Walking In The Air – New Video

Our annual Christmas Video is here!

Our video for “Walking In The Air”, released on our CHRISTMAS album is ready to see the light of today!

It has become a tradition for us to release an annual Christmas video to ring in the holidays (find the full playlist here) and this year we chose ‘Walking In The Air’, the song from the animated movie of the children’s book ‘The Snowman’.

You can argue whether it’s strictly a Christmas song (in the same vain as the old argument, is ‘Die Hard’ a Christmas movie?) but for us it captures the magical feeling of the season perfectly and we love putting it on during the holidays.

We ventured more into the abstract realms with the video-editing which was a nice change from cutting the live Cavern Club videos and Duo Sessions recently, which are all very much “based in reality” 😉

Have a look, hopefully it will make your day a slight bit brighter!

We’ll leave you for now and hope you are enjoying the rest of your day to the fullest. Happy 2nd Advent!

Big hugs,
Mona & Lisa

I bought the Christmas CD as soon as I heard this song, which was completely new to me. Turns out the whole CD is one gem after another. Most traditional Christmas songs make me want to say “bah, humbug!” but this collection makes me want to buy the world a cup of eggnog.

I love this song, have done for many years,.First time I heard your cover I thought, wow, that is so different and so Mona and Lisa. Still like the original but your version rocks.
so says a 77 year old rocker

Stunning video – some wonderful imagery interlaced with video of you both … inspired! Beautifully harmonised voices accompanied with some great guitar work throughout. Well done MLT xx

First Christmas season without my Dad who passed in May. It’s been a crazy hard year. But of the things I’m grateful for, discovering Mona Lisa Twins is one. Wonderful song and video. I will continue to come back to this daily throughout this Christmas season, as it brightens up my day. Sincerely, I Thank You! And Merry Christmas to you!

Very very beautiful. I knew nothing of this song or the cartoon, so I got out my Googler and watched the Frosty version. Your production in real life is done amazingly well. Now I have a Holiday favorite to add to my list. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and God Blessed New Year.

BEAUTIFUL SONG, BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHY, BEAUTIFUL MUSIC, BEAUTIFUL EDITING, BEAUTIFUL SINGING, BEAUTIFUL PERFORMANCE!!

I purchased your Christmas cd last year for my husband and I’m happy to tell you it is now my husband’s favourite CD!

I love this version! As ever, your vocals are spot on! And the video editing is awesome! I love your music, having only found you a few months ago. Keep up the great work. Stay safe and keep well.

Their playing together is such that it must be the familiar sisterly connection, with harmonies that compliment each other and are a pleasure on the ears. Obviously well steeped in the Fab Four song styles, as their covers attest to. Many people are, but few put it together as well as these darling sisters.

It wouldn’t matter, musically, but it doesn’t hurt that they are both very pleasing on the eyes, as well… 🙂

Thank you so much, awesome video! We watch the Snowman every year! Merry Christmas to you both from Cape Cod!

Just discovered the twins! Any chance to come over to the netherlands? Best regards Peter

Love it. Especially like the simple acoustic guitar and drum backing. Great harmonies. Great video effects as well. Very well done twins.

Beautifully sung as always…. You ladies always lighten up my day with peace and joy.. God Bless.

I love this song! A friend introduced me to “The Snowman” and I bought it as Christmas gifts for several friends. Wonderful melody! This is an outstanding recording! Well done, ladies.

Two beautiful ladies with a unique ability to make every song their own, amazing harmonies

A great way to enter the holiday season with captivating images supported by wonderful lyrics and music arranged for a special time of reflection in a most unusual year. Well done ladies.

Great video of one of my favourite songs off your Xmas album. As a MLT Fan Club member it’s always a privilege to be able to share comments and observations with other members.

Well I didn’t think I was going to like this, but how could I doubt!!! I like it, very much.

I like the song, but I am not impressed by the video. I the images of the various landscapes were great.

Great take on the classic Christmas song, fresh, lively, and uplifting combined with a superb video. Great work ladies really enjoyed.

I was transfixed when I first heard this on your Christmas album last year. It has sort of a country vibe and reminds me of Ghost Riders In The Sky. Thanks for making this your Christmas video gift to the world for 2020.

Brilliant version. You’ve put guitar and drums into the song so beautifully – the song will always be associated with the haunting Aled Jones vocal but you nailed it girls. Great stuff x

love you ladies…awesome sound…this was an awesome video and your song was hauntingly beautiful..i don’t believe i’ve heard it prior to this. keep up your fantastic work.

This is a song I try to sing in our little choir in Melbourne and you do it great justice.
Thanks for the enjoyment you have provided in this time of such uncertainty . Was the video done in villages of Austria?. Have a wonderful Christmas as we wait in this time of Advent. Stay Groovy

Ouvir vocês é sempre muito bom, bom pra alma, pro coração, pra todos os sentidos. E ouvir essa versão de Walking In The Air, não foi diferente. Vocês são geniais.

Absolutely beautiful. I love the harmonies and the sentiments. Very uplifting after a disasterous fall. Thank you.

that is an awesome rendition of that song,, and it does make my day brighter ,, thanks, Brian

I love you guys. So glad I stumbled across you. Not sure how that happened. Now I own all your music and it is so refreshing. I followed a group very similar to you two. Three sisters from New Jersey called the Roches. If you can find some of their stuff you will see what I mean. They no longer perform. They are close to my age (67) but you’ll see what I mean. Keep it going. LOVE.IT

Just about all your cover songs are great.Im Sorry to tell you that I wasn’t impressed with this one. Too fast too high and a long way from your best.
Sorry Girls

Amazing! You have really stepped up your game and hit this one out of the park.

Good tune. It kinda has a “Surf” style. Like it.
BTW: I’m a HUGE proponent of MLT doing more surf tunes — Ventures, etc. It’s upbeat, happy music that fits your demeanor. Walk Don’t Run, Slaughter on Tenth Avenue, etc.

I love the video and, of course, the recording. Before hearing your version, my favorite cover of this was by Annie Haslam of Renaissance (an excellent and very different version than yours) but yours has become my favorite. I was just playing your Christmas cd two days ago, it’s in my top 5! The Happiest of Christmases and a very Healthy New Year to you both and all those you hold dear! p.s. Love the “Cavern Club” cds as well!

Wasn’t mad about it at the start until your vocal harmonies kicked in, then it’s great! Have a wonderful Christmas you two and here’s hoping for more great stuff next year! ????????

It’s lovely to find two young ladies who can sing a song that tells a ????story as they used to do in years gone by, instead of most so called artists today who can hardly string two words together and the keep repeating them. These two young ladies deserve to go far in their musical career

the Twins are Both Sisters in co-operation of Talented and Musician i have listen to 6 months but they coordinated.
i have been Listening to all their Music on Facebook.
God Bless and a very Merry Christmas — Rocky ♥️♥️.

I love you guys… I’m a 65 year old Rocker… Have been playing and giging all my life and I love that you brought this sound and ethos back… if you ever get to California let me know and I will come see you… also if you need representation or someone to out conatct me! good fortune to you!

Great Song and Video!!! The video was a really great production, well done. Congratulations to all that made it possible. The song is not one of the more popular Christmas songs in my part of the USA but, I loved it! Great job ladies and keep up the great work. I received my Live at the Cavern Club CD in the mail recently but also have the downloaded album and have been enjoying it since it was available. A DVD of your Cavern Club collection of videos would be great to!

Magical snowy wintry video! And those haunting harmonies – excellent work, all <3

I love your version! It has your own special style and the way the music races along in the background, gives it a magical feel. Brilliant! Well done girls ????????♥️♥️????????⛅⛅☃️☃️

LOVED the song, but you might wish to correct “anual” to “annual” in the header.

Everything the Twins do is better than the original regardless of who was the original artist……Mona and Lisa are the John and George of the 21st century !

Great video and great song!!! I have been following the “Twins” for a number of years and and find them to be one of the best pop duo groups around. Hopefully someday they’ll but a US tour on their calendar. If not, maybe on my next trip to Europe I’ll find them in a club somewhere. Keep singing ladies you have lots of followers here in the US.

I absolutely loved the video and the accompanying music. As always, you two young ladies knocked it out of the park. Great job.

A very nice change for both you and your listeners. Definitely recognizable voices, but nicely arranged and very nice video work. You had me and my drummer brother hooked on your Beatles covers.

I’m not going to argue whether this is strictly a Christmas song. It’s certainly not along the lines of O Christmas Tree but I don’t think that is important. I liked the rhythm and lyrics and, most importantly, it made me feel good and helped make this excruciatingly tedious quarantine period bearable. If a song brings happiness that’s as close to bringing the Christmas spirit as one can get.
another great original. Thank you.

I for one love these 2 gals They Rock. If you ever get over to the USA please let me know. I have a cousin that you might know also Eric Dover. .

Lovely Monalisa you so wonderful to listen to. Your fine voises blends so nicely.
Love you

just a beautiful song with beautiful imagery , I love everything you two do, I have always loved music, and growing up in the 60’s and 70’s I have a deep appreciation for that style and you also embrace, cover and do suck justice to that style , but your voices are so perfect, it’s almost like only twins can harmonize this well , maybe that’s just to romantic in me, but your perfect , I love everything you produce , thank you

2nd advent is when Christ appears again in glory. Advent means coming! But I still love the song and the album. You are both masters of production, with your dad. It goes for the music and composition of the video. Please make another video album!!! Love you both, Peter Olson, Monona, WI

Beginning when my now 31-year old daughters were small, we, as a family, watched ‘The Snowman’ at least once a year. Heartfelt, heart wrenching and heart lifting. Great job! (Also, fix the spelling of Annual.)

I like the MonaLisa Twins in general but, as they age, I think the “cute” attitude is becoming increasingly less attractive… Time to think about something else.

Great video Rudy you are a king and girls it’s always great pleasure to heard you sing. ❤️

I dunno…seems like Lambpi Bampi shoulda had a small appearance here. Otherwise beautifully done as always.

What a beautiful song, I love how it starts with the drum and single vocal along with a guitar and slowly builds until your full band. Your harmonies are so wonderful, as far as it being a Christmas song, well it fits for me but then Die Hard is one of my favorite Holiday movies. I have to add that The Beatles are my favorite Christmas music, I usually got Beatles album for Christmas. I love your song. I love the Christmas album, thank you for sharing.

Wow, nice song & video. I appreciate the pretty winter scenery so much, being that I live in Texas.

Was immer Ihr auch an Musik macht, es ist jedes Mal wunderschön und ich schließe mich Benny Holst an: ,,,love you….

Beautifully done. I tear up as I am reminded of my departed son who used to sing this as a child. Thank you.

You are so amazingly good, so wonderful you sing – and the video is so beautifully made … I have also bought all your CDs … love you …

I LOVED Walking In The Air! Thank you both for this beautiful Christmas gift!
