We just uploaded a new video!
While we’re hibernating in the studio, working on new original recordings, we wanted to share an acoustic Beatles cover with you, which we recorded as part of The Duo Sessions album we released last year.
“I’m Looking Through You” from one of our favourite Beatles albums “Rubber Soul”, adapted for 1 guitar, 1 banjo and 2 vocals. Hope you like it!
We adore this song. There is something about its brutal honesty paired with a rather sweet and innocent sounding melody and arrangement. On almost all levels, these lyrics have never been more relevant than these days.
To watch ALL 15 of the Duo Sessions from our album + 6 news ones from “Season 2”, please consider joining the MLT Club here.
Calendars are back – pre-order now!

Since last year’s wall calendars had sold out within a couple of days, we decided to make some again for 2022. They’ll be shipped out at the end of the month but to secure one for yourself already you can pre-order now!
Take care, groovy folks, and stay beatley,
Mona & Lisa

A 6 string banjo – tuned as a guitar! BRILLIANT! NEVER would have thought of that. Also, just noting that the source album is displayed in these videos is not lost on me, and I dare say anyone else. You guys are the best thing that’s happened to music in decades.
Mona and Lisa, once again FANTASTIC !!
Can’t stop watching and listening !
Love the song and love your voices.
Solid performance! And that 6 string banjo, very cool.
The duo sessions are great!
This is a fantastic cover.
Oh, those harmonies, only twins can do that ! Superb original interpretation of a great song. When I first heard that track, I think in 1965, I loved it. Ladies, you have brought it to life again with your unique twist on The Beatles. What a joy.
Superb playing and singing on a great song! Love the banjo guitar work!
I’m a big Beatles fan and this is a grand rendition!!
What a joy your music is! I loved these songs as a teenager and you have brought them back to life and moved me to tears. Thank you.
You guys are just so darn good. I’ve enjoyed all of your music but this song in particular. Way to go ladies!!

A great reinterpretation, and I like the sound of that banjo.

Excellent cover version of The Beatles I’m Looking Through You. Also looking forward for the MonaLisa calendar that I recently ordered.

As always, another magnificent cover which you make your own. Love your arrangement with quality delivery and musicianship.
Ladies once again you refresh old favorites! Love your take on this!
Love your singing, and music, have a few of your albums.
Always refreshing to hear you!
Love it. You two just get better and better all the time. Thanks for the gift.
Fabulous!!! The banjo is awesome as are your vocals and harmonies!
Hi ladies once again a great version of a great song
Respect as always
George
It would be great if Paul McCartney and the two of you could somehow get together at the Cavern Club in the future. I’ve read he appears at the Club once every two years or so when he comes to visit Liverpool. What a fantastic venue that would be!!
Nice song what ever you play it sounds great, your big supper stars in the music world.
just keep doing the 60`s music no one does them better than you two. put you videos on
you tube so all can enjoy them
Ever since one of my older brothers introduced me to the music a number of years back, these two young ladies continue to impress with their playing, and singing. Being a huge Beatles fan, the covers show just how timeless the songs were. Bravo!!
Love your videos and CD’s. I remember a lot of the songs on your albums as I am old enough to know them. It is nice to be able to understand the words which a lot of groups today you cannot. When are you coming to America?
I love this song. I have the albums and they’re all brilliant. I love the Cavern sets, they’re wonderfully interpreted and expertly performed
Brilliant as ever – thank you. I have the albums and they’re all inventive, well interpreted and wonderfully performed. I especially love your Cavern sets
Great version of this Beatles classic. Banjo! Six string banjo?
where’s that great banjo sound?? covers don’t have to be close to the original!!
Great six string banjo, did Beatles use it?
I’m looking throught you, very nice. Another Jane Asher inspired MCCartney. Six string Banjo sounds fantastic- did Beatles use it?
Your success is well deserved. Have been listening to you for many years (maybe since you started). I always love your Beatle covers, they are always perfection.
To me? No one and I mean no one covers the Beatles better than Mona and Lisa. They capture the essence of the song and do not take away from the original but add new life and make it sound absolutely perfect. Mona does a great job as lead and Lisa does brilliant work with guitar riffs and back up vocals. Does not get any better than this to me. Thank you Mona and Lisa for sharing with us and god bless you both
Bill and Maddie Isenberg Huge fans from Pittsburgh PA USA
It’s true, sometimes the cover is better than the original. Case in point.
Hello from Sweden very good cover of a Beatles song
The rumor was that Paul wrote this about then girlfriend Jane Asher. Mona’s voice is perfect for this song, you always pick the right one to sing lead. Always mixing it up, the lead guitarist playing percussion, and the percussionist playing the main guitar part.
Nice-looking banjo! But it doesn’t sound like a banjo. It sounds just like the riff on the original Beatles track, but somehow I don’t see George Harrison playing banjo! Can you tell us more about this instrument?
I have the same question. I won a 6 string banjo and they are tuned the same as a guitar; sometimes called a banjitar. However this one sounds so different. Much better.
should say “I have a 6 string”
Banjitar – what a great word! I’ve never heard of it. Guitanjo? Maybe not!
Excellent…..
Wunderbar! Ein Lennon-McCartney-Song und die Twins: Besser geht einfach nicht Ich kann diese Musik immer und immer wieder hören. Gratulation zu diesem neuen Kunstwerk.
That was wonderful ladies. I always look forward to your performance’s
Made me happy. Great sounding banjo, I couldn´t have guessed, and so nice with the LP cover behind.
Excelsior! I like watching your duo sessions vids twice. It’s like a second piece of chocolate without the guilt.
Another superb cover of a Beatles track, the vocal and sound is spot on and the Banjo adds an interesting element. Will you ever play the Cavern again ?
So what next – would love to hear you cover some tracks from the Get Back era – I’ve Got a Feeling, I Me Mine & Don’t let me Down will do for starters 🙂
Brilliant – as usual! Please come to Kent!
That’s given me a real lift this morning. Thank you ladies! A lovely performance once again.
By the way, I really enjoyed “I bought myself a politician” when I heard it the other day. Wonderfully freshI
You both are great! I enjoy the 60’s covers because they were my songs in high school. I also love your original songs. You are very talented. You make an old man smile.
Thank’s to you, the Beatles are still alive. And more over, you add your personnal touch of joy to it. What else ?
I love this song and I really love your version. Thank you. LOVE LOVE LOVE

When do you hit Denmark ? 🙂
Waow, great version….as usual. You make my day!
Superb version of an overlooked track.
One of the Beatles grossly underrated LP tracks, and you have absolutely nailed it. Brilliant, girls. Your voices, the acoustic Epiphone and that 5 string banjo……….perfection!
Brilliant!!!
I am always on YouTube watching and listening to you guys, a great track above, but hey it is The Beatles.
Vous êtes superbes ! Je vous aime… Vive les Beatles, je les adore ! J’adore leur musique… Continuez à interpréter les chansons des fabuleux Beatles !

Love how much fun you girls have. Thank you. This was really a treat.
love you love the sound.
Very, very nice.
Beautifully done, ladies, with sharp harmony! On a side note, I noticed a couple of dimples showing at times which you both share on the right side of your faces — very cute!
One of my favourites from Rubber Soul and MLT Duo Sessions album! Always loved the cool guitar sounds of this song. Mona’s lead vocals are awesome, and love Lisa’s playing on the banjitar. You capture the raw feel of the song so elegantly, outstanding! I adore your version of this song! 🙂
Very good cover, interesting use of a banjo
Girls! You 2 never disappoint!
KeepOnKeepinOn!
A fantastic cover , more please ladies , fantastic .
A great cover version , brilliant !
Absolutely Wonderful! Using the banjo to stand-in for the electric guitar was Brilliant, and your playing/vocals is lovely to hear. What a stellar tribute this is!!! Thank you, ladies!
Mmmwahhh ????
Great job. The banjo works so well.
I love you guys … I’m a 65 year old musician and Beatles aficionado… and your work is exemplary… if you ever play in Northern CA. let us know we would be honored to go see you! PS I have bought your stuff since I first heard you…all my loving and respect!
Once again, and as always, you give honor and respect to another great song. When you record a Beatle song, it’s more than a “cover”, it’s a tribute. I appreciate so much how you recognize the value of Beatle music, and other music of that time period, such as Bus Stop, another diamond stellar performance and video by you two. I ask the God who gave you your talent, to bless you and keep you, and to draw you both to Himself, through the power of His Holy Spirit. I am glad that you, and I, are alive on Earth at the same time. I would hate to have missed you.
Wonderful. Just posted to 400+ 1968’ers.
The banjo really works. Great idea!
I wonder if they know of of the two different versions of the intro lick?
Very nice rendition of this Rubber Soul number! Looking forward to more Rubber Soul songs, ladies.
