Questionable – New Video

We just uploaded a new video!

The third single off our upcoming album is here, and it’s … Questionable! 😉

We filmed this video last weekend and have spent the last 7 days editing and getting it ready for today.

Why today? Because February 21st marks the birthday of our late friend, Steve from Miami, who was one of the earliest and biggest supporters of our musical journey. We haven’t missed posting a birthday upload in his honour and memory in 9 years, and today it is a fun and light-hearted original song that we think he would have really enjoyed.

As you can imagine, we had an awful lot of fun on set and want to say a special Thank You to all the actors involved. Everyone was such a good sport!

In order of appearance: Kyle Finn, Vampy Jordan, Pete Hirst, Shane Senior, Jack Bodhi, Josh Lines, Kartheek Saladi, Franklyn Jacks, James Cameron!

We’d love to hear what you think in the comments here on this post or directly on YouTube! YouTube likes & comments always help us reach more people (it boosts the algorithm there) so please feel free to comment and share wherever you can! 🙂

MLT Club members have already heard the song a couple of weeks ago, so if you too want to get access to new music earlier while supporting us at the same time, we welcome you to check out the MLT Club.

We are already working on another original tune and are excited to have our next album coming together song by song. MLT Club members get Early Access to most of the songs!

It’s such a good feeling to be able to share singles from it with you whenever we like, which is another reason why we value being independent artists so much – no label telling us about the timing of releases and we are literally able to write, record, film and publish a new tune all in the matter of a couple of weeks. 🙂

So let’s get straight back into the studio!

Thanks for watching and always stay groovy!

  3. Great tune you two! Dig the slides in the melody and very clever word play – hmm, some parallels to later George Harrison chord progressions in there, no surprise! Thanks so much for releasing new material!

  4. Mona and Lisa, I love the video! And you both get more and more beautiful! And I absolutely LOVE the use of the diminished chords too! 🙂

  5. Mona and Lisa. Unbelievably talented musicians and composers with electric stage presence and personalities, all topped with the sensitive souls of the Poets and Muses.
Questionable is a masterpiece of satiric social commentary and flat out FUN! Loved the 1950’s-styled girl group back-up singers in smashing outfits. You’ve both significantly improved the quality our lives. Please, please support these women! ????????

All the scenes were so well done and match the lyrics perfectly.
I enjoyed the video so much that I watched it at least 10 times already.
The video makes me smile and grin from ear to ear.
Oh and is that an organ I hear? Sounds great and really adds great sound to the song.

  13. Félicitation pour vos belles réalisations c’est du beau travaille, vous grandissez toujours de plus en plus et ce mélange des genres musical de ses 50 derniéres années et une réussite !!!! Kisses from France

  14. A very beautiful and authentic song reflecting a throwback to the 60’s, and showcasing a cast of eclectic, but quirky cast of characters. SUBLIME!!!!

  15. A very different type of song to your usual 60/70/80 music but superbly performed and an awesome amusing video. Excellent production., good acting, overall fantastic.

  16. One Word, well maybe a few more. Just superb writing and so original as is all your writing. Thank You Ladies for the wonderful music.

  17. Always happy to listen to new songs from you! Wishing you and the team all the best!! You are one of my favorite groups on YouTube and I enjoy your music very much! ????????????????????✌

  18. Absolutely brilliant. Love the song, well written and beautifully sung and produced. Loved the video, hilarious and well conceived. I’d go with the peanut guy!!

  19. Another perfect song from you both. I would file it somewhere between Tony Hatch and Benny Anderson, with a rather large twist of Ray Davies. It definately floats MY boat. ????

  20. I took the time to read all the comments available here…I must say…they all pretty much sum up how I feel about you 2 and your music. I thought this was a cute video, and a cute song. I liked the words and the tune itsself. I know we grow when people are honest with their comments, but honestly,I have NOTHING to be critical about when it comes to you 2,including this latest song/video.If I did I would tell you but I have NOT heard one thing you have done that I dislike….Great Job.

  21. Your songs are always catchy and phrases from it play in my head days after listening to them. This is no exception, not only a great song but I love the idea of you getting someone to fill out a questionnaire, great concept, I love it

  22. Nice job, M & L ! Catchy tune and the video was really well done.

  23. I love the song but don’t know whether is’s an album cut or a single. Doesn’t matter cus it’s fine. I still love Mona the best but there’s three of you and I do not know who is who. I am lost. Wonderful and thanks for the music.

  24. Mona Lisa, WOW what a great song, the melody is fantastic your work and talent is brilliant I listen to your new song Questionable four times because the song is so incredible, the video was delightful and brings back the marvelous great shows of the 60`s
women groups with a little dancing and singing, this song is a big hit.

  25. I’ve listened to probably every cover and original tune you’ve done or recorded and I do believe this your best effort – totally entertaining – a little Oo-La-La-La background by Mona with the split personality since there were 2 of her in there That was particularly original and catchy and would do great I believe on the nationa charts if you ever went that route. You gals have really grown up since you were just “Kids” a few years ago. I especially enjoyed the change of timing in the refrain and the ending as well. A well thought out song and clever video. Both an aural and video treat to be sure. I’m 73, played in bands for almost 60 years and saw the Beatles live twice so I am familiar with music and clever videos. You’ve come a long way in a few years. Marty

  26. Great Song and video! Well written, Well preformed, Great production and engineering ! Congratulations on another wonderful MLT tune!

  27. Love, love, love ladies. Yet another really catchy song, with a good lyric and excellent harmonies. Congratulations. When is it going to be available on the new album? x

  28. Awesome! I love it. Playful yet real world appropriate on many age levels. Every teenage girl should have to listen to this song with an older woman and discuss.

  29. What a fresh sounding song! You girls are marvelous, loved the video it was so funny. It definitely describes the current dating scene. Stay true to yourselves and keep rockin’ you both are amazing!

  30. Really nice. It reminds me of The Rutles’ song “Questionnaire,” with a slightly different thrust. (Written by Neil Innes, I believe.) Mona Lisa twins are maturing very nicely.

  31. Love it
    Love it
    Love it
    Well done Mona Lisa Triplets!!!
Your original songs and videos always bring a smile to my face!
    Keep up the great work.

  32. ABFAB!!!!!! The Twins done it again…..
Love the music, and lyrics are great. Hope you tour soon, if not, I’ll need to come over and visit.

  33. Love the feel of the song from the get go, draws you into it’s wonderful catchy melody, and the vocals and harmonies are heartwarming. The video complements the song perfectly and is so funny, witty, and charming, and Lisa is superb as the interviewer with so many wonderful expressions, and ultra-cool and sophisticated. The singing trio scene is breathtaking, love those harmonies, and you both look stunning. You’ve crafted some incredible music here, the album will be a masterpiece, and this song is a chart topper. Absolutely love this song.  ????????????❤

  34. Hey Ladies, Great Song and Very catchy Video! Humorous yet really well written and performed! Loved It!!! Keep them coming, ya’ll are as beautiful as your music! Also throw some more Beatles covers in there, that is what got me hooked on your music!(Don’t get me wrong, your own music is awesome! I am just a big Beatles fan and you ladies do a great job on covering them!) Thanks Again and Keep the Hits Coming,
    Jim

  35. Wonderfull, just Wonderfull. & the “lalala ooo” a wonderful nod to doo wop and the great 60’s girl groups.
Now to listen again and again to hear how you put it together & all your parts, including the triplets’ parts in your white dresses, yum!

  36. What is not “Questionable” is the bright and shiny diamonds in the really rough. Shining stars you are. Very well written, produced, and performed as always ladies. God Bless you and yours..Oh wait! He already has and does.????????

  37. You 2 dont need me to tell you how great you are,( but you are ) so i am asking you to send me a question sheet, maybe at 74 yrs old i wont fit the bill ,but its worth a go … love the song and the posh frocks & hope to see you live one day !!!

  38. Great song! Your music with it’s harmonies and drama are always great, but this one is all that and so fun to boot!

  46. Haha! Great fun! You have got your work cut out amongst such a wide variety of ‘questionable’ candidates! Excellent work ladies.

  47. You got it right on target ladies, no record label pressuring you and you taking the time to get it right and you hit this one out of the ball park, well done and kuto’s to MLT for putting and editing this catchy tune and love the story line and the guys were a cool part as well but with the two of you in face cream? Ah no need for that you ladies are pretty enough without that! LOL…But a great part of the story , love the humor !! Great video and love the song, keep it coming
    Hugs from

  48. So clever. Cleverly conceived and brilliantly edited video to reflect a song that perfectly captures your playfulness and humour. You interpret The Beatles very well, but I love your original songs.
