First of all, it is nice that you’re asking for comments from your fans; second, I was amazed to find you playing songs that were written and played long before you were born, and perhaps when your parents were little….. Third, as The Beatles were the idols of my teenage, I appreciate your performance a lot, you’ve got talent, you show pleasure in performing. I hope you’ll make a lot of money and create your own style tunes . Anyway, thank you for providing your work at reasonable price, I enjoy the listening very much. If you read this, I wish you success and luck. Roland

What else can anyone say…..simply amazing harmonies, range of instruments played is ridiculous and the rapport between the girls means that they make their versions of these classics look and sound brand new.
Two amazing talents….if you only buy one artist this year make it MLT.

Friday on My Mind and God Only Knows are better than the originals. Mona and Lisa bring their own interpretation to each cover they do. But please, check out their original music.

I never really was a Beetles fan, yet you girls do it so well, it took me by pleasant surprise. Your voices and your skill with your instruments blend harmoniously and well.
And you even seem to have a talent for acting! Having a daughter your age myself, I wish you both all the best as well as safety on your journey! Stay true to yourselves, and keep in close contact with your family for wisdom and guidance.

I bought the full bundle of your albums. I really like your music!! You’re both so talented and cute and I love your accent. Keep writing great music and I will buy your albums. It’s hard to believe your so young and so talented. Come to the USA please !!

I thank your dad who exposed you to great music and help cultivate your talents to such a formidable duet and carry on these Beatles tunes with such finesse. I am glad that I bought these albums and happy to see you ladies entertain many people in this generation and beyond.

I really enjoy listening to these two young women sing Beatles and some of the other old classic music. Being an old classic person myself, I really appreciate how the the twins were able to not only capture the music but also the moods and feel that their grandparents and I had when they first listened to the original music that the twins are recreating in their own voices. I especially liked the little video they made with John Sabastian singing “Did you ever have to make your mind”. My short opinion is that the twins are great and I love listening to them.

I have all three volumes and listen to them all the time. A little story for you … I was never a Beatles fan – until I heard you sing Yesterday on YouTube. So, now I’m a big fan of The Beatles, but I only listen to how you sing their songs. Lol! Thanks for providing cool music!

These albums are excellent in your renditions of classic music. Listen to the samples and you’ll be as happy as I was to purchase all three albums. These ladies are a tribute to everyone who sings these songs…great work!!

Keep up the great music…and stay groovy.

I love the harmony they have. The Beatles album I think is my favorite.

Loving the harmonies of these timeless tracks.

Searching for songs on youtube I discovered the MLT. Within 5 minutes I became a fan of your music and your performance. Great. Love the guitar-skills of Lisa and the harmony of your voices. Keep on!!!

I’m pleased and excited to have discovered the ML TWINS. I acquired Orange and Beatles and other Artists. MonaLisa Twins are most talented and their depth of melodies and harmonies are deep rooted and provide a joyful sound. Something missing in so much of today’s pop efforts. Keep going strong.

Gutes und professionelles Musik . In heutigen Zeiten immer seltener.

  16. Robert Fendt (verified owner)

Another album of MonaLisa Twins at their best, love it from beginning to end. Stunning.

  17. Rick Duncan (verified owner)

Briliant. Fun. Fresh. I just want to point out that PAULMCCARTNEY had a tough time playing AND singing Day Tripper at the same time. It’s 2 different rhythms. Similar with the riff from Drive My Car. I have never seen anyone your age master it and look like you’re having so much fun. Plus, as an American, I heard no accent to my ear until I heard you gals speak. Amazing, musical and technical. Please come tour the States.

A fantastic album from beginning to end, although it doesn’t have to if you leave it on repeat, what a talented pair these girls are, their range of skills is unbelievable, especially for those of us who can’t play one instrument, highly recommended, a true musical pleasure.

  19. Sunny Fung (verified owner)

You ladies are talented both with the guitars and vocals. The selection of songs is great to showcase some of the great hits in the 60s. I know I would enjoy it seeing you ladies perform live. However, when I playback all the tracks on my tiny computer laptop speakers I would prefer more studio production without the hall echoes or audience noise in the background. I am not a Rolling Stone fan but ” The Last Time ” is a great R&B hit to be included in your album. “God only knows” is definitely Beach Boys masterpiece and I am very glad that you do the version of that song. I would highly recommend your fans to pick up this album. Thank you and I do hope someday you will perform in Vancouver, Canada.

You are both talented, brilliant and very beautiful ! I listen in loop “This Boy” of our dear George Harrison, version that I find better than the original ! I wish you a good career because you deserve it. I’m a 64-year-old Grandpa who lives in Paris, and I never missed any Paul Mc Cartney concert when he came to Paris. As for your new album Orange, I need to listen to it again and again to discover it better but I already understood that there was a lot of creativity in it. And I hope you’ll be coming to France soon? Kisses

I love the renditions of Beatles and other 60’s artists, giving the songs a fresh feel. It’s nice that you are doing new material too and I’m liking Orange. Love the harmonies.

    Dear Mona and Lisa
You two are a phenomenon and love all the Beatle covers you do. You are super talented and cute too!
I am a big Beatle fan and bringing their music back brings me much joy in addition to some of the 60’s songs and just want to give you a big thanks and big hug. Please keep going. Love you girls!
    Best regards
    Michael

You can be really proud – really well done, with your own touch.
This kind of music will never die.
    Great praise from Denmark

I am not going to tell you about all the stories that go in and out of my mind when I lesson to MonaLisa Twins sing the songs from the past, but they are Beautiful stories to think of my High School girlfriend or my first crushes. The girls sing so good with the harmony they have and play there guitars as good as can be. A lot of the times I will sign along with them with all the songs from the past. The MonaLisa Twins are Great to have with you in the car or truck or if you are making a sandwich for lunch. When I have there music going sometimes my best friend will fall asleep. (picture) Thank you MonaLisa Twins

  25. Tom (verified owner)

These sound great and really fresh – I think its extremely rare to hear Beatles covers that actually sound (really) good, and that don’t make you want to head straight to the original! Would be interesting to hear some 70’s or 80’s covers, e.g. Blondie, Bowie, Pretenders, as well as more original material.

    Thanks!

  26. Samuel Linton

I came across the Mona Lisa Twins by accident last week while watching “This could be the Last Time” by the Rolling Stones! I clicked on their video of them playing it live and I was Mesmerized and astounded with these girls singing and playing my favourite music! I couldn’t get over how stunningly good the girls are at playing guitars! I can’t stop watching and listening to their music! it’s like a Spell has been cast on me! Mona & Lisa, that could be a great song to give a shot at! “Put a Spell on You” Creedence Clearwater version? I have never seen anyone play like the way you both do! You sound & play like the Beetles! only with great Fab female vocals! Your harmony is stunning! I also love you playing the Rolling Stones as well as your other covers of fantastic 60’s bands. Keep it up Girls! Would be great to hear you play some venue in Northern Ireland! Fantastic music! Awesome Stuff! This is music at it’s best! Great Album! A Must Have! in anyone’s collection!

The MonaLisa Twins own each and every one of these covers. My two personal favorites are God Only Knows and While My Guitar Gently Weeps but all of these terrific songs have their merits. I love Lisa’s lead guitar work throughout the album and Mona rocks the house down on Revolution. These two young women do a fantastic job covering Janis, The Doors, The Stones. Buffalo Springfield and Chuck Berry- always honoring the original version without imitating it. If you purchase the download version, you get the songs immediately and they send 3 different versions to ensure highest quality including a FLAC version. The other advantage to the download is no shipping cost: love, Love. LOVE this album!

The thing with MonaLisa Twins covers whether it be a Beatles, Beach Boys, or Rolling Stones classic, is that they take an already timeless and wonderful song, and add their own unique style and feeling making it their own that you want to hear it over and over again. Not to ever knock the original versions, but they are not just replicating, but creating something special. I think that is why so many of us just can’t get enough of their music whether it’s a wonderful original or a classic cover. It’s like when I hear Beethoven’s moonlight sonata. There are many interpretations by different great pianists, but none I like more than the great Claudio Arrau’s Moonlight Sonata. So much feeling and depth. It’s the same way with MLT and their covers for me.

In this album, MonaLisa Twins present some of their finest covers, in a unique way that bring these old greats classics back to life like they were just released brand new yesterday! Just listen to the Beach Boys “God only Knows”. I’ve heard that song a million times because it is so great, but with the MonaLisa Twins version, I can’t help but listen to it a million more times because of the refreshing style all their own. The same with the Beatles George Harrison creation “While my Guitar Gently Weeps”. The guitar licks are just absolutely delightful here as is the singing!

Friday on my Mind, This Boy, For What it’s Worth, Drive My Car, Day Tripper, etc.. the list goes on in this album. I just can’t get enough of their singing here! Superb!!!

At 71 years of age, I’m still a big Beatles fan. I really enjoy the way the two of you interpret their songs and I purchased your other albums and enjoy them all equally.

      Liebe Mona, liebe Lisa,

About the Album

MonaLisa Twins play Beatles & more” is a cover compilation of world-known songs from the 60s era. It contains a lot of Beatles songs but you’ll also find covers of the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, the Easybeats, Buffalo Springfield & Janis Joplin on the album.

“Over the last years we have built up quite a stack of YouTube videos, as well as a big live repertoire of cover songs that we perform regularly. We recorded some of them as studio versions where we were able to play more than one guitar each, sing multiple harmonies and on which Mona plays drums and percussion and Dad does the bass. For our live shows, however, we play in the classical 60s band setting with 2 guitars, drums and bass and 2 – 3 voices, sometimes joined by the Ukulele (Lisa) and the blues harp (Mona).”

Depending on the type of recording you’ll notice differences in the arrangements. There are studio recordings mixed with live performances and even some acoustic duo recordings, like Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth”.

Many tracks on the CD have been on the MonaLisa Twins YouTube channel for years, while others have not been published anywhere before. People from all over the world discovered them by searching for covers of their favorite songs and then kept following the Twins’ musical career. Maybe you’re one of them! Fans kept asking if they could buy the music somewhere. Some wanted to use them for special occasions like having “In My Life” or “God Only Knows” as their wedding song. Music teachers used our covers for their lessons, dancers for their choreographies, … So the MonaLisa Twins team finally decided to throw in this cover compilation before the girls started writing and recording new originals again.
