June – New Video

June is now over…

And we wanted to bid it farewell with this live version of “June”, an original tune off our debut album ‘When We’re Together’.

As promised last week, we are going to post a few more videos from our 100th Cavern Club performance that until now have only been available to MLT Club members.

So, expect a new newsletter in your inbox every Sunday for the next few weeks! 🙂

We are currently working on several new projects, music videos, and new recordings but will keep posting more live performances from the archives until we’re ready to share the newer projects that we’ve been working on lately.

We hope you all had a great June and wish you an even better July ahead ♥

Just saw the video – June ((live at the Cavern Club) it’s one of my favorites, great sound & presentation.

Makes me feel like the 60’s and 70’s when I think popular music was at it’s zenith.

the only group that sing the Beatles songs ( and ilove the Beatles ) better than they did, other songs are brill, i am 71yrs old, and would LOVE to meet the girls just to say thank you for the music, best ever. xx

Ah – brings me back to around 1961 early Beatles – what a breath of fresh air beautiful song played and sung like a spring day.

This ‘ Fix ‘ sounds much better. June (your song) brought me to purchase your 1st CD – it sounded & still sounds so good.

I have a special place in my heart for this song. I have always loved it since I first heard it. My lady and I had our first date during the week of Christmas 1971. I proposed to her in April. We were married on June 2, 1972.

beautiful song, beautiful girls, great performance.
Love you since the day I first heard you.

This song totally hits the spot.
Paul McCartney would love this…send it to him and I’d wager he’d reply positively.

Well done! Sounds like a Cliff Richard hit to me! Complete with ready-made Hank solo and great background parts for the twins.

Peter Asher

Well worth fixing the link… 👍
So, was this recorded in the 60s 😉
Really good

loved it but think the rickenbacker would have been my choice of guitar it would have put the beatles swing to it,my regards to mona whom I wrote a song about

A fine complement to the charming video that you filmed about 10 years go in the (Austrian?) countryside before you decided to take a big risk by moving to the UK. Your risk seems to have paid off. You are certainly releasing excellent music.

It is so refreshing to hear good music coming out of the Twins in a generation where there is so much repetitious garbage being promoted by the current music industry. Pleasant, melodic, innovative chord changes intertwined with an interesting rhythmic structure…keep up the great work. Maybe the rest of the world will finally wake up one of these days.

Beautiful music and & both of you are beautiful ❤️ as well 💕 thank you both for keeping timeless music alive & well & I also your own songs as well 💕 P$ l 💞 LUV the CDs,dvd 🗝️ key chains pictures, etc,& I am so glad to get your calendar 📆 ( just 💞 LUV it) wait to get the next calendar! I am so glad to have you and your family as part of my life ! Stay healthy & stay forever GROOVY!!!!!!!!! Would love to see your band playing live at the cavern club in person (that is on my bucket list )

June is such a beautiful moving song, the lyrics are brilliant, pulls at my heart strings every single time. The Live at The Cavern performance captures the soothing guitar sounds and passion and longing in the singing. The live album is jam packed with classic rock songs that will have you rocking out, all so brilliantly and passionately performed by Mona and Lisa and backing musicians. The finest live album I’ve ever heard.

So good to hear your own work. You are in some sense, some sense, better than the Beatles and you must not forget it. I’m sure Paul would agree.

Curious to know what model of Gretsch guitar you are using? Thinking of getting one for that classic late fifties/early sixties sound

Early Beatles music was just too romantic for many people – who never experienced that level of romance imo.

Oh my, your live performances always seem to be better than studio recordings! Thanks for June!

Love that song! Great lyrics and great guitar work–as usual. Thank you for lifting my spirit.

Beautiful song girls, it took me back to a happier time in my life, thank you lady’s, Peace Love and, Respect

One of my original MLT favorites!
Beautiful harmonies and guitar fills and melody; I could watch the girls play live all day!

Not too shabby. Sweet original song by my favorite Twins.
The harmony, the lyrics, the music. Nice rhythm. Beautifully uplifting “feel-good” song. Wish I was there at the Cavern Club, back in the day.
Thanks for sharing.

I love how the harmonies, the lyrics, the guitar chords and licks are a mash-up of so many great Beatles songs (which, if you go back to groups of the 60’s these styles were common, and well-loved!) Completely original in it’s own rights, the ‘Mona Lisa sound’ is the perfect fusion IMHO of everything I love about music!!! Back in rock history, I recall the Rutles were good contenders against the Fab 4 and their songs were a direct tribute to the musical trends of the times! MLT music brings me that same feeling, but with a serious edge 🙂 I loved the comedic/parody element the Rutles added to their body of work – Neil Innes was of course a highly talented and gifted songwriter/composer, many original works, many parodies.
MLT: Did you ever think about adding some comedy or parody numbers – light, not overdone, but of course tasteful, in harmony with your other music? I was so drawn in (and laughed so hard) when you did these lyrics in One More TIme:
Now I don’t know what to say
I don’t have a clue
I say “Hi, how howdoyoudodo?”
While your music is already extremely upbeat, fun, and [everything most of today’s music ISN’T] I would love to see the comedy style explored. A lot of the music is borderline parody now 🙂 I think you are already doing incredible things, and everything you have done has come out A+, 100% top-notch, you have found the perfect balance. What am I complaining about?! (Nothing! lol) I’m just one music-loving fan dropping in my 2 cents. I cannot wait to hear what you do on your next album 🙂

great song the singing is fantastic and the guitars were incredible. You have a very talented group .keep playing you delightful music.
Lou a big fan for years.

When are you coming to perform your beautiful songs in Spain?… Please try to come, you can´t imagine how many boys and also girls, are waiting for you (most of boys use to argue who is more beautiful… at home when they come to visit me I use to hear things like “the blonde one is more….” “no boy, the red haired is more sexy…” is very funny I wish I could send you a video with these conversations. But everyone agree with the idea that you are super. Thanks for you beautiful music and voices.
