This is the show that set it all off. We were only 13 years at the time, awkward teenagers who had discovered their love for playing music. Up until then we had only played little school performances or goofed around in the studio with dad. Or played music in our bedrooms away from any prying ears.

Together with dad and our stepmum we decided to put on a concert for friends and family back in 2007. To play a little musical “time travel” and to perform as many different genres and songs we could with our then very limited skills. We picked 24 songs from different eras, many of which had been taught to us by our guitar and drum teachers, and we even added our very first original “Alone” to the setlist.
Looking back, this was such a crucial experience that would teach us so much. It was the first time where we felt that music is something we can “do”. That playing music and performing it for people can be fun and very rewarding and something that, if we put enough practise in, might even turn into something to be proud of. It really kind of started this whole journey …
A few of these early videos are still up on YouTube but we took the majority down many years ago. We wanted the spotlight to be on our more recent videos and thought that these old ones just weren’t that great. We still think that some of these videos are a little bit embarrassing but having gained some perspective, and with enough time having passed we think they are a great time document and we really treasure them.
We’ve been asked by a few Club members over the years whether we could make all the videos available for the Club again. And why not! This place is made to tell more of our story and this concert definitely tells the story of our humble beginnings. We hope you will like some of those videos …

Danke weiter so… Manfred
I love that “Smoke on the Water”…that video needs to go public…..and….”Baby Blue” Papa Rudi is smoking’ on that vocal…and did you notice it’s Mona playing keyboard and Lisa on drums …I’d also like to see Baby Blue go public WOW !….I am so glad you gave us these videos …I am enjoying this ❤️🧡
Mona and Lisa’s Smoke On The Water is hot!!! Lisa belts out those signature classic guitar riffs with perfection, so satisfying. Mona is awesome on the drums, such crisp beats, can feel it all, perfection again. For someone who has not picked up English yet, Lisa’s singing of this iconic rocker is right on! With those occasional smiles, she is having a good time. Papa Rudi on the keyboards, does it cool, I wish I could play like that. Your Smoke On The Water is perfection, superb, love it.
I really like the performance of Goodbye My Lover. I’m not familiar with the song at all but I love Lisa out front leading the band and singing with 13 year old passion in every word. I love Rudolf’s beautiful keyboard playing and Mona behind the drums, focusing on the percussion and adding some beautiful spot on backing vocals. It puts a happy tear in my eye.
Hi Tim
Yeah, their passion and love for their music make them fearless brave artists. Another example is Lisa’s solo vocals on I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker. She sang it with passion and heart, and in other songs with amazing sensitivity, even while not understanding the English words. I can hear Mona’s rocker vocals at 13, so powerful and commanding. They are both inspiring to watch. The whole concert is very moving.
Hi Jung, there are some very nice things about each of the songs in this concert. I think Lisa was a little more confidant or fearless and Mona a little more reserved but man, her timing on vocals and percussion is flawless. I can’t imagine how many hours they spent in their rooms practicing these songs. I think it would be cool if they put the band back together and did a reunion concert but that would be a big undertaking and take away from producing new music, especially original music which is my favorite thing they do.
To redo this album in a live concert…just the 4 of them with the girls much improved musicianship and mature adult voices would be kickass…they could do it at the Brian Epstein Theatre and / or the Cavern Club and of course they’d need to have somebody videotape and run the sound board…..I would take time off from work and fly or cruise across “the pond” to see it. They are a special kind of people with such a great talent❤️🧡
I enjoyed watching that very much. Taking in the entire concert is important. That was quite an undertaking for 13 year olds, and you were more than up to it. A true harbinger for all of your future successes. Thanks so much for that.
Hey, I just rewatched the whole concert. I think that band may have some potential lol. To play all those different instruments and learn the lyrics to all those songs, in a language that you barely knew – wow what an accomplishment.
To see Mona & Lisa at such a young age and to know them now is wonderful. We see the growth and the sophistication of their music and personalities.
And not to leave out Michaela & Papa Rudi, kudos to them for rounding out and completing the quartet.
After listening to the songs on the CDs and now to be able to see the videos of them performed is fantastic. Thank You for sharing with us. We Love You.
Cheers, Bobby S.
In “Back To Life” Mona and Lisa’s singing is really exquisite. Their vocals carry on two separate dynamic lines in counterpoint, and they do it so wonderfully, it really stands out. You would expect this level from singers who have been singing professionally for years, but Mona and Lisa at 13 do it like pros! The superb choreographic singing just arises so naturally from them in perfect harmony and sync, and they look like they are having a ball doing it. Poetry in motion! This is why the whole album is such a pleasure to listen to throughout, SUPERB singing and musicianship.
I love watching young Mona and Lisa doing those pop vocal songs and they do them very well, but I’m glad they didn’t go in that direction with their careers. I’m sure they would have been successful as their drive and determination would have made them succeed. It’s just that I probably wouldn’t have been following them. 🙁
Hi Tim, I am glad Mona and Lisa followed the musical path they did, or I wouldn’t have found them either. Having said that, while I’m not a big fan of rap/pop, Mona and Lisa’s “Aufstehn’s is just awesome, I love it. If Mona and Lisa suddenly became rap artists, I think I’d jump all in with them, their music, whatever style is just contagious.
Jung, I will listen to these girls no matter what they play now. Most of the covers they do now I would pass over by anyone else. Some of them I didn’t even like by the original artists. Mona and Lisa just have a special touch with any song they do. I love all the songs on this concert. It’s so hard to believe they were only 13 and already so talented.
Hi Tim, Yes, well said I agree. I just love everything they do. Some of these songs I would not normally listen to or I’ve heard a lot over the years and don’t do much for me any more, but when Mona and Lisa do it, wow it sounds so awesome. It brings them “Back To Life”. They have this magic with whatever music they touch. When I watch videos of songs like Aufstehn, Back To Life, Der Kommissar, Stand By Me, it evokes my 13 year old self there in the audience watching and dancing along. My 13 years old self find these two incredibly awesome.
Stand By Me was an interesting rendition. Perhaps a regular rendition would be good.
Agreed Tim & Jung …. I think they’re truly old souls from /of that Era and even from before ( Tonight You Belong To Me ), reincarnated to channel the importance of music that is timeless, because it’s from within deeply and when sung & Instrumentation is all intertwined and aligned….. It Resonates distinctively to Reach Out to All who are receptive and are touched instantly …. You can agree/disagree respectfully with what I say about the reincarnated aspect but I’m a Believer in that stuff , and I’m convinced this is genuine ….. I don’t know how else to describe their innate music giftedness they were Bestowed Upon With ….. 🤘🏻🕊
Hi Jacki, to your point, I think Austria’s Mozart lives on in these 2.
Jacki,
I’ve read some books over the years on NDE’s — (near death experiences,) & I feel that almost anything is possible. So I’m open to that belief because of the evidence I’ve read & heard about. It’s hard to explain how W. A. Mozart could play a violin at age 2 by just watching his dad’s musician friends. He started studying piano at age 3 & was composing music at age 5 & performed before 2 Imperial Courts at age 6 with his sister.
We all know how Mona & Lisa began singing & playing at an early age.
They’re similar to the Beatles & other musical prodigies because this type of talent is so rare. Sure, there are many talented people in all subject areas. But it’s hard to account for the extremely talented among us.
Perhaps we each work on the same thing for many lifetimes. It’s an interesting subject! 51% of people in the world believe in Reincarnation. That doesn’t necessarily make it true. But there are many firsthand accounts of people clinically dying & coming back to tell their stories. So I wouldn’t discount so many peoples’ experiences.
Personally, I’d like to come back & have another crack at life! I feel like I’m just getting started! I’m never jealous of anyone else’s talents. I just admire it & try to learn from them!
If we just die, & there’s nothingness, well, there’s not anything we can do about it, so why worry? (What me worry? — ha, ha!) But if we learn from each lifetime and progress as souls, that sounds very fair! I ain’t perfect, but I’ll try my best each time! LIVE, LOVE & LEARN!
Besides their musical abilities, I enjoy watching how calm & happy OUR Twins are in everything they do! It’s hard to see their effort, but I know it’s there. (Although, I would love to see them blow up at each other, & then laugh & make up 5 minutes later! THAT would be a trip!)
Well, gotta get back to practice, class planning, new seating charts, taking care of our Cat, etc. Be Happy y’all & have a great upcoming week!!
— Bud
I remember seeing this a long time ago and my favorite part is Mona on Twist and shout! LOVE seeing her play the drums! That show is so much fun! Thanks for putting it in the club for us!
So interesting to see this again. So much has been done in the 16(?) years since. It’s amazing (even though the word “amazing” is usually overused, “I stand in amazement” is the apt descriptor here) how this first performance foreshadows what was to come. All the elements for what will be are there. It’s the diamond that will be worked on and polished to what it is today. 💎🤩
As I watch these videos, I find myself wondering about the time leading up to these shows. There is so much energy on the stage, I can only imagine the nervous excitement in planning this. I am sure it started the moment someone said, yes let’s do it. I wonder if it was like kids in the car. Are we there yet?
The historical content on this site is amazing. I remember when I first joined I wanted to see and hear everything. I can’t even imagine what that is like now. MLT has grown so much since then, it could be a bit overwhelming, but then you click one link and voilà! This one is my favorite until I click on the next.
Thanks again for sharing these early performances. They are priceless.
JP
Mona & Lisa,
It’s taken me a few days to watch & listen to all your 2007 Concert pieces as I’ve been teaching full-time the past 5 weeks, with more to go. I’ve enjoyed ALL of your 24 pieces & have listened to several of them more than once!
I have my favorites, but there are so MANY of them that I love! Standouts to me were “Twist & Shout,” the Reggae tune, “Alone,” the “Punk Rock” song, “Ain’t No Sunshine,” & many others. I loved both Mona & Lisa’s lead AND background harmony vocals. They were all excellent! You had a nice, varied program!
Sorry for the comparison, but Lisa’s singing is like Karen Carpenter’s, in that they are BOTH like 99.9 % in tune live! That is AMAZING! Mona has a different vocal quality which is also EXCELLENT! And Mona’s drum solo — WOW! Papa Rudi on keys & bass, and Michaela on sax were both great! And her Alto Sax playing had such a superb, flawless sound! She reminds me of Paul Desmond’s sound, from Dave Brubeck’s Jazz group!
I have to admit that I’m not a big Rap fan, although there are several Rap things that I like. Particularly those with some interesting Jazz/or Melody to go along with it. So I was SURPRISED to see our Twins do a Rap piece, but I think they did it justice, & performed very well! I had to look up Falco, because I wasn’t familiar with him. I do vaguely remember hearing “Rock Me Amadeus” years ago.
Being a Music Teacher & Musician, I’m always listening for songs with great Melodies, Harmony & Rhythm. Too much rapping with no melody, & I’ll usually turn it off. (I did do “Walk This Way” in the 80’s in a Rock Band that I was in. It was a novelty, our only Rap piece & it was fun to do!)
Besides the great Musicianship of Lisa/Mona & Family, I am struck by the girls’ versatility on different instruments, & their accomplished playing on such a variety of songs! I would like to give you a Thumbs Up, & VIRTUAL HUGS for doing such a wonderful job on your first big Concert!!!!
Your JOY and ENTHUSIASM for everything you did was so obvious and contagious with your audience of school chums & admirers!! I am SO GLAD THAT YOU PUT THIS WHOLE CONCERT OUT FOR ALL YOUR FANS TO SEE!!!! And there was NOTHING to be embarrassed about ladies! C’mon, you were 13 years old! Not many kids that age could come even close to what you & your parents achieved that night!
And you just keep getting BETTER, and we ALL LOVE YOU for it!!!! (Can you tell I enjoyed your concert?!) I’ll be watching it many more times!!
So get rested & practiced up, and we’ll see you next Friday! — yer fan, Bud.
RUDI,
I forgot to mention that you did a GREAT JOB on your VOCAL SOLO! Nice style & tone quality! And also, very nice background vocals by Michaela!! Very well done, both of you! Your kids I’m sure are very proud of you!
— Bud J.
I would love to see a new version of Smoke on the Water! The 2007 version is amazing particularly the guitar solo. Great drumming as well.
Thankyou very much Mona and Lisa for dredging this piece of history from out of the archives. Not unlike many of your subsequent videos from over the years, I was most impressed by the diversity of your musical interests, not to mention your early skill level as musicians. My two favourites were the “refreshed” version of Stand By Me, and the jazzy, (and nicely long), Ain’t No Sunshine. At nine and a half minutes long, I was completely taken by each of the solos, particularly Mona’s wizardry on the drums.
Thanks for showing the whole concert. I keep going back to Ain’t No Sunshine. In Baby Blue, it was interesting to see Lisa play drums and Mona play piano.
Thanks for sharing these. They are truly priceless pieces of history. We loved Back To Life. Your thirteen year old vocal range is impressive. And your dance moves…
Rudi is the One. He seemed so comfortable singing to the camera, given his shy demeanor during the live streams. We sensed a Bowie influence, but then settled on,”That’s how he sounds.” 🤓
Thanks for sharing this brief moment in time,
JP & Marlo
(loved the Lisa Mona occurrences, Lisa left – Mona right)
What an amazing treasure trove!! How about Rudi’s voice? It is next level like Bowie. This Wagner family is so damn talented!!
I loved Aufsteh’n and Smoke On the Water actually I love the whole thing. Thanks for sharing!!
The 2007 Concert collection is such a wonderful addition to the MLT Club music library. We have the full 2016 Cavern Club Concert, and now having the full 2007 Mona Lisa & Band Concert really showcases the progression from 13 years old Mona and Lisa full of fire and passion talent to amazing remarkable rockers they flourished into 9 year later. Then there is the artistic Duo Session Collection that showcases the incredible diversity, depth, sensitivity, beauty and emotion of their music and musicianship. The MLT Club is truly a music lovers paradise, and where all the people with the best taste in music hang out. Love it.
Mona & Lisa, Thank you so much for posting this! I have wanted to see the entire concert from 2007 ever since I found you 3 plus years ago. The first song I ever heard from you was Knocking on heavens’ door. There were several songs from this show that I had on 45’s when I was growing up in the 60’s. I watched the entire show tonight. What a treat to see you at your “beginning” I loved it!
Is there a way to watch the whole show without clicking on each individual video? I would love to watch the whole concert with one click like the Cavern Club show. Maybe when it gets put into the club music archives.
Hi Tim, when you play the video here click on YouTube at the bottom of the player. This will play the video in YouTube. The videos should advance automatically now.
Thank you sir, I’ll try that. I made a YouTube playlist of all these videos that works well enough, just get the YouTube Ads.
The performance that started it all. Always enjoyed watching Lisa’s confidence level evolve during “Wonderful Tonight”. An excellent performance, especially for us long-time MLT fans.
MonaLisa and Band…classic!
When I was growing up in a little tiny town in South Dakota… we had a youth center that you could go to if you were at least 13 years old. I believe the song “Smoke on the Water” came out in 72 or 73? In the youth center was a jukebox…. Smoke on the Water probably played more on that jukebox than any other song. I was 13 or 14 years old at that time.! The same age as the Wagner twins when they played it at their concert! I wish someone would’ve invented time travel….I would’ve gone back to the future! 🤓🎶
Tim so true Smoke on the water was played so much back in 1972 / 73. If you wanted to be in a garage band you had to play Smoke on the water….
Oh my goodness. What fun going back in time. I love your performance of “Der Kommissar” back in the day…
I think that is the most animated I have ever seen you. I would LOVE to see you do it now. I wonder how you would approach it and what special effects you may add. That would be something to see and hear. 🎶🎷🥁🎸🔊❤️💛
Wow this is a treasure for all of us. I love these videos and songs, and the best thing is seeing Pa Rudi and Michaela playing along with you both. I as you all know play drums and I have been blessed thru out my life to play and meet great people local in my area and played with great musicians, I was a session drummer for a short period and sat in when the drummer could not make a gig, again blessed but I had the opportunity back in 2006 with my son Josh, he put together a band for the talent show and he wanted me to play drums for his band, well you can view this on Utube Mr. West Alleghany 2006 and fast forward to 29 min mark and you can see the songs I did with my son Josh, so what I am trying to say is, it was the highlight of my career playing with my son, my heart was pounding the entire time and tears in my eyes, and I bring this up because I can just imagine Pa Rudi and Michaela playing along with Mona and Lisa. It is priceless in my eyes and no money can match that feeling. Thank you, Mona and Lisa, for sharing this with us and just love the song selection. I am going to go back and watch and sing again. God bless you all and can’t wait till next Friday!!
Bill and Maddie Isenberg Huge Huge Huge Fans from Pittsburgh PA USA
Also, I just have to add, is it just me or does Mona seem to be having the most ecstatic moment of her life playing Twist and Shout? She just makes me so happy!
Oh yeah, I’ve never seen a drummer sing and drum at the same time with so much fun and excitement. Give me Mona over Ringo and Sina any day. In Tears In Heaven, Mona does it again, giving such a beautiful tender performance singing while doing the drums. She is such a powerfully talented all around diverse musician.
Roger and Jung, I agree with the two of you, Mona does love singing Twist and Shout and Jung yes Tears of heaven is spot on. Singing and playing the drums is not an easy task and Mona does it like a pro!! To this day I can’t sing on certain songs and play the drums and one song that comes to mind is Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh, I have a hard time keeping the beat and singing to that song….LOL…..
So very glad you did this for us to see again! So many of these songs were and still are a part of my musical history, all the way from my teen years right up to playing and singing them now. Absolutely love the renditions of Knocking on Heaven’s Door, Wonderful Tonight and especially Smoke on the Water. Move over Ian Pace, Mona’s knockin’ on your door!!
Hard to believe that was going on almost 20 years ago. But you have both matured so much in your musical abilities and presence. But even at the tender age of 13, you had your own “schtick”!
But for me, there are just no words to describe “Alone” and what feelings it brings out in anyone that listens to it. I cannot imagine the emptiness I would feel if someone/anyone removed the MonaLisaTwins from my life now.
A big thanks for doing this! Seeing that amazing 13-year old talent in action adds a lot to the songs. Songs like “Der Kommissar”, “Back To Life”, and “Aufsteh’n” were fun to watch as the girls really put themselves into the songs. It was also nice to see more of Dad and Michaela in action; they certainly taught the Mona and Lisa well.
BIG, longtime wish fulfilled! THANK YOU! I was among those who asked for this whole concert to be made available on your website, a few times formerly, and most recently during one of the Advent calendar livestreams. I was giddy with anticipation all day after I saw the email announcement! I finally got to relax and put the concert on the big screen and my excited expectations were exponentially exceeded! Mom and I just finished watching it, and she loved it as much as I did, if that’s possible! I’m sure ‘One’ and ‘Baby Blue’ were highlights for her 😉, but she really enjoyed it all! Like Jung said, some of the videos revealed surprises for me who was singing at times. ‘Tears in Heaven’ was a real treat, ‘Alone’…WOW!, ‘Aufsteh’n’ was amazing, and ‘Stand by Me’ fulfilled my dream of seeing Mona’s rap compliment Lisa’s singing! There were many other highlights throughout, and I can’t convey them all, but I have to mention how much we both enjoyed Michaela’s sax! She is truly talented with it and also added so much with her backing vocals and tambourine and various shakers and even keys on one song! Renaissance Man Rudi does it all to incredibly high standards! And what a treat to see Mona on keys and Lisa on drums at the end! One last rave: Even the camera work and particularly the first-rate editing and production were MARVELOUS!
Hi Jeffery
Yeah, Michaela’s SAX playing was brilliant throughout. It is truly the FAB4 up there. I did ask for a “MonaLisa and Band” reunion at one of the livestreams, HAHAHA. 😁 It would certainly be worthy. Maybe one day!
Agreed Jeff, seeing Lisa on the drums much less Mona rocking that keyboard is something to behold. And Michaela’s contributions were key (don’t mind the pun), but especially some of those vocal fills!
It was so much fun watching you both perform Der Kommissar, Back To Life, Stand By Me, Aufsteh’n (my 2nd fave on the album), and Smoke On The Water. You guys can dance good too in those songs, and the way you sing and dance it’s so engaging, you can’t help but want to dance along. In Aufsteh’n you got the audience to get up and dance. I really dug the guitar work and drumming in Smoke On The Water. Papa Rudi and Michaela were superb on the keyboard and saxophone. It was really nice to see which songs Mona sang and which ones Lisa did because in the recordings it’s really hard to tell. In the ballads, you both sang so beautifully, tender, sweet, and emotional. You were both just superb singers and musicians there, wow. Knocking On Heaven’s Door, Tears In Heaven, and of course your original “Alone” is magnificent. Enjoyed this so much, thank you! 💖
Hello my friends. When I started to deep dive into MLT I used to play what was up on YouTube. I found out a little about this history from them and now it’s complete. I had my brother ( He’s my brother because he’s an Afghanistan vet to my Desert Storm vet) react to a couple of these. I loved the Ain’t No Sunshine because of the twist. A very jazz feel. Loved the tone of Stepmum on the sax. I played early on with a person that played legit baritone sax for the Rasher Ensemble. I love a dark sound on sax and that’s half the battle to play. Lisa on bass and vocals are so cute, poised too at a early age, Papa on a beautiful jazzish solo which tells you just how talented he is. The vocal harmonies to unlesh Papa to the very nice, I think it’s more of a jazz style drum solo by Mona. At the end I loved her smile. It’s so nice to see people who just love and was meant to perform. I wanted my brother to see it and enjoy. Then one day I found on YouTube while driving down the road a live version of the Santana song. I have a Respect and love for Santana, because in the 80s while I was stationed with the 3rd Armored Division Band, way before I went crazy and volunteered for the M1 Tank, in Frankfurt West Germany, we played a lot of Politzi shows. We’d spend a day doing at least 2 marching shows and the finale. The down time on this particular show I spent talking to the London Bobbie members of the marching band. We were going over British and American slang etc . A couple of friends asked if I wanted to go find a pub to grab a bite and beer. I stayed, but they found a pub closed to the public. Santana was giving a private concert. They showed up, as they were turning them away…Santana motioned saying let them in. They grabbed a beer and listened to Santana. To this day I have a lot of love and Respect for him. Now back to my story. After hearing the live on YouTube, I remembered that Lisa did her version at 13, which is very brave, at this concert. All in all she did such a beautiful job and the family’s part really did fit the style. So, crazy me, I had to have my brother react to that too telling him my story. I love stories. When I can tell stories and include music I love so much. I know I will be playing the complete concert over and over. I have shown reactors that react to my 2nd band and the few I’ve sponsored MLT with is what happens if children are instructed and then give them the freedom to discover their creative musical abilities what do you get? Well, you get bith MLT and Liliac. Wish more families would be so supportive. Sorry..Oldman rant! Lol 🍻🌹❤️🤘
I’m with Bobby…it’s so weird but fun to see Mona on the right.
I’m glad everyone likes Stand By Me. It’s one of the rare covers that MLT did that I really don’t like. I love the King version so much that this is simply too much of a departure. But apparently that’s just me, so, bravo.
Watching that performance of “Alone,” I can’t even begin to imagine the simultaneous pride and humility Papa Rudi must have felt. If those were my daughters I could have died happy right then knowing my mission on earth was complete.
Hi, Roger! At one point, Mom said “Rudi must be so proud right now!” So she definitely agrees with you on that point! I, too, revere King’s version but I think I enjoy MLT’s take on it precisely because it is so different. I definitely don’t like B.B.’s any less since hearing the twins’.
Hi Roger,
Yeah I agree. A huge kudos and much gratitude to Papa Rudi for recognizing the gifted talent his beautiful girls had, and giving them the freedom and support to explore their passion in music, and share their gifted talent that has touched so many of us here. It is a true virtue. At the livestream we saw the impact Mona and Lisa has on people with their music, truly reaching out internationally now across every continent to thousands of people, so much to be proud of, and it will only snowball and grow in a massive way. I really enjoyed being able to see Papa Rudi singing One Love. He was great singing and playing the bass and keyboard. I could see where that talent came from, and I couldn’t help but feel that ole expression, “a chip off the great ole block”, and in this case Mona and Lisa are 2 gigantic golden nuggets of incredible talent.
I’ve watched a few of the videos… but Bob Dylans, “Baby Blue” fantastic song….. I’ve mentioned it before, Bob needs to take lessons from Rudy about how to make a song into a fantastic piece of music! Rudy on bass and lead vocals… very interesting voice… singing, and talking…. Michaela on the fantastic saxophone! Which makes that song! Lisa on the drums… and Mona on the keyboard! This whole family has talent that is just off the charts! I have nothing more to say! 🤓
O wow! What a wonderful gig to have performed so young. It would actually be amazing to see you do the same set now!
Some real gems in here. So, so glad you didn’ pursue the “Aufsteh’n” groove or I may never have discovered you. “Smoke on the Water” a stand-out performance for me, with “Samba Pa Ti” a close second. You definitely had that rock and roll vibe in your veins and so glad to continue down that path.
Such talent
Enjoyed the concert, didn’t know that Alone was original. Great job by the whole family! Thank you!
What a talented family, and Wow what a concert!
I particularly like I wish I wad a punkrocker, when it came out, it was something really different, you brought it to life again.
Thank you for reviving this video, such a treat
Same, I thought that was quite a refreshing song when it first came out.
Thanks!
These are great even talented at the young age loved listening to them all, everyone has to start somewhere and you have now blossomed into something great may you long continue
I just watched the whole concert and to say I am impressed with the 13 yo Twins would be an understatement. It is easy to see the talent that is bubbling under the surface that will blossom in future years. ”Dad’ & ‘Step-Mom’ are also very talented. I really enjoyed this concert as well as all of the performances / videos that have followed through the evolution / journey of these remarkable young ladies. Thank you very much and may the new year bring continued success. Stay safe and healthy!!!
Thank you Bruce, that is very kind ♥
I loved these videos when I saw them before. 🎤 🎸 🥁 You have come a long way since then, but I thought you were pretty good at 13. I love some of the words you had trouble pronouncing. If I remember correctly, Lisa said she didn’t even know what some of the words meant. I laugh every time I hear them because, since then, you have developed such a great vocal 🎤 talent. 👱♀️ 👩🦰 💖
I’m not gonna ask about the 12 string sound and how you got it.
Haha our pronunciation in some of the videos makes me laugh too!
The 12-string sound was done with a Line 6 guitar that had different sound “models” built in. A pretty clever thing actually that we used quite a bit before we accumulated a more extensive guitar collection 🙂
Yeah Lisa, I’ve used a similar setting on my Boss setup but it doesn’t sound very good when played on the high E and B strings. On a real 12 string, those two strings have the same tuning and not octave like the other strings. Since the Boss octave didn’t sound real to me, I bought a Taylor 362ce 12 string and I love it because it sounds great and hardly ever goes out of tune.
Howdy,
Thank You So Very Much. It is so good of you to do this. A great idea. Now I’m going to grab some snacks – I have some of Mr Kipling’s Tarts & McVitie’s Hobnobs which were imported from the Uk – and watch the concert videos.
Cheers, Bobby S. 😎🎵🎵🧛♂️😍❤️🥰
Hi. I watched more than half of the videos, but I have to go out and take a break now. After listening to these songs on the CDs, it’s nice to see them live. One of my favorite songs is “Stand by Me”. I kept thinking of the many Club Members who sometimes ask about Mona being on the left & Lisa on the right. Well, we all got a chance to see Lisa on the left and Mona on the right hahaha.
Take care, Bobby S.
My former colleagues in the US always craved jaffa cakes and asked me to smuggle some in when on business trips.
Hey Bob D. That’s cool. There’s an Italian British man in my town who opened up a pizzeria/Kensington Pies store. The pizza is good. The sweets are good. I haven’t tried the meat pies yet. Take care, Bobby S.
Hope you enjoyed your Hobnobs and Mr. Kipling Tarts 😉
Yes Lisa, I especially love the tarts. They are small, but delicious. I am going back tomorrow to buy more pizza and at least two boxes of tarts (there’s only six in each box). The store owner is so nice. I never met an Italian-British person before. We have nice conversations. Love you. Bobby S.

This is awesome, thank you. I only became aware of the MonaLisa Twins in October 2022 so I have only seen the videos that are still on YouTube and Alone when you shared the link in the club. Like the Cavern Club show, this is going to be one of those jewels you can only find in the MLT Club. I can’t wait to watch it on the big screen TV.
Really enjoyed watching and listening to all these diverse songs one after the other. Even at that young age your better than I’ll ever be ha ha. Absolutely fantastic. Love it
These are great! I watched all of them once before and enjoyed it. Aside from the fact that teen angels Mona and Lisa are adorable, you can see raw talent and a lot of hard work and practice went into this. I appreciate the commitment.
The choreography on Der Kommisar is a joy. You definitely need more choreography in your work today😃!
Thank you for sharing again.
Haha, thanks Tim!
I remember watching some of these before you took them down and missed them after you did. Especially Stand By Me. Love your rendition and how you all rocked that one. Thanks for bringing them back. Definitely something to be proud of!
You hope we will like some of these videos? Sorry, no. Love all of them! 🙂
Thank youn Dana! We also think it’s nice that these videos now live on here in the Club 🙂
Thank you so much for this video theres nothing like going down memory lane you’re so talented and so gifted well done and you were only 13 16 years on you’re better than ever
Thank you for these treasures! It will be wonderful to see your earliest concert. Going to watch now!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Looking at the playlist of videos, Back To Life, Standby Me, Aufstehn, Smoke On The Water,…all those I’ve been dying to see the videos for a long, long time. As I said before, with your naturally gifted talents, you hit the pavement running, the 2007 show is fabulous. One of my favourite albums to listen to when I travel, and all the time. The raw passion and emotions you created in every song is magnificent. I like your Samba Pa Ti better than when Carlos Santana does it. You captured the essence and beauty of every note with incredible sensitivity to move. It’s like that on every song like Tears In Heaven, singing is heavenly. Sure, you polished your skills even more over the years, but you had that magic from day one, that is shining more brightly than ever!.
So glad you’re enjoying these early videos! They’ll stay up here in the Club 🙂 ♥
Thank you Lisa, that is awesome. ❤️🙃🙂
Yeppers, I remember watching this video series after discovering you on “California Dreaming ” , further cementing my becoming a fan, thus buying this CD as my First MLT CD, ..wow …16-17 yrs ago, it’s been, literally have seen you grow up before my eyes…. I must be or close to it, the most longtime fan going … since pretty much your beginning thereof …. yes, 16-17 years this year, it will be… just can’t recall exactly when I discovered, probably in Spring/Summer ….
