Diknu Schneeberger
Lisa mentioned Harris Doika (not sure of the spelling) and Diknu Schneeberger as gypsy swing classical guitar influences. I was stunned to see them play this kind of music and play it well. Lisa is gifted in lead guitar work anyways, but I had no idea she appreciated Django Reinhardt.
My favorite Reinhardt playing is a tune called J’attendrai. Django Reinhardt does some wild lead guitar work with 16th notes and grace notes added to his rendering. One of the better imitators of Django Reinhart I’ve found is this young fellow YerYesli. I wanted to pass it along to Team MLT, Harris, and Diknu.
