For What It’s Worth – New Video

Stop children, what’s that sound?

… It’s music dwelling through the depths of the Cavern Club again!

We hope you all had a great week. Let’s ring out the weekend with another upload from our Cavern Club series.

This one has been part of our repertoire for as long as we can remember. It’s a song you can play as big, fast, loud, quiet or intimate as you want and it doesn’t really lose on impact.

The lyrics are strong and, unfortunately, continue to be relevant to this day.

Hope you like it!

Consider joining the MLT Club to watch all 28 Cavern Club videos at once, stream the entire album, and if you choose to get the double album, get it signed.

Hugs,
Mona & Lisa

love the cover of for what it’s worth. just great. got the lyrics and chords and this cover makes me want to practice more. can’t wait to hear more of their covers.

I love you covers of the songs I grew up with. You bring back a lot of good memories. Thank you for making this old guy a little happier.

GREAT! Love the Cavern Club. Love the lead guitar. Love the Harmonies. Excellent cover. Keep it up!

Great cover! That song was a hit when I was a sophomore in high school. It was a big hit among the rebellious youths I hung out with.

What a powerful performance ! Saying it again and again : Nobody does covers as riveting as Mona & Lisa .

Brilliant cover I enjoy all your live preforming shows. Marvelous guitar playing and the rest of the band sounds great keep on playing.
Good Luck from one of your American fans.

Fantastic! I enjoy the music you make very much. You ladies have such incredible talent! Thanks for the pleasure!!!!

I love the songs you girls cover, adding your version and the humanizing is awesome, plus your original songs are great love your latest video !

I love these CDs. I grew up on these songs and I’ve loved your music choices and your harmonies since I first heard you. This series done in the Cavern Club has perfect sound quality and excellent recording quality. Definitely rates 10 out of 10! For anyone who loves the sound from that era, it’s a must for your collection. Every song is a hit.

Apart from the wonderful harmonies, the lead guitar breaks are absolutely “ON THE MONEY”. I’d love to know which distortion pedal Lisa uses!

Wow! Yeah, that was a long way from wretched!

I was in junior high school, what’s called “middle school” nowadays, but I knew older people at school who were injured in the encounter with the LA Police that led Steven Stills to write that song. It has always had a special meaning for me.

I recorded a version of it, mashed with Donovan’s “Season of the Witch”, which has the same chord progression, and is also about paranoia. At the coda, one vocal is singing “Stop, hey, what’s that sound, everybody look what’s goin ‘ down”, which another vocal track is singing “You’ve got to pick up every stitch”, etc. Both in my voice, but layered.

Lovely work, ladies! My compliments to the lot of you!

A great cover of one of the few quintessential protest songs of the 20th century!

Great job playing this song!🎸🎤 This reminds me of when I was in a band in the 60’s. Back then I didn’t know if they chimed the strings or just played the notes so, I just played the notes which was easier and less chance of screwing up. lol Our play back of recordings weren’t as good as todays. I listened to Buffalo Springfield’s version again with studio headphones and I’m pretty sure they were chiming the notes because I heard one that wasn’t quite hit good. So, I always played it wrong, but I did use tremolo.
Mona⭐ and Lisa⭐ are the best!🎸🎤💖

Wow!!! Probably sounds better than the original. Great sound. That is probably the best (or one of the best) guitar solos Lisa has ever played. I was blown away. I hope If you ever play live again that you can get your drummer & bass player back. A fantastic foursome you make. Thanks for the video.

The best , was in high school at the time and just figuring it all out

Great cover of a famous song that will be played forever !

Great song. Great cover.
You both have a good feel for the music of the sixties.

Another great cover by two very talented ladies. Love listening to them plus they’re pretty easy to look at vboth cuties

Me too! In the meantime, let’s all petition to get them on Jimmy Fallon or Jimmy Kimmel, with Paul McCartney and/or Ringo Starr as regular guests, and the Twins as musical guests! I’d love to hear what these two former Beatles have to say about Why?, and especially Make Show!
