The Year The “MLT Club” Was Born
This year was one of consolidation. You know, we’d had years of live playing and touring, of songwriting and album releases. But over all these years we’d also been steadily working on building a solid and sustainable foundation from where we could focus more on our music and new creative projects rather than on livelihood.
Our very early fans will have seen us starting out with cover songs from YouTube and Facebook, then having our very first website back in 2007. Our second website got launched together with our debut album “When We’re Together” in Spring 2012, still not very interactive yet but bilingual, with audio/video players and a proper online shop. The ORANGE year, 2017, brought to light the present website – interactive, mobile friendly and a lot more automated to economise and improve user experience.
More often than we cared for technology wasn’t quite there yet where we wanted it to go. Months of research and website coding were/are necessary to achieve what some years later would/will become common knowledge and commercially available. DIY is not for the faint-hearted, that’s for sure.We’ve been planning on having a “MLT Club” membership for many years.
We’ve always been documenting our musical work and life, knowing that we wanted to share it with you later down the line. But first we wanted to embody our vision, grow into it, create music we can be proud of, and actually live and work the experience in order to have an interesting and inspiring story to share after all.
After 10 years of background and preparation work, of looking forward to this very moment in time that we could finally open our archives, we were now also technically able to unite the various facets of our life and work on this new platform, on our own website, which is the “MLT Club“.
But before we were going to start working on new MLT Club projects and new originals we had also taken the time to finally package our many YouTube covers in CD format. We’d had so many fan requests of where to buy these songs that we decided on a double release of “MLT play Beatles & more Vol. 2 + 3“. To keep it exciting for everyone we’ve added 9 new songs to the mix which got us back in the studio and in CD production mode again.
As this was mainly a year of “homework”, connecting the dots and wrapping up, there might not be as many music related (live) photos in 2018 as in other years. Surely we will not bore you with photos of computer screens, so you’ll mainly see us (re-)creating and in the studio.
