She’s A Woman – New Video

It was the B-Side to “I Feel Fine” …

… but never made it onto an official Beatles album – unless you count those released many years later, or “Beatles ’65” which was only an American release at the time.

We love the energy and the backbeat of this song and it’s one that the audience always liked, whether they were Beatles fans or not. Something about the way it builds, the way the chorus contrasts the quite laid-back verses … 👌

It’s a song that fit in the Cavern Club perfectly, and we hope you’ll enjoy our little take on this Paul McCartney penned song, too!

Hopefully you’re not sick of our weekly Sunday uploads yet! 😉 We’ll keep posting a few more Cavern Club clips until we’re ready to share some new music videos with you. To get access to all 28 video clips of this performance straight away you might want to consider joining the MLT Club!

Take care and stay groovy!

The San Francisco Jazz Center would be a perfect venue for you two (they support great music, no matter the genre), and you’d have an eager audience.

Great song drummer base tried to buy for what’s it’s worth both cards didn’t through

I always kinda liked “She’s A Woman” more than “I Feel Fine”. Kinda considered the 45 a double A-side.

great performance yet again, all you do is good and you enjoy it which comes across as well , keep it up

Les MonaLisa Twins ont beaucoup de talent ! De plus, elles sont très belles ! Bravo à ces deux soeurs jumelles, et évidement j’adore les Beatles ! Répondez-moi en français s’il vous plait !

Very melodic playing and singing you all pulled off on that song. The beatles would have loved you guys . Keep up the good music playing

Great cover She`s a Women every cover song you do is fantastic the singing the guitar playing and the band are brilliant. You must work very hard to sound so good.
I listen to your cover songs all the time along with your original songs thanks
for sharing them with your fans.

Good Luck

Like I said on social media, I will never get bored or tired of your submissions. I hope it spurs more interest and brings in more fans and supporters for you!
I had an old Beatles 8 track (Live At The Hollywood Bowl) from my younger years traveling around in my boogie van with our garage band (hauled our gear to and from small gigs with it) and every so often it would find its way into the tape player on the road. This song was on it, #3 if memory serves. Such memories this brings back. I played keys and not guitar back then but now I’m stoked to tackle some of these on the strings.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Great job, great song, great rendition girls. The Beatles played this when I saw them in 1966 in Cincinnati 🤗

Just like the old Beatles days
They were no 1, George
Ringo, Paul & John

Fantastic good job. We have a cover band here in Brazil. The Fines e Danadoes with very musics from The Beatles and we play this song .

I’m sure I’ve seen them on Y/Tube, they were ok. but they didn’t really sound like the Beatles, so there’s s/thing to learn here because the MLT are women and yet their sound is very much like the Beatles.

I will have to retrieve my original 1960s 7” single from the attic and play it again! Great song!

Great job with a very cool song. High discipline needed for the rhythm guitar on this one. The tendency is to run with it, but you do that steady beat very well. Enjoyed it immensely. On replay now, of course.

I’m not a musician but I agree 100% Lots of bands doing covers get caught up in their own euphoria and through lack of discipline lose either the strict mechanical like beat that governs the tempo or the other instruments lose the connection with that ‘beat’ and waver into doing their own thing!
That’s why the MLT. are so good, they learned their skills very early, had the benefit of a sound engineer as their dad and consequentially gained a few ‘breaks’ This then put them in contact with a lot of notable ppl. in the industry.

Very nice cover of She’s a Woman! I always enjoy listening to you twins!

Love the videos from your Cavern performances. You both have a real feel for 60’s/70’s material.

Just love these Cavern video. I would have loved to have been at the gig.
So want to see you play live.
Thanks, Jeff

“Shocking”.

A reference to the scene in HELP! when this great tune was part of the ‘plot’.

I absolutely love the early videos of you playing at the Caravan, You really showcase your talent doing early Beatles and British 60s rock. Not many artists can do that. Keep on keeping on and “Stay Groovy” We need a USA tour specifically the Dallas Fort Worth area.

Good video. Lots of energy. As far as the song not being on an Official Album. Beatles ‘65 was released in the US & Canada as the North American alternative to Beatles for Sale. It sold over 2.3 million copies. Seems pretty major to me. I have read that in the UK they were not too keen on putting Singles on LPs, whereas here in the States it was a common practice.
The Sunday videos are great, so keep sending them. Thanks. Cheers, Bobby S.

The twins were so good live on stage! If I had known that, I would have made the trip to England to be there at least once. This song is one of my “listen to often” favorites from that special performance.

I never heard “She’s A Woman” before I heard your awesome version, you made it all your own for me. Thank you so much for opening my eyes and ears to so many fabulous lesser known gems in your brilliant covers. I love those guitar sounds right from the get go, and your vocals are perfection to the energy and vibe. I love when Lisa say’s take it away Mona, boy does she with those awesome guitar licks. Superb musicianship, all so tight, the whole live album sounds like it could have been recorded in the studio, that’s how good you are live on stage. The Live At the Cavern album, jam packed with superb golden gems, is a must have for any Rock and Roll lover. 👍 😀 🧡

This is one of my favorite Beatles tunes. You guys rocked it. I’ll never get tired of your Sunday videos

Great Job Ladies! One of My favorites of the early years!
I wish it was played more often!

I like singing along with this one but I usually sing “My lover, she’s no present. My love don’t give me pheasants”. Lol, I know I’m a little goofy. Great song though, one of the unsung gems on the CC Cd.

Another stellar Beatles cover of the kind you two do so very well. Appreciate the period instruments, too.
One observation, if I may. You note that “She’s A Woman” appeared on Beatles ’65, “an American release.” With all due respect, it was a “North American” release. We Canadians share a Beatles pedigree with our U.S. neighbours. In fact. some of the very earliest Beatles Capitol material was released first in Canada.
Thanks for the great music, theirs and yours.

Yes Ian, you tell ‘em. Beatles ‘65 was a major official album for many. It sold more than 2.3 million copies. Thanks. Bobby S.

It’s a pity (I humbly think) that “Dear MONA” doesn’t do the lead vocal more than she has been doing so far.

And she’s very pretty and “sweet” as well, by the way 🙂

Love MY ML Twins, the harmonies and joy they spread are sorely lacking and desperately needed. Cute AND talented!

Awesome performance. Great lead guitar. I’d like the cymbal miked (ala Ringo), gives the bridge atmosphere. Thanks!
