the new album next year, and to all the fun we’ll be having with the advent calendar this month!

Thank you so much, David! A lot we could relate to here ♥ We’re glad you’re looking forward to new music and the next original album so much. We can’t wait to get back to working on it and finally share it with all of you ♥
All the best to North Carolina!

Greeting from upstate NY, which is most of the state, so I’ll narrow it down to just north of the capital. I’ve been a proud but mostly quiet MLT club member for a little over a year. Just doing my small part so that Mona and Lisa can keep making beautiful things.

Thanks Stephen! It’s fun to read from some of you “silent” members 😉 I hope you know just how much we appreciate you being a member ♥
Greetings to Upstate NY!

Hi MLT,
And to all the people who have come across MLT. I’m live in Bournemouth (uk)
I came across MLT whilst Listening to ELO a Month ago on Youtube and “WOW’ what refreshing sound from the 60’s which has ignited my interest in 60′ music again.
Have MLT released a version of Downtown by Pet Clark?
Take Care Everyone 🙂

Hi Tim! Thanks for your introduction 🙂 It’s interesting that you found us through ELO as we’ve not covered one of their songs (yet?).
We have not done “Downtown” but it’s such an iconic tune! Maybe we will one day.
Greetings to Bournemouth!

Hello Tim. I was born in Bournemouth but moved away many years ago but still travel back to watch AFCB for virtually every match. Until Covid that is!

What area do you live in? We recently had to sell my mother’s house (the family home) in Branksome as she moved into a care home in Oxfordshire near to where one of my brothers lives.

Hi everyone, Hi Mona and Lisa, my name is Brad, and I’m writing from Butte, Montana. I’m in my 60’s, and just discovered the twins about two months ago. I finally got around to ordering their music after listening to many songs on YouTube and realizing that there wasn’t a single one that I didn’t love. I went ahead and just ordered the complete set of all their CDs, which I just received yesterday! I have listened to their live concert from when they were 13 so far, and it was awesome. I keep the CDs in my vehicle and play them when I’m driving. It will take me a bit longer to get through all of them, but I will enjoy them that much more!

Greetings to Montana! Thank you so much for joining the Club and for getting the whole CD set! That’s a lot of CDs by now and we hope to add a lot more in the years to come 🙂 We always enjoy reading from you, also over on YouTube!

Hi Lisa, I have commented on many of your videos on YouTube for quite a while, and I realized that everything I heard, I loved. The other thing I really admire is that you two always took time to respond to my comments. I have so far listened to your concert when you were 13, and the California EP, and Orange. I have loved all of it! Please let your dad know that I think he has a great voice too, His performance of ‘One’ was outstanding, and then on Baby Blue, he sounded like David Bowie, I can’t quite put my finger on which song, but I kept thinking as he was singing it “that sounds like Bowie on….” and I couldn’t come up with the song. My favorite of your own songs is ‘Still A Friend Of Mine.’ I listened to it and watched it dozens of times on YouTube. I still will. I was super impressed with the concert. Your family is so talented! I’m guessing that it was your mom on sax. Anyway, sorry for being so long with my response. The bottom line is that I love you two, your music, your personalities, everything about you is a joy. ????????

That’s great! We loved playing with Mike when he came to Liverpool! We meant to catch up again in the beginning of the year when he was still planning to play some more UK shows. Of course that didn’t quite work out as planned 🙂

Hello everyone I’m Philip (Phil) and I live in north London although I’m originally from Poole/Bournemouth and have arrived in London via Reading and Birmingham.

I discovered the MonaLisa Twins back in April whilst doing research for a lockdown Zoom quiz for my friends. I was thinking about doing a connections round from music and days of the week was an option. So I looked for videos of Friday on My Mind on YouTube as a good starter. Scrolling down I noticed a pretty girl with a Rick and out of interest clicked on it. Within 20 seconds my mind had been blown (mainly with joy and wonderment at the quality of everything) and spent the rest of the evening looking for their other posts, I’m still discovering them now. The quiz round hasn’t happened yet but may be included when it is next my turn to be the question master.

Wow, jaw dropping uploads for me have been When I’m 64, Maxwell’s Silver Hammer and finally Paint it Black but there have been so many others that almost reached the same plateau. Their own songs are just magical and I’m collection their cds one by one.

As many people have commented they bring joy and happiness and that indescribable feeling of wellbeing with their bubbly personalities, charisma and most of all being themselves and in control of what they do.

It is too early for me to include Christmas wishes to others as it does not start until 12th December for me. I’ll explain later if needs be. Always good to leave with an air of mystery!

We love hearing how people come across our music, thanks for sharing your story! And for the kind words!!! We’re so glad our music makes you feel that way ♥
We all shall be looking forward to your Christmas wishes on the 12th 😛

Hi, I’m Alan Hatfield from Houston, TX. Haven’t enjoyed music this much since I saw the Beatles live in St. Louis the summer of 1966. I am a retired teacher and coach that loves listening to your music. Orange blew me away. Wide, Wide Land is my fave single. Getting in the Christmas spirit by watching your videos. Stay Groovy.

Hello all,

I’m Dale, from Homer, New York. It’s a little town about 25 miles south of Syracuse, so I think Rich Holmes might have heard of it. I joined the MLT Club last year, after discovering the MonaLisa Twins by accident on YouTube. A few furious weeks watching videos got me caught up a little and then I joined, and still feel like I’m catching up. These guys pack a lot into this website!  For those of you who will be experiencing their first MLT Advent calendar, you’re in for a treat.

Hope to hear from you tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, and…

Sure, I know Homer. I mean, I drive through it much more than to it (maybe I should say drove, I haven’t been more than about 10 miles from home since March) but that counts, right?

Hello all – I’m Seattle Bob….coming to you from the Great Northwest. Home of the Space Needle and the Sasquatch. I discovered MLT in the summer of 2018 and joined the club as a confirmed addict that fall. Stay safe and healthy everyone!

Hello, I am Bill from snowy (10″ / 25cm today) north east Ohio USA. I am semi retired and spend the warmer months traveling to state and national parks with my wife in our RV. During this crazy year, there have been many times I put my ear buds in and just zone out listening to MLT music. Suddenly the stress of 2020 just fades away for awhile.

Happy Advent, all. I’ve been living in Nebraska (U.S.) for nearly three decades, but I’m originally from California. The three videos MLT made from their trip to California always take be back to the days I lived there. I used to take my sons camping in Joshua Trees National Park when they were little. We went in the spring when the wild flowers were blooming (and it wasn’t too hot).

California dreaming … we too could do with some lovely warm(er) weather right now. It’s always great to read from you here in the Club. We hope you’ll enjoy this advent calendar 🙂

i’m john and happy Christmas from Disney world (i live 8 miles away). i drive a truck 500 miles every night from Orlando to Georgia and back. at least once a night i listen to your music. makes the drive go by easy. thanks ,

Hello! Joey Belknap here! Here from California, in a little city called Redding. I found your ‘If I Fell’ on YouTube right around this time last year, then proceeded to binge watch your entire channel, and joined the club in early January of this year. Great advent calendar idea! See y’all tomorrow

What a great positive use of the word binge, normally it is associated with overeating etc. MLT can have a good effect on words too…..is there nothing they can’t brighten?

Hi everyone! I am Alan, originally from the UK, but living for the last 50 years in Ontario, Canada, close to Toronto. I LOVE the MLT sound. You ladies are amazing! XO

I am William Hauslein and thought you would be releasing a new Christmas album this year. Love your harmonies and song selections. I am familiar with advent calendars having been to Germany about a dozen times and enjoy Christmas music from almost anywhere. I wonder why if most of your fans are in the US why you decided to move to England and not here? But, keep up the tunes and harmonies.

Hi William! But we released a Christmas album only last year! There are only so many good Christmas tunes 😉 We have a new Xmas video coming out very soon though!

Yes, most of our fans are from the States but there are also lots in the UK. Given that it’s a much smaller country, it’s not much behind percentage wise 🙂 Maybe we’ll move to the States one day but that’s a lot more difficult (you need a green card etc.) For now we very much love it here but who knows what the future holds!
Greetings across the pond!

Season’s Greetings to everyone from Sunny Florida. Today it’s actually cool in Florida with temps headed to the 40s which is a welcomed surprise. Helps get into the Christmas spirit a bit to have some snuggle weather to work with. I have been a fan of the MonaLisa Twins for many years now and have watched them grow physically, musically and in popularity. We’ve still got a long way to go to make sure the world knows about them and their special style of music. Like many MLT fans I’m in my 60s and was a first hand listener of much of the music that they love and cover and style their original music on. Good old Classic rock and pop music from the Beat era. A time when music had meaning and a lot of craft went into the recordings. Real musicians with real instruments. No computer tricks. I remember watching the Beatles when they first performed on the Ed Sullivan show in February 1964 along with the show they did from Miami Beach for their 2nd performance on the Ed Sullivan show. They got a lot of attention here in south Florida while preparing for the show and doing publicity for the appearance.

While we all enjoy the MLT covers from our favorite bands and musicians from the 1960s the real treat is their original music which I feel is their best music to listen to. They put so much effort into the production of their songs and it shows with the finished product. The lyrics are so meaningful and well crafted especially when you think about the fact that English is their second language. I’ve been proud to support them financially over the past several years to keep this journey moving forward and encourage others to also support them not just by buying their merchandise but also a donation from time to time to help cover the cost of making these lovely tunes.

The Advent calendar for those who are new to the MLT Club is a treat that members always look forward to and enjoy tremendously as they are so much fun and anticipate what they have planned for the next day and looks like this year there is going to be an emphasis on club member participation. So let’s buckle up and get ready for the ride on this Magical Mystery trip this December to celebrate the Birth of Christ, the love of our fellow man and for just plain fun which is something we need in 2020. I’m looking forward to what they’ve got planned for their fans.

Rich in Sunny Florida

Hi Rich! Thanks for being on this ride for so many years now, it’s been one heck of a journey for us. I’m glad you’re able to get into the Christmas spirit already this year and I’m sure we’ll see you ‘round in the days to come! 🙂

Hey everyone! My name is Gary and I live in Albion, New York. Now this isn’t New York City but clear across the state between Rochester and Buffalo. No skyscrapers here but plenty of farm land. I’m 68 and grew up in a music loving family so I got to hear most everything from my parents music from the 1940s through Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, American teen idols on up through the Beatles British invasion. You know, the good music that we still love today. Being a child of the sixties I did have a guitar, but could never figure out which end you blow through. Sometimes I say dumb things like that.I also own a banjo given to me by my parents when I graduated from high school in 1970. After watching MonaLisa Twins all this time I’m seriously thinking of bringing them both out, fixing them up with good strings and teaching myself how to make music once again. It’s been a long while since I’ve done this and I hope I don’t keep you all up at night while I’m hanging away on them. Well, I’ve wasted enough of your time so I’ll go back to bed now. Bless You All……

Ohhhh, I think you should absolutely dust off that guitar and banjo, I’m sure you won’t regret it! ???? (if your neighbours do at first, just invite them over for a jam!)

Hello MLT club friends. I hope you are all well, safe and warm. My name is Josh Sunshine. I live in Cleveland Ohio and we are in the middle of a heavy snowstorm. I am an adult neurologist and music for me is like medicine. Blessings to all .

Hello everyone! Jim D. here! I know that there are other Jims in the group, and I can only hope that we’re all living up to the high standards that come with having that name. I live in Arlington Virginia USA, right across the river from Washington DC. Someone sent me one of the MLT videos this past summer, and I was immediately hooked! I know that touring isn’t possible for anyone, and I understand that you’re able to connect with your audiences through YouTube and your postings, but I’d still love for you to come back to the USA whenever you have a chance. When you talked about your musical influences a few weeks ago, I recognized literally all of the artists you mentioned, except for the ones that I guess were local Liverpool musicians. You have a terrific way of making all of your music your very own. I’m anxious to hear more, and get to know others in the group!

Oh, we would absolutely love to come back to the states one day but at the moment the chances of that happening anytime soon are even lower than before the world went mad. Or more mad. But I’m sure we’ll be back eventually! 🙂 In the meantime things like the MLT Club and this Advent Calendar will hopefully keep us connected with everyone!

Greetings, everyone! My name is Greg and I live in the small town of Little Chute, Wisconsin, about a 30 minute drive southwest of Green Bay. I just turned 63 years of age (love the video birthday greeting from Mona and Lisa, by the way!), so I recall most of the songs the MLT do from their beginnings. I so much the energy and passion these ladies put into their work! I love the covers and also the original material, and look forward to every new video and album. It’s the music with which I grew up, enhanced by a freshness and by new technology.

Hi and Happy Christmas to everyone. I’m Nigel from Lancaster only a (Rollin’) stones throw away from Liverpool in the UK where the Twins played their great gig at the Cavern Club -now available on the fantastic CD and download. Now having reached the ripe old age of 62 years young, I have been inspired by the music of Mona and Lisa to take up the guitar again after about 30 years of not playing due to work commitments. Just bought a telecaster, currently learning all of their songs and enjoying every minute! Can’t wait for things to improve in the UK so that we can all get to watch MLT live again!

We love, love, love stories like that! It’s great that you picked up the guitar again and that it’s bringing you so much joy, nothing makes us happier. 🙂

Hi Nigel!! I laid off the guitar from 1980 to 2005 and then picked it up again. In 2005 I was 51 and after the pain and the callouses, it came back quickly. I also have a Tele and enjoy it immensely. Keep on picking because we never really learn all there is to learn on the guitar!! Mike.

Thank you for your kind words Mike and well done too for getting back into the guitar again. My wife Helen plays the keyboard too, so we are currently driving all the older aged neighbours mad with learning our favourite MonaLisa Twins songs! (LOL)……

Hi, I am John, from Wilton California USA, this is about 20 miles southeast from Sacramento California where I was born 70 years ago. Absolutely a proud member of MLTC, Longer story made shorter, Hi there.????????

Hi there!! A big thanks on behalf of what seems like the entire independent music industry for your support ???? How amazing that you were able to help make so many great productions happen! And how amazing that you’re part of the MLT Club 🙂

Hi there, I’m Jerry Fulmer born and raised in Philly PA now living in upstate NY USA. I’m a retired disabled Vietnam Veteran and a drummer. Love you girls so much your music is wonderful. What fun. Take care, love and peace

Hi all, i’m another MLT fan from Adelaide, South Australia. Adelaide is a place that Mona and Lisa are very familiar with! I was born in Liverpool, UK and emigrated to Australia with the family when I was 12 months old. I have lots of family still in Liverpool. I have always been a fan of the “beat generation” and discovered MLT through surfing Youtube. I have been a MLT fan club member since its inception. I’m an average guitar player and have collected a few instruments along my journey. I’m inspired by MLT, their music, passion and sense of community. I’m encouraged to support young musicians like MLT as they deserve every success with such talent. Check out my niece Allegra Dunning, she’s 13 and another talent similiar to the younger MLT!

We seem to fall in love with all the places you have lived at, first Adelaide, now Liverpool! Thanks for supporting us and please say hi from us to your niece Allegra!

Hi, I’m Timmer from Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. USA. I came across The Mona Lisa Twins on FB; what a Breath of Fresh Air! You are Awesome! Love Your Music! Happy Holidays!!

Hi Everyone, My name is Joe Manzi, I live in the United States. I am currently living
in New Jersey, I have also lived in Texas for 19 years. I have been a member of MLT Club for 4 months now. I enjoy the site and members. I think Mona and Lisa are special. I love their music and can’t get enough of them. Can’t wait for 2020 to end and 21 to begin. Stay safe all.

Hello to all the fellow clubbers. I am a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada & like most everyone I’ll be glad to see 2020 be tucked away in the memory books. But as bad as things seem to be I am counting on the holidays to make me realize there is hope for the future. So looking forward to all the MLT treats coming up via videos in the next 3-4 weeks. May everyone around the globe find peace & love during the remaining time on this very challenging year. Remember “Love” always defeats “Hate”. Happy holidays to all.

Hi Girls
Bill in Montreal – vielen dank for the double CDs – poster, post card and pins I received last week – great music and stuff – especially the pick – hope some of your talent rubs off from it to my Gretsch –
stay safe und

guten nacht

Happy Christmas from Syracuse, New York! My name’s Rich, I’m a retired physicist, synthesizer builder, and ukulele player. Looking forward to what you have lined up this month… some songs included, I hope!

Physicist, synthesizer builder and ukulele player …. What a mighty trio! You’ll be sick of us by the end of the month with everything we have planned, haha! Thanks for the introduction. 🙂

Hi, I’m Roger from Portland, OR, USA. It’s fun seeing all the places other people are. Makes me almost wish I were in someplace more exotic and interesting. Christmas means a lot of things to different people but this year will be very different for everyone. It’s nice that this is happening as normal. Wishing the best for you all!

Portland seems pretty exotic to us, it’s all a matter of perspective! ???? We were dedicated from the start to make this years advent calendar happen as usual and are so happy it’s finally here.

Greetings earthlings. My name is John. I am old enough to (maybe) be the grandfather of these 2 talented twins. But that means I grew up with most of the music they are playing. The sixties had a lot of great music that we listened to on AM radio. Does anyone remember what that was!. And there was a lot of horrible music in between the gems. I live near Boston MA in the USA. But I was raised near New York City. The top AM station was WABC, which had a lot of great DJ’s. Cousin Brucie is still around on satellite radio. And (the late) Scott Muni went on to success on FM radio. Love the music and I’ve become a big ML fan.

Earthlings? Where? As one alien to another I say a big thank you for saying hi and sharing something about US radio in the 60s with us. 😉 I’ll have to look up the DJs you mentioned!

Hi. I’m Tim, and I live in Mississippi, USA, just north of the capital Jackson; although originally from Arkansas next door. From reading many of the posts, I may be the least musically talented in the MLT club (I’m a radiologist by training and don’t play an instrument), but I have loved music all my life. I’m old enough to remember seeing the Beatles in real time on TV, so the whole 60’s music scene was very influential to me. Over the years, I gravitated to jazz and classical, but discovering your music this year has brought back wonderful memories, and made some new ones with your superb originals. Your videos are an absolute delight. I am a new member of the MLT club, so I think I’ll have triple the fun with this year’s advent calendar and reviewing the last 2 years also. I had never heard of an advent calendar growing up, but my father-in-law is German, and my wife grew up in Germany, England, and the USA and awakened me to that tradition.

Mona and Lisa and team, thanks for sharing your music and lives with us – you are such a delight. We and the world are all better for it. Happy holidays.

Hi Timothy and welcome to the MLT Club! You don’t have to play music to enjoy music, that’s a wonderful thing 🙂 Thanks for saying “hi”! We’ll try to create many more memories with our music for you (hopefully good ones! ???? ). Thanks for being here.

Hi James! I hope you made it through the last few months alright with all the universities and schools being closed for such a long time! We’re wishing you all the best and thank you for being in the MLT Club!

Hi! Brian from small town Canada. Been following MLT for only two years. I very much enjoy their covers and especially enjoy their original songs.

Thanks for being some fun into this year of 2020.

Hi all. My name is Tommy and I live in Burnley, about 60 miles away from Liverpool, a city that I visit as often as possible. I am retired now but used to work for The Prestige Group. I first heard your music on the internet about a year ago now, and being a big Beatles fan, I liked what you were doing, and also like your versions of The lovin’ Spoonful. Keep on doing what you are doing and hopefully will be able to see you live at some point next year.

Hello neighbour! It’s a shame you didn’t find our music a couple of years earlier or you could have said hi at one of our weekly shows at the Cavern Club 🙂 Thanks for introducing yourself here and taking part in the Advent Calendar!

Hi Y’all, I’m Jerry Chamness from the United States. I grew up in South Carolina, but live in Georgia now. I began following MLT about seven years ago. I was still living in South Carolina. I am a Beatles fan and stumbled across MLT’s cover of “Eight Days a Week” filmed near Ayres Rock when they were in Australia. That led me to their website and I have been a fan of Lisa, Mona, their Papa Rudi and step-mum Michaela ever since. I actually got to make a trip to Liverpool to see the girls play at The Cavern Club and meet them and their family. It was a fantastic experience. Memories and music that help me cope with my health issues when I am having a bad day.
Precious girls who have some of the World’s best parents. Love them all and really cherish their entertainment. So uplifting. For me, there is just nothing comparable to the MonaLisa Twins. Joined the MLT Club day one and love being a member. Stay Groovy, Y’all.

Hi Jerry, it’s lovely to hear from you! We still remember meeting you in Liverpool very well and are glad the trip has stayed with you since. Thanks for being there for so many years now!

Hello Everyone..My name is Antonio Lima, I live in São Pauli- Brazil. I’m a huge fan of Mona and Lisa since August/2016 while I was doing a YouTube search for the song “Two of Us ” and then I found these two precious jewels, that was a very lucky day for me, and the more I hear, see and know about them.. the more admire them. we’ll definitely have a great December here at the MLTClub… The Christmas season is more beautiful and better with a MLT touch.
Good Lucky to Everyone.

Hi y’all! Welcome to level12 of Jumanji. I’m Lance, from Virginia in the States.Been followin’ Mona and Lisa for a while, just joined the club late last year. And, by the way, ladies…got my copy of “Live at the Cavern” today and put my Christmas music on hold to play it 3 times. It’s FAAAAR OUT!! I hope you and all the club members have a groovy Christmas. And I’d just like to thank you, Mona & Lisa, for being in my life. I’m SO MUCH richer for…well…not necessarily knowing you, but knowing OF you and hearing your music. Merry Chrimble!!

Wooooh we’re glad the CD arrived today and thanks for that kind intro! The MLT Club means so much to us, so believe us when we say the feeling is mutual 😀

Hi everyone!
I’m Ivan and my daughter Sasha (7 years old) is sitting here nearby telling me what to type. We were born in Russia, currently living in London. We love MonaLisa Twins music since we discovered amazing MLT videos on YouTube several years ago. “We couldn’t get our eyes off the screen when we watch it” – Sasha says.
We joined for the first time the MLT club a year ago and just rejoined back recently again after some sort of break for several months. So this is our second advent calendar with you. Sasha is really excited to take part in this challenge.
Stay groovy!
P.S. I’m trying to attach our photo we have taken especially for this challenge, but the attach button doesn’t seem to work (Chrome browser, Mac OS).

Hi Philip! Thank you for your response. Just saw your posting, glad to know you are in London as well! We can meet one day after all this covid is over. We are in the borough of Bromley, the very south-east corner.

I just checked with google maps, seems like we are about 20 miles one from another (direct line) despite living in the same city, haha. But somewhere in the centre would be really fine. Camden town, perhaps?

Hi you two, thanks for coming back! ????
That is so sweet, thanks for the quote, Sasha! We’ll have a look into the upload issue very soon (give us a few hours) and will hopefully be able to figure out what’s wrong and fix it. Papa Rudi will help 😉 We’ll report back!

Hi Mona! We are really happy to be here again, thank you for the warm welcome. Give my regards to Papa Rudi, he is incredible! Everything works well now. I was able to attach the picture to Day’s 2 challenge post. Thanks for solving!

Hello my name is Rich Raighn and I live on the Eastern seaboard of the United States in Pennsylvania and am quite a fan of Mona Lisa and love everything that you do. It just gets better all the time and I am looking forward to more of your original music because frankly you girls are all I listen to so please keep it coming and above all stay groovy

Howdy! I’m Stephen, now living near Boise, Idaho, USA. I discovered Mona & Lisa the summer of 2018 and joined the Club straight-away when they opened it that October.

I was born near San Francisco in 1951 and grew up there during the 60’s. Music has always been a huge part of my life no matter what I was doing. I’m enjoying retirement now but my career has included being a cowboy, commercial banker, small business owner and even long-haul trucker.

What I find almost spooky is the degree that the musical interests of MLT and my own seem to be “entangled” across space and time -on the other side of the world and across more that 40 years. Not only do they allow me to re-live the most enjoyable musical experiences of my past, but they do it so damned well!!! They are incredibly warm and talented individuals and have enriched my life tremendously.

I am really looking forward to wrapping up this bizarre year on a positive and fun note with the Advent Calendar. Thank you girls!

That’s a CV that speaks of an interesting life, I love it! ???? It’s crazy right, how music can connect across time and space … it’s almost like a superpower! Thanks for being here since the start!

Hello! My name is Tom, and I live in the middle of the lower Peninsula of the State Of Michigan, in the USA. I just discovered Mona and Lisa in 2020, and have quickly become a big fan. I grew up in the 60’s and love that music and Mona and Lisa are the best! I played in bands growing up and still write and record my own music for my own pleasure. My main instrument is guitar, but also play bass and drums.

Hi, I’m Jacki, I’m from Ottawa, Ontario , Canada ( btw, Ottawa is the capital city of Canada), I actually live in the area known formerly known as the city of Nepean before it and other former surrounding cities in the area amalgamated with Ottawa some years ago. I was born/raised here all my life. I have 2 older brothers. I love my family I enjoy being creative, especially writing poetry and drawing/sketching/doodling . I enjoy singing, dancing, playing tambourine, dabbling on piano, drums, harmonica, guitar, banjo ( at least attempting to try to play guitar, banjo, piano…lol) I enjoy 5 pin bowling and was in a 5 pin Bowling league…until stupid Covid occured… My music tastes vary but I know good music when I hear it, and was most ecstatic upon happily discovering MLT 13 yrs agomon YouTube with their version of ” California Dreamin” as I was curious as to finding a decent cover equalling the Mamas and Papas version…Indeed . This is a great Advent Calendar 2020 concept, I’m going to love taking part….Thankyou for creating it ????❤????

13 years ago!! Holy moly, time flies when you’re having fun, eh? 😉 Thanks for sticking with us for so long!
I hope we’ll soon return to a world where you can rejoin your 5 pin Bowling league.

Hello, from The Southern United States, Georgia to be precise.
My name is Rick Ross, and I’m a huge MonaLisa Twins fan. Mona and Lisa and their entire team have and continue to be very kind and gracious with everything they do. Blown away by their last 2 albums.????????‍♀️❤????‍????

Hello everyone! I am Michael and I’m from New Berlin (a suburb of Milwaukee) in Wisconsin USA. I am a huge fan of the twins and of the MLT club! I am really looking forward to seeing and hearing from Mona and Lisa every day!

Hi everyone, I am Chris, since all the other comments are from people a long way away, I am from Leeds about 50 miles away, one of your closest fan’s. I’m retired from proper work but am a semi pro musician, just not as successful as you. My Christmas wish is that your Christmas song is released as a single, all your fans download it and you girls get the Christmas number 1!

Hello, my name is Kenneth and I’m living in Leipzig (Saxony, Germany), but I was born in the small village Zschirla (which is slavic in origin and supposedly called after the small stream Zschirl that once existed), which is only about 5 km from Colditz (a small town that – as I was told – is known by many in the UK as Churchill’s nephew was a prisoner of war during WWII there, and there are a movie and a board game called “Escape from Colditz”). Currently I’m staying most of the time at home to keep me and others safe, still I managed to finish my Master Thesis in Communication and Media Studies (with empirical research and media pedagogics as my main subjects) in March this year and got my Master’s degree in October. Since 2009 I’m working for a non-profit migrant association, I love the UK – especially London – and feel kind of at home every time I can visit, and with my preference for “hand-made” / guitar music (and love for music from the Beatles era) it was just a matter of time until I discovered the MonaLsa Twins online several years ago and kept on looking for your / their new music videos and albums. For a few months I’ve been a regular member of the MonaLisaTwins Club, but stopped doing so – not only because I couln’t afford it, but as with many kinds of things one likes: if you use it on a regular basis (e. g., eating your favourite dish), it doesn’t feel that special any more, and as I don’t want this to be the case I join on an irregular basis and enjoy listening, watching and reading.
Stay safe and healthy,
Kenneth

Hi Kenneth, and welcome back!
Big congratulations on finishing your master thesis this year, despite all the madness! I’m sure that made the year a bit better for you.
There is nothing wrong with stopping by the Club every few months and we’ll always have you back with open arms – We’ll try our best to make December worth it! 😉

What a wonderful idea! Thanks, Mona and Lisa, for finding such a fun way for us to connect! My name is Jeannette and I live in London, Ontario, Canada. I am fairly new to the MLT club and I’m over the moon happy to be part of such an amazing group. I login every day to listen to the best music out there today! You have no idea how much joy you two have brought into my life already. Advent is my favourite time of the year and with this calendar, I have something new to look forward to every day. Thanks!

Hi Jeanette! How lovely to meet you here and thank you so much for being a part of the MLT Club and the nice words. The Christmas holidays are our favourite time of the year here in the Club because we can give it our undivided attention and just make it as fun as possible. We’ll try our best again this year!

Tried to share this photo yesterday but couldn’t get it to work. Our December 1st in Ontario, Canada was very snowy – I shoveled a good 8 inches of heavy wet snow! While shoveling, I uncovered this beauty. What better symbol of hope for the first week of Advent! It reminds me of the sunshine and life you two bring to a dreary world!

Hi Mona!! Hi Lisa!! Tom from Lindenhurst(Long Island) NY.
Have been watching the videos since 2018,finally joined The MLT Club this year.
Have been turning family and friends on to your music(not really that hard to do).You ladies have been a Ray of Sunshine in a dark and crazy year.
Wearing out my copies of the Duo Sessions & Live at the Cavern, can’t wait to see/hear what you both have in store for us all.
Love to the whole MLT team.

Hi! This is Isabell from Berlin, Germany. I was born in Greifswald, which is at the Baltic Sea, but I have lived in Berlin for almost all my life.
I am currently studying to become a teacher of German and English, which is great since I love languages, stories and learning new things.
I play the accordion and a bit of guitar, ukulele and bass. I have tried “Close to You” on the ukulele, which is really fun, but not good enough to go public yet 😉

I am very much looking forward to this MLT Advent season and hope you are all having a wonderful time!

Servus Isabell!! 🙂 Ohhhh we’d love to hear your version of “Close To You” one day if you are happy to share it with us. We’ll be waiting patiently!

Hi everyone! Jung Roe here from Vancouver BC Canada. Was born in South Korea and came over to the US when I was 2 in 1965, and then the family moved to Vancouver in 69, and been here ever since. Grew up on Beach Boys, Beatles, and Beethoven, and everything in between.
Discovered MLT cover of San Francisco on youtube in March of 2017, and been loving every MLT moment since.

This is awesome! Getting a message every day? That would make the best December! Worth 11 lousy months, for such a treat. 2020 might not be so bad if it ends this way.

Ok, so I’m Tomás, living in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA, down the road from where James Taylor grew up, So the song “Carolina In My Mind” is just out my window. It’s beautiful here. I was born in Argentina, then moved to Los Angeles, where I spent 25 years before I ran far, far away.

Big Beatles fan, that’s how I found The MonaLisa Twins and like finding a crackling fire, with a blanket and hot chocolate on a cold winter night, I never left.

I’ve been once to Liverpool, when I was 23, and visited all the Beatles sites. My matriarchal line comes from Liverpool (moved to Argentina in the late 1800’s).

Whenever I need to lift my spirits, I either listen to some MonaLisa Twins or visit the MLT Club. It used to be Beatles stuff, now it’s MLT. It brings me joy, literally.

OK, need to clean up all the drool now, but it’s honest drool. ????

Tomás

Some quick trivia on James Taylor. His first album crashed in 1968 other than a single that did well. In 69 he got another chance and recorded “Sweet Baby James” album on … yes Apple Records, same as the Beatles. He went to the studio with a mix of musicians and recorded the entire album in 3 days. But he was short one song, he need 10 so he wrote another one right then from several unfinished songs completed the project. His pay… $20K. Why do I know this, I was born and lived all my life in North Carolina, so he is my homeboy.

Good morning everyone, I am José Refugio Arellano, I am originally from Fresnillo Zacatecas, I currently live in Tijuana Baja California in Mexico

I have more than a month that I joined the club and it really is great

best regards

Hi Refugio! I immediately recognised your name because we signed your CDs last night and your parcel will go to the post office today (you’ll receive your tracking code through email soon)! It’s great to meet you here, I’m sure the weather is great in Tijuana Baja California right now! 🙂

Hi – and happy December! I’m James from the UK. This is a great idea and I’m looking forward to receiving my Christmas CD. Love the music and the harmonies – and especially the original songs.

Hi James! We just checked, your CD will get dispatched in a few hours and we say a big thanks for ordering it!
I hope it will make this Christmas season a little brighter for you 🙂

Oh cool, I’m the first. That’s gotta be worth bonus points right? 🙂

My name is Darryl, and I’m from Adelaide, South Australia.

Most people will recognise my name as I joined up to the MLT Club on day one.

I’ve been a life long lover of music. Pretty much all types of pop and rock from ABBA to the Beatles to The Cars to ZZ Top.

I play guitar too and have spent way too much money on gear over the years, although my nephew is now very thankful that I did that as he gets to borrow all my cool stuff!

I may or may not be devilishly handsome.

I look forward to many more years of the MLT club and more fantastic music from Mona and Lisa and crew.
