Destination Sunrise – New Video

A new music video is here! If you follow us on Social Media or read our last newsletter, you might remember that we spent some time in Iceland last month to celebrate our 30th Birthday. Well, we weren’t only celebrating but also busy shooting our next music video! 😉

To us “Destination Sunrise” from our album WHY? always felt like it could fit in a road movie. So when we started planning our recent campervan trip across Iceland, we knew we wanted to use the opportunity to film a video for this song during our trip.

This is the result! Our journey across the beautiful, rugged, wild, and breathtaking island … all while heading to one place: Destination Sunrise!

We are looking forward to seeing you in the comments, here on this post and on YouTube, and hearing from you all! Please feel free to share the video far and wide and don’t forget to check out the Studio Scribbles art prints below ♥

100 Studio Scribbles available

You can pick up one of 100 Studio Scribbles for the song “Destination Sunrise”!

High-quality art prints of the handwritten lyrics to the songs printed on 350 gsm silk smooth A4 paper.

For the design we used some memorabilia and receipts collected during our Iceland trip and other travels. As always, we printed hundred of them, numbered (1-100), and signed them all. So, the quicker you order, the lower the “serial number.” 🙂

Big hugs to you all, we’ll see you in the comments!

Say groovy,
Mona & Lisa

  1. Mona & Lisa,

Yesterday I was cleaning 2 horns of mine & I had a small stack of new CDs I hadn’t listened to yet. I put the “WHY?” CD with them, even though I’ve heard it many times. I decided to listen to the first 4 Tracks from every CD to get a feel for them.

When I put on “WHY,” I had to play the whole thing, because EVERY SONG is a Gem, & every one is different! I was completely happy humming or singing along to each song.
Even without watching the videos, I feel that each song is a WORK of ART, and I never get bored with repeated listening!

If you don’t have the “WHY?” CD yet, you’re missing out on hearing each piece in order, & it’s like hearing a great “Musical Suite!” I just had to share my experience here!
And the “Destination Sunrise” Video, along with all 3 Vlogs is sensational! (Jus’ Sayin!’)

I also recently bought the “Destination Sunrise” signed Art Print, which I’m going to have framed!

  2. I have and love the album. And this track is a massive fave and permanently implanted in me. With respect, the vid coulda been better, but luckily I’m very fondly familiar with every location so well done, thank you – more more more! 💕😁💐💐

  3. Once again, a brilliant video to accompany your fantastic voices.
    Well Done!!!
There is a tone and quality in both of your voices that make you pause, in whatever you are doing, and Smile.
Thank you for making a good day even better👏👏👏

  4. Really great photography… seemed like you even brought your drone to catch the running sequence on the beach from above. As always, I love that you bring the local animals into the project and show their uniqueness. You girls bring your hearts along with your music every time and the result is just joy to the viewer. Thanks for your visual insights to Iceland.

  5. As always Mona and Lisa, perfect! Love the different shots and the Music is off the charts!! You always deliver your best. Thank you and love the video.

  6. Enjoyable creative video. I almost bought the album but discovered i already bought it. By the way, which of you is turning 30? Seeing you drive on the correct side of the road was worth the price of admission. I almost wrote “drive on the right side of the road,” but that would have been a bad pun. Youz guyz continue to make great music!

  7. Great vidéo ! Was in the north of Sweeden a few weeks ago, and it reminds me the mood of those nothern countries. And your music is as “joy-giving” as usual ! Thank you.

  8. Yep, we were there this time last year. Perfect MLT song for the road trip, and it brought back great memories of places we also visited, but I turned 64 (youngsters!)

  9. mona lisa twins.i love your video about iceland. i have a book “icelandic fairy tales.” you should try to incorporate some of them in your next video. i also love your song “i bought a politician” i hope it sells a lot of copies.there once was a chicago blues musician j.b. lenoir who wrote a song” eisenhower blues” about the high taxes. you should do a cover of that song.i love all of your songs.

  10. Iceland! There’s no place like it in the world! I particularly enjoyed seeing the both of you “au naturale” and in the wild! Refreshing! Thanks!

    1. Paul–please, do tell us more of the ‘au naturale’ of which you speak. Inquiring minds want to know–it’s For Science, of course.

  11. Love the vid and the song. Really like the modern mix of 60’s vocal styles with todays’ more agressive lyrics and music.

BTW. I’ve often thought of the tiny duckling you had adopted for a bit. What became of the little squirt anyway.

Finally, back to music. I really enjoy the outtakes from the Cavern Club.
I wish I had been old enough for those gigs, watching the band develop over time.
But, we got to see you two young ladies grow and develop as artists and as women.

    Good Luck ladies.
    Thom.

  12. Superb video, in all aspects , definitely one feels alongside this journey , throughout, perfect setting, vibe for this particular song , everything intertwining and complimentary … Stellar stuff in abundance, am sharingthe YT link for it, onto my Facebook page , indeed …

I can only screenshot and virtually enjoy the Art Scribble for this as much as I’m Wishing I could afford to buy one but just can’t… Although I love the creativity that was put into it … it captures the essences of the song spot on artistically pleasing visually, Thankyou for doing the video, the accompanying Scribble Artwork Print…

    Inspiring, Positivity-fied, #MLTBuzzLuvGroovified All The Way 😊🤘😎👍👏⭐👌💯💣💥

  13. “Heading out to make dreams…” Love those lyrics. It is the quintessential song of adventure and free spirit for me. The guitar work is brilliant from the outset and throughout with that good ole rock and roll feel and wonderful guitar sounds, and the gorgeous harmonies evokes the passion and longing for freedom and wonder of being alive in this beautiful world. They don’t make amazing rock and roll songs like this anymore, with superb guitar work and incredible harmonies, thank you Mona and Lisa, you are true music legends. The video with the beautiful back drop of Iceland perfectly aligns with the song, superb videography and story-telling. I feel like I’ve been to Iceland. Top notch drone piloting too. I love everything about this video and song.

  14. If I was a 72 years old cynical man I would think the video was a way of claiming some, if not all, of the costs of your jaunt as a tax deductible business trip. However as I am not cynical …
    Love the video.
BTW, if I’m wrong about the tax deductible bit you need a new accountant 🤣😎

  15. GREAT vid! You obviously enjoyed yourselves immensely, and I’m happy you experienced such a lovely country together! Gorgeous scenery and horses(both with and without beautiful young ladies astride), so much to see! So many standout moments in the video, but I think my favorite split-second of footage is Lisa’s little “HEY!” In the vanity mirror. Being rural at heart, I happily noticed the momentary glimpses of a modern tractor and big square baler in the background and other farm scenes, too. One question: Since Rudi wasn’t there with you, and you both appeared in some of the drone shots, were you able to program the drone to circle you and shoot vid, or did someone run the drone for you in those shots? I hope this YouTube release gets the views and recognition this amazing original richly deserves!

  16. Magnificent! Iceland was the perfect backdrop for this song. Always loved this song, especially the harmony singing . The landscape looks great and so fantastic you caught a sunrise over the hill perfect The closing shot is brilliant. Well done
