About the Album

When We’re Together” is the MonaLisa Twins’ debut album with original songs. It was the first time they really got into songwriting.

“It sure wasn’t easy at first. We played around with different chord progressions and harmonies, spent lots of time writing lyrics and arranging instruments until we, at last, came up with 11 new songs we were really pleased with.”

“When we started recording we felt like we didn’t quite achieve the sound we were looking for, and it took us a while to figure out what we needed to get it “right”. After several attempts to create that perfect sound with the gear we already owned, we finally gave up and invested in some amazing vintage guitars and recording equipment … that was the icing on the cake!”

The MonaLisa Twins wanted to make every song on the album sound a little different, while trying to stick to their favourite musical elements like melodic harmonies, driving back beats and crunchy, bright guitar sounds. They used them in simple and catchy feel-good songs as well as in tracks that are strongly based on good old Rock ‘n’ Roll and Beat music. The album also features some Latin sounds and Ballads to make the album exciting to listen to.

For a debut album of originals this is a very fine album. It has a flavorful 60’s vibe to it with very interesting and catchy lyrics that will have you singing along in no time. My personal favorites are “Won’t You Listen Now”, “I Don’t Know Birds That Well”, The Wide Wide Land”, and “All About Falling In Love” but I just love to let the whole CD play through and enjoy the variety of fantastic playing and gorgeous harmonies. A great first album.

  3. Tom (verified owner)

This is the first Mona and Lisa album with their original music and it displays their talents early on.
I still listen to it often and I just purchased a 2nd copy to have as a spare.
My favorite tracks are : “When We’re Together”, “This Boy Is Mine”, “One More Time”, “All About Falling In Love”, and “I Wanna Kiss You”. But all the tracks are
enjoyable and nice to listen to.
This is a must have album.

When We’re Together is another amazing cd. I reviewed the other cd’s you have; all I can say is fantastic. Amazing voices and musicianship!

  9. Steve A. Reed

Nice, well done, thanks for all your hard work. The music of my life is really well respresented by your writing and composing. Keep up the good works. Peace

I’m thoroughly enjoying listening to the music written and produced by the ladies, and their renditions of other’s great songs.
Their musicality and feel for their instruments is superb.
Powerful playing on some, and quietly passive on others, which adds to their ability to produce great songs and equally great harmonies.
My favourite listening material wherever I go ????

  11. Hermann Fleischhauer (verified owner)

I have become big in the 60s – with “Friday on my mind” (even played in 1966 with the student band) and I love the music, like Mona and Lisa, who interpret this great, exciting and beautifully. They impress with the best musical work, in addition to their excellent singing also through a clean, appealing instrumentalization, like Lisas Leadguitar. My collection is now completed by your CDs. Clear recommendation.

When We’re Together” could easily be titled “Greatest Hits, Volume 1” (as there are more to come)! Every song is a treasure! These are stunningly powerful and memorable songs, whether they be the upbeat rockers or the thoughtful ballads/tributes. The MonaLisa Twins’ melodies, harmonies, and amazing musicianship are an absolute delight! I am overwhelmingly happy to have finally discovered their music! To Mona and Lisa and their entire team, thank you for your hard work and wonderful music!!

  13. roddy gordon (verified owner)

Well I have most of their music, covers and originals and they are now on my iPod
along with over 4000 others songs. It is always on shuffle so I get a great mix but when these two take centre stage I have stop what.I am doing grin and sing along – slows down my production but who cares -. Their musicianship, harmonies and sense of humour which comes through in their videos is top notch. It is nice to have quality music for change and not just noise. Thank you girls!

    GR8 STUFF……. Happy Music!!

The MonaLisa Twins are a most welcome breath of fresh imagination amidst today’s melodically barren music landscape. These two gals have gone to the school of self-taught melodic composition and have passed the course with flying colours. They fully understand the concept of the pop song and its key ingredients: a catchy hook, a verse, a chorus, a bridge and a well placed guitar solo. And yet they somehow make these retro, sixties styled songs feel new, fresh, and begging for another listen. This album is chock full of all of the above and more. Major earworm warning…these catchy songs will be playing incessantly in the canyons of your mind for the foreseeable future.

Hello to all, I recently bought the whole collection of the twins albums on CD, and I absolutely love every single song. Their own songs on this album and the Orange album are phenomenal. My favorite of their songs is on the Orange album, ‘Still A Friend Of Mine’, but on this album I love ‘June’, ‘Dreams’ and ‘Wide, Wide, Land’. (I just couldn’t pick only one!)
Regarding ‘June’, in the booklet that came with the CD that contains the lyrics of the songs, next to the lyrics for ‘June’ there’s a picture of Mona’s face under an umbrella. As I told the twins privately, I could not have hired an artist to paint a more perfect and beautiful face of a young woman. It’s an amazing photograph, and I would love to have a larger version to frame and hang in my home.

To me, this is my favorite album of the 15 or so I have these delightful ladies! Just simply beautiful!! Well written songs, great melodies and wonderfully performed!! I have listed to all 15 full and mini albums in the past week….this is the one I went back to…Thank you!!!

Q: Have you guys studied music in the formal, “Went to music lessons and learnt instrument techniques and notation and theory and scales and harmony and rhythm”, and all like that?

Q: Does (or did) “pappy” provide tutelage like ^^^^ that ^^^^ ?

Anecdotally speaking, your protoges (ie. “The Fab Four”) didn’t study formally, didn’t read “standard notation” and weren’t conversant in “music theory”, but they still managed to “Do Ok.”

  19. David Earhart (verified owner)

The wide, wide land is my new favorite song. I love the lyrics, the sound and the message.

  20. Mike Lyons (verified owner)

Wow! I saw the video to “this boy is mine” and was totally blown away. Great energy, wonderful vocals and talented musicians as well. I could close my eyes and see the Beatles standing beside you on stage.
Too many other wonderful songs on the album to list individually ( O.K. Wide wide land, June, Nothing is in vain, When we’re together, All about falling in love….) but the overiding appeal is the freshness and originality of the songs while giving a nod to the styles of the 60’s and 70’s.
At work Tuesday is Blues Day, then Whatever Wednesday ( a lucky dip for the music ) and the last day of the working week is ALWAYS Dylan…but now we have Monalisa Monday. Love it all, love them, stay groovy.

  21. Rick Sykes

This is the first music I heard from the MLT and immediately fell in love with them and their wonderful music. I love their harmonies, their melodies, their great guitar (and other instrumental) talents ( I could watch Mona play the drums for hours!!!!)
Lisa’s guitar solos are fantastic. This is, by far, my favorite MLT album. And my all time favorite song , Lisa’s guitar work, AND video is “JUNE” !!!! Mona looks so beautiful in that video!!!! Very nostalgic sound and overall beautiful setting!!!!! Would love to hear your parent’s thoughts about that song and video. Because I have 5 daughters, I would be very surprised if it’s not one of their favorites. Would love to hear more songs like these from you.

  22. eric vanlabeck (verified owner)

These girls are full of talent : instruments and voices are fabulous! The music they write is quality stuff ! Also they do great covers : a specaial attention should be given to : “friday on my mind” (astonishing voices) and to”bus stop” such an hilarious performance; I could not stop watching it . please carry on making music ! and “stay groovy ” !

  23. Steve Coates

Wonderful music. Talented musicians. Beautiful harmonies. And all with a 60’s vibe.

  24. Joseph Manzi (verified owner)

Hi Mona and Lisa, I am a new fan, who found you on you tube. I fell in love with your music. All the remakes of Beatles and classic songs from the 60’s are fantastic. You are doing a great job of preserving that music and turning on new generations to it. Thanks for that. I have bought all of your cd’s except one. Which I intend to buy soon. I just wanted to let you know what I felt about your cd from 2011 – When we’re together. I’m one of the people that likes the music but also the lyric’s.
By far the best music and lyric’s on the cd is Wide wide land. A very touching song. The next song I enjoyed is Dreams – Orders Borders will fade away. I love that line. The next one All about falling in Love – Great song on how we are blind to love sometimes and then it’s to late. I don’t know birds that well, was interesting and true. I want to kiss you. A fun song indeed. I also enjoyed This boy is mine.
I don’t know how old you were when you did this first cd of original music. I think you did a fine job. Some really great music and lyrics. I think the Beatles would say to John, Where are we going, And John would say to the top… The Twins are heading that way… Stay Groovy and God Bless!!

  25. Will Beard (verified owner)

This album manages to do 2 things excellently at the same time. Some songs pay tribute to The Beatles style while being true to the Twins originality, All songs show not only talent but a love for what they are doing, well worth the time to hear. I recommend ordering 2 copies, one for the house, one for the car.

  26. David Dow (verified owner)

Mona and Lisa, best wishes to you and family; thanks much for sharing your talents on discs and other media! It’s a real treat to hear and see you having fun making music together.
I will pick a favourite from your Together memories: “The Wide, Wide Land”. Thanks for sharing memories of your Grandmother in such a way.
Knowing the CD was recorded almost a decade ago now, my only critique is that some of the sound seemed a bit distant and not as clear as on the YT platform, but the harmony, teamwork and musical skills come through just fine.
    Stay groovy & healthy!

  27. Kenwyn Whitford (verified owner)

My first listening to “When We’re Together” I thought ‘Oh, this is the cute Mona Lisa Twins from an era long ago’, but as I put it on a continuous play on the computer there began an awareness to me that there is some meat to these song, these girls (lady’s . . . I don’t know. I’m too old to care.) have a VERY substantial listening/playing ability of chord structures, harmonies (really fun to listen to) and that ability to make me aware that music can be fun still. Here in the states the music scene is dismal too say the least, with a sameness so duplicated that there is no individuality any longer. I attribute that to the music industry as much as anything. I know they have the attitude of pushing out there what is hot and what sells, but the Mona Lisa Twins capture an ember on “When We’re Together” that then hearing “Orange” you can’t wait until more.

Please keep it going. Don’t get discouraged of playing “virtual gigs”. We’re all hoping this virus stuff will soon be a bad dream.

Oh and most of all, “Thank You” for doing what you are doing. Its never in vain.

  28. Jeremy (verified owner)

So I felt compelled to by “Orange” as I was cheating and listening to tracks on line so I thought, why not get the earlier CD as well? They may have been 16 when recording it but it can’t be all bad for that. Its a right good record I have to say. Very uplifting and enjoyable, excellently produced (but you would expect that with a father like theirs). My only negative? Too much synchronised singing – something Orange doesn’t suffer from. I do like to see the original originals performed on the videos now they have both grown older and better and more polished. I wouldn’t have bought this if it wasn’t in the bundle so good job it was.

  29. Geoff Hart (verified owner)

I now have all 8CDs. I am 69 years old, and the girls make me feel 16 again.
I never thought I’d say this, but I really believe they are “Better” than the Beetles were. And that’s saying something, is it not?
    ❤️You girls, please don’t go away. ?

  30. Keith Molholm (verified owner)

I absolutely loved the “When We’re Together” Album CD! What a wonderful collection of beautiful music, masterfully arranged with outstanding singers with such beautiful harmony and superb guitar play/arrangements.

This album has something for everyone. With a couple of kick butt Rock N’ Roll songs “This Boy is Mine” and “One More Time” it truly took me back to a different time. There are also some fun upbeat songs as well as some beautiful ballads which I really enjoyed.

This is simply a wonderful collection of diverse songs that I never get tired of listening too over and over. Thank you Mona and Lisa for this masterful collection of beautiful and enjoyable songs.

  31. Ken Sheller (verified owner)

What i especially like about the Mona Lisa Twins is the harmonic arrangements.

  32. Kevin Schotzko (verified owner)

I just received “When We’re Together”. Great job on these original songs. I really liked June and Nothing Is In Vain. Please do not change, simply do more originals and covers. Don’t sign with a major label or sell out – you are too good for that and far too talented. May I suggest a cover of Warmth of the Sun by the Beach Boys, with your own special arrangement. Keep up the fabulous work, I will will watch for the next offerings. Stay groovy!

  33. Volker Nebel (verified owner)

As written by others, this is really flawless and very good music. What I love most about the music of Mona & Lisa, are the melodies, that fit so very well with the harmonies, and the sometimes surprising and refreshing harmonies. I love themusic and the texts they write! Compared to their next album with their own compositions, I find this more blues-like, more grounded.

  34. Barrie Schulha (verified owner)

Super Congratulations to you both. This Cd is a masterpiece. You are incredible singers and great guitar players too. You can feel your passion for music coming out of the speakers. This Boy is Mine and One More Time sound like they could have been written by Lennon & McCartney. Just amazing. The Wide Wide Land and I Don’t Birds That Well are just beautiful beautiful songs. But start to finish this album is amazing. When I ordered the Cd I got the download as well. Went on a trip through the Rocky Mountains and listened to the whole Cd about 10 times in a row. Heard something new each time I listened to it. Magical. So tonight I just put in my order for your complete collection of 7 albums. I have a feeling it is going to be one of the best purchases I have ever made. It is so nice that great musicians like Donovan, John Sebastian, etc are giving you such kind compliments.
Wishing you great happiness and success.

After listening to many of your “Beatles & More” videos, I purchased CD’s Vol 1-3. Next, I listened to your original songs and guess what? I liked your original songs and purchased the “When We’re Together” and “Orange” CD’s.

Keep making great music and videos.

I recently saw an interview with Paul McCartney. He is still occasionally plays at The Cavern Club. I hope you have had the opportunity to see him.

  41. Frank (verified owner)

While there were no surprises on “When We’re Together” (having already heard them all on-line), I greatly enjoyed being able to add the songs to my mix at work and in the car. I am a big believer in “voting with my dollar”, so I am happy to support MLT in the best way – by purchasing your excellent product. The bonus items are fun and appreciated, but not as much as the original music itself.

I had forgotten that rare feeling I used to get long ago when I first heard new music that was so enjoyable and powerful that I couldn’t stop playing it. Well, HERE IT IS!!! Beautiful, strong, original, “stay in your head” wonderful! Thank’s Mona & Lisa for the pure JOY!

  44. William Teeters

I have never heard such a great debut album, ever. This album rivals anything I’ve ever heard.

  45. Ed Brown (verified owner)

I think I can speak for almost all serious music fans in stating that there are times when we can stop and think of moments when we have heard an album that not only made a huge impact but actually changed our musical journey and life in general. I personally can name a few times growing up when this has occurred – Hearing Pet Sounds for the first time, experiencing Sgt Pepper and all the color both musically and visually, taking a trip to the Dark Side of the Moon with Pink Floyd. I can absolutely say that Mona and Lisa’s debut album “When we’re together” is the first time that feeling and enthusiasm has happened to me in quite some time and how amazed I was because I was not sure if that would ever happen again!

I originally had found the girls on You Tube while searching for alternate versions other than the Beach Boys of “God Only Knows”. I was so impressed by not only the talent shown on the video but also the reverence and respect that they paid to this classic that it sent me to their channel to see what else they had out there. Since this was a little more than a year ago I not only discovered all of their wonderful Beatle covers but also was able to watch all of the complete videos from their debut album. I was completely knocked out! I mean completely! I quickly found their website, signed up to their mailing list and ordered a copy of their original CD. I could not wait to contact my friends about this new treasure I had found! It was really one of those moments!

Not only are the songs on “When we’re Together” completely catchy with instant hooks that really grab you, but the sound and performances are amazingly fresh and make you feel great. Mona and Lisa make their love of the 60s sound thoroughly their own with each tune being completely original. Their happiness and energy blasts through the speakers leaving you wanting more.

Think of the albums that are on your list of all time favorites, and if you would like to make room and add a new one at the top, I highly recommend checking this one out and experiencing “one of those moments”. There is nothing like it being made today by anyone (except of course for their newest release “Orange” which is their next step in amazing-ness)!!!

    It is that good!! 🙂

    When We’re Together

I discovered MLT a few short months ago on YouTube, just in time for the launch of their second album, Orange. After being suitably impressed with Orange, I enthusiastically bought When We’re Together. As the first album of their own material, MLT make their mark as capable songwriters, not just a great Beatles cover band. While clearly being influenced by rock and roll from the era, they’ve successfully sculpted their own sound. The album crosses over into the genres of Latin, Folk and Pop, with some psychedelia thrown in for good measure. Using their trademark wonderful harmonies, When We’re Together is a strong start to what is sure to be a lengthy career of great albums!

  47. Allen Martin (verified owner)

I just recently discovered (by a very lucky accident) the MonaLisa Twins on YouTube, and while I’m a bit bummed to realize what I’ve been missing out on, I couldn’t be more excited that I did. In truth, I am more excited by the MondLisa Twins than I have been by any new artist in years… possibly ever.

As for the ‘When We’re Together’ album, I don’t think I could put into word just how much I LOVE it – but I’ll try. 🙂 Out of the hundreds of albums that I own, I could probably count on my fingers the ones on which I love EVERY single song. ‘When We’re Together’ is in that very select number. To say that there isn’t a bad song on it is an understatement. It plays like a ‘greatest hits’ album and better than most of those that I’ve ever heard. If the MonaLisa Twins ever DO make a greatest hits album, I would NOT want to be the person who has to decide which one of these tracks to leave off of it!

I would also like to add, regarding this purchase itself… I bought the CD directly from the site here, and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. It was quickly processed and shipped, particularly coming overseas, and the packaging was awesome! The cd was bundled with a MonaLisa Twins orange guitar pick, ballpoint Pen, Orange Stickers and postcards! It really made me feel appreciated as a customer. 🙂 I will DEFINITELY be coming back for more!

Waiting For The Waiter off their new album ORANGE was released a short time ago. This is some SERIOUS BLUES. This is a sound you would expect on Beale Street (Memphis)or at Preservation Hall (New Orleans) Orange promises to be something that dreams are made of.
Just imagine for a moment a musical collaboration among 3 legends and a sound for the ages. All Original songs Musical talent unsurpassed in today’s market. Wouldn’t that be a dream album?
Well it is possible, ORANGE BY THE MONALISA TWINS is just that album. The 3 legends that I spoke of….. Mona And Lisa and the legendary John Sebastian. This album is going to be huge like nothing before it. These extraordinarily talented ladies are going to explode in to orbit.

  49. Taco Van Popta

i just placed an order for the new album ,,orange,,. i hope it,s just as good as ,,when were together,, Mij favorite songs
from that album are ,, the wide wide land,, and ,,all about falling in love,,.

I wish there were more stars. Actually there are two more. MONA AND LISA!
Such a beloved album at such a young age. The MonaLisa Twins are going you go as far as they want to go. They are seriously talented and have that style of the 60’s that is unmatched in today’s market. There new album promises to be a smash!

  51. Claude Biarritz (verified owner)

I loved this album since day one, can’t wait for the next one

  52. Unknown Member

We all have favorite songs but after a while they are get boring, except a few. I would say the MonaLisa Twins album is one such phantastic exception. Could listen to their songs for hours and not getting tired of them. I’m bowled over such talent at such a young age. Will pass the message on. I’m so looking forward to buy their new album. I have a feeling it will awe-struck me again.

  53. MF

I bought ‘When We’re Together’ at the after event party of Blackpool Comic Con (some weeks before writing this review).

Could listen to the album time and time again – and do! Been a long time since any artist(s) made material that engaged me so much that I wanted to listen to it over and over.

Though I had my ‘teens’ in the 80s, our house was always full of music from the 60’s. As others have noted, The Mona Lisa Twins own material (as on this album) is very much influenced by 60’s music, Beatles, rockabilly, rock and modern styles. That ‘said’, this album is truly for any music lover.

Thanks to the twins and all that must have worked so hard to bring us this wonderful album.

  54. John Bagdonas

This has to be the first album I’ve been able to listen to from start to finish without having to skip a song since “Band on the Run”. Lisa and Mona Wagner, 20 year old twins from Vienna Austria, have released their first album of all original material. They, along with their dad Rudolph (a combination of Brian Epstein and George Martin), wrote, arranged, recorded, produced and released on their own private record label a collection of ten songs that not only recreates the best of 60’s music, but with their own added magic touch to make them sound as fresh and new as anything available today. Unforgettable melodies, beautiful ballads and rockin’ rollers are all here. Thank you dad for introducing the girls to the best music of the 20th century and the freedom (by way of having your own private recording studio) to allow their amazing talent to flourish without any interference from the ‘big boys’ of the music pindustry! If you love sixties music, but with a modern twist, this album is a must for your collection. And don’t forget to watch the videos (7 of the 10 songs available as of this time) on YouTube. Thank you Monalisatwins for regenerating my love of music!

    • Frank Caruso

Well said (re: skipping songs). I find myself doing this too often, even on so-called “…Greatest Hits…” albums. Not so on “When We’re Together” – it may be one of the best albums I’ve ever heard.

  55. Cecchinir

Wow, every song on this album is a hit! Their lyrics, harmonies, and guitar playing goes way beyond their (Young) years. The experiences transferred by their music to the listener is magical but also refreshing; it makes me young once again.

  56. Chris Davey

Having bought your presently available albums and listened to “When We’re Together” several times now, I can’t help but be amazed at the beautiful sounds, depth, quality, ‘catchiness’, variety, atmosphere and breezy cheerfulness of these tunes! Please accept my congratulations, both to you and to the twins and to all the others that have done so much in the background to make this possible. If the world noticed talent the way it should (not as directed by huge advertising plans) then your girls would already be acknowledged as the ‘super-stars’ they really are. It may be taking a little longer than those type of organisations would expect, but I believe that the time for the MonaLisa Twins is fast approaching!

  57. George

I just have a word to describe this:
    FAB-TASTIC!

Hey girls! First of all, I’d like to congrat you for coming up with such a brilliant recording! I can listen and feel The Beatles’ influence on every song, especially those tender harmonies! Up to now, my favorite song is “June”, it has that “something” that makes me love it a lot. But well, I really like every single song on the album. Well, I’ll be waiting anxiously for a new recording. You two girls really have talent, don’t waste it! Greetings from Mexico 🙂

    • Rick Sykes

Also feel the same about “JUNE” .

Hey girls! You definitely made me smile today, because after a lot of trying I was finally able to order your new cd, and it arrived today! It’s just perfect! It looks so nice and the songs are lovely. You are so great for remembering me, and I wish you two a great Christmas season too and good luck with everything. I hope to see you some time in Holland 🙂 Love, Mandy

Sounds so much like beatles, and its great.

This is the best Beatles song the Beatles never wrote!

    • Frank Caruso

Agreed. You’re talking about “That Boy is Mine”, right? Or was it “June”? Or “One More Time”? Or… 🙂

Hello ladies. Really enjoying your debut album. So nice to hear your own songs at last. Of course, I love your cover versions but this is you and it is even better than I expected.
The most awesome thing about you both is that you are only going to get even better too. My own favourite, for personal reasons, is ‘Wide, Wide Land’. My Mum currently has the same illness your Oma had and the lyrics are really appropriate and also very optimistic at the same time.
My cousin lives in Austria and I hope that one day I can combine a visit to her family and also watch you play.
Congratulations on such a confident first album.
    Simon

Ich liebe euch und ich danke euch für diese Musik!
Lasst uns doch die 60er und 70er aufrechterhalten!!!
    Grüße aus Oberbayern

It’s like female modern beatles … and I am by NO means reducing your talent to ONLY that of the beatles- There is lots of awesome sound in there from your influences, but it was very beately but MODERN so it is soo catchy for today.

You both did an AMAZING job on the album! Each song seemed to have its own unique feel to it. The intro to Nothing Is In Vain was like nothing I’ve ever heard before and the vocal harmonies on that song, along with the rest of the album were just great. In terms of songs, my favorites were The Wide, Wide Land and I Don’t Know The Birds That Well. I think you both really nailed the sound you were going for and the best thing about the songs you wrote is that they’re all going to sound great being played live!

I read so many posts that people found the MonaLisa Twins while looking for a song done by somebody else. Usually the original artist. I found them when I went to youtube to listen to the Beach Boys “California Dreaming”. I found out not too long before that that the Beach Boys did a cover on it. So when I brought it up I started looking at all the people that did covers on it. I started listening to them instead. After listening to a bunch of them I wasn’t impressed and was getting board. I was ready to quit but the next one had these two girls on the cover and they called themselves the MonaLisa Twins. I thought I would give them a try before going back to the Beach Boys. Well, I never made it back to the Beach Boys. I started playing the MonaLisa Twins video that started out with some quitar and walking through leaves then the singing started while they were walking on a sidewalk. “All the leaves are brown, all the leaves are brown” and that’s all it took. Their harmony was so tremendous that it took me by storm and I liked the girls instantly. I found all these videos they had and started listening to all of them. They didn’t know that. The first they heard of me was about 4 months later when I asked them to be friends on Myspace. Since then they did many more cover songs. Their cover songs I find to be as good or better than the originals.
When they said they were going to release a cd with all their own songs I was excited. Some time went by and then they released “When We’re Together”. I have listened to every song over and over. I like every song. “Dreams” is a nice soft song and it has great bass in it. You can hear the Beatles influence in many of the songs. “One More Time” and “This Boy is Mine” are a couple of the songs with Beatles influence. They both rock. The little yell in “One More Time” is so cool! I bet that was Lisa! Then there is “June”. Love that calypso beat! “June” takes me back to the fifties watching American Bandstand when it was in Phildelphia. I like “Nothing is in Vain” also. Great music in it! If I had to pick a song as a favorite it would be hard to do so. But, it would be “The Wide Wide Land” It has a great riff in it and about two/thirds of the way through when they kick the song in they don’t loose the riff at all. I think this could be a hit single! The acoustics and harmony they do in all the songs are amazing! They are so good!!! It’s like everything has to be so precise! Their lyrics are great! I’m amazed at how well they can rhyme words. I noticed they sang alot about boys and love. Nothing wrong with that! The girls also have great personalities that makes them very lovable!
All the best for both of you!

April.

Toi toi toi – habt mir Freude bereitet!
    Gottfried

I discovered your music a couple of years ago in the internet. I have followed since then. I have enjoyed the videos on the site, especially the more recent Beatles covers “In My Life” and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”. I have been anxiously awaiting the release of the CD. Now that it has been released, I have downloaded it, and tonight, I listened straight through. I must say that I am extremely impressed. The entire CD is fantastic. I can see the Beatles’ influence. It is so nice to see two young ladies who don’t care about peer pressure, or being part of the “in” crowd, who appreciate good music, unlike a lot of what you hear on the radio today, and who have the attitudes that you two have against drugs. You two are very talented. Congratulations on what you have accomlished so far, and I hope you both continue to grow in your musical talents and accomplishments. If you decide to make any more cover videos, I would love to hear “Nowhere Man”, “Help” and “Sounds of Silence”. Thank you so much for the musical gift you have given us all to listen to.

Hi girls! Great day! I received my cd today. What a surprise. I didn’t expect it this soon. It played perfect! I can hear a lot of Beatles influence in many of your songs. When I first heard”One More Time” I ended up having While my heart goes boom boom boom going through my head for about 3 days. So I played it first then listened to it all which I already did previously with my downloads. “June” had me jump out of my seat with the Calypso beat and I was walking down memory lane after that and went and dug this out of Youtube. It’s a Paul Anka song that he did back in the fifties which turned in to a smash hit. “Diana”! This is a more recent live version. If you want to listen that is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HcxZwfAP8M The uhh you do in “The Wide, Wide Land” Sounds like Pink Lloyd harmony. I like “Dreams” also especially the bass. I also like “Nothing is in Vain”. The truth is I like them all. You can just stick the album on and listen from beginning to end and enjoy. This morning I was on the phone talking to my sister that lives in Texas. While we were talking I tried to get her and my nephew and his wife to go to your site and press the like button and listen to some of your videos. My nephew speaks German. Just how much or how good I don’t know. I told my sister to tell him he can speak German with you two. Thank you for signing my Cd and the nice message. That really meant a lot. Have a great day! I guess yours is almost over. It’s is 7:06 PM here now. Den

Top Notch effort for their first original album, and can’t wait for future stuff ….
The instrumentation on the songs are of essences of country, retro 60s,Beatles, rockabilly, rock and modern all interwoven harmoniously !!!! Their vocals are superb and blend making a definite distictiveness that stands out 🙂
Kudos to this album, one can help but sing and dance and toe tap to it. Uplifting, emotional. It’s a keeper and a must have in your music collection . Timeless, first class all the way !

I commend both Mona & Lisa on a first class top notch effort on their first original album, can’t wait for future stuff….

Each song on the album has its own spin in the instrumentation, essences of retro , spanish, carribean, country, rock, interwoven harmoniously. One can easily find themselves dancing and singing along, because you just can’t help but do so. All songs are my favourite 🙂 Well done and Kudos 🙂
