Day 23 – Christmas Live Stream

Join us for our first ever Livestream!

It’s not much longer until we start our virtual Christmas party – the first ever MLT Club Livestream!

The filming room is all set up, our guitars are restrung, the Christmas hats washed and the internet connection boosted … we’re ready for tonight!

Don’t forget, the stream will start at 10 pm GMT (that’s the local time here in the UK). If you want to know what time that is in your time zone please just enter your city in this time converter. Here are a few examples: 

London – 10 pm
Los Angeles – 2 pm
New York – 5 pm
Berlin – 11 pm
Moscow – 1 am
Sydney – 9 am

You can click the button below to get to the YouTube page where the stream will be taking place. Once we are live, you will see a chat window on the right hand side of the video, and if you are logged into your YouTube account you will be able to chat with us during the show. You can still watch the stream without being logged in, but won’t be able to use the chat.

We will interact with and read your messages during some portions of the video, so we hope we will see many of you take part in the live conversation. 

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that there won’t be any technical hiccups (since this will be our first stream) but we’ve tried our best to set up everything as properly as we can.

I’m staying nailed to my bed with Covid since Saturday, but there was a kind of Christmas miracle happened to me that day: my fever magically dropped from +39 down to +37 just for a couple of hours to let me watch the stream.
Today (Friday, 25) is the first day I’m steadily getting better.

I suppose I should weigh in here for attendance credit. I watched the live stream, but I wasn’t in the chat.

I concur that it was an unexpected thrill to realize that for the first time ever, over a hundred of us were participating simultaneously in the same MLT activity. I suspect it releases the same sort of brain chemicals that you get when you attend a concert.

It was really surprising to hear Lisa say that she was nervous, given that they performed a hundred concerts at the Cavern Club. All I can imagine is that they are humble enough to worry whether they can be sufficiently entertaining for an hour without a script.

I’m sure we all agree that, while their music is what brought us together, even if they couldn’t play a note we would still derive unending joy just from watching them be themselves.

It was like I was sitting in the room with the girls, when they waved I waved back. It was personal what a tremendous threat for the holidays. I love these girls so much, I love their voices together and one thing for me is I go back decades to a time when I was growing up and I realized that the music from then is not dated but it is really great music and you too have shown me how great it is. Of course The Beatles’ music has been and always will be the soundtrack of my life but Mona and Lisa you have shown me that their music really does matter. I know you do a lot of covers but your songs that you write fits right in with all of this great music and I think it is wonderful and I know I am not alone, their is a growing family of us that love your music and what you girls do. So thank you from the bottom, top and every part of my heart.

This event was amazing, I really enjoyed it, the girls’ performance was great.
 
Thank you very much for giving us this gift that at least made me forget for a while the situation in which we find ourselves.

Totally blown away today. Once the girls settled in it was like they we’re sitting in my living room chatting. Had them up on the big screen TV & like always they looked so beautiful. Thanks Wagner family for helping make a bad year not seem so bad

The Catskill Mountains are about two hours north of New York City. The town of Catskill is a small town, I live in the next town over.

A group in the town of Catskill put cat statues all over the place and let people paint them. The statues are then auctioned off to raise money for local non profits.

The Catskill Mountains are also famous for the story of Rip Van Winkle.

The coffee is my favorite, don’t let the name scare you. That company is a local one a couple hours north of here.

As for me, I’ll be at my nieces 4th birthday party at 5:00 (New York), however I’m going to try to sneak away for a few moments to join this. I really want to see you two live! I love the idea, but it’s quite likely that I’m asleep by midnight. Let’s see. I have to pick up my son very late at the railway station. And I guess we have a lot to talk about. I haven’t seen him since summer.

BTW, when you tested the Live Stream a few days ago, I caught the static that was live. I got a notice that you were live and looked. Sure enough, it was grey and black and you could tell it was live.

Can’t wait for tonight here in the UK. The wife and I will be ready to party with the MLT’s, got the Santa hats ready, a ‘couple’ of drinks in hand and ready to rock around the xmas tree. Highlight of my year!
